I have to say that this is probably one of the most awkard stops at DQ that my husband and I have ever had. While traveling, my husband likes to stop at just about any DQ he can find. This trip was no different. This time, I got excited thinking I could FINALLY get the butterscotch cone that I can't seem to find in FL any longer. We walk in to find a 7-8 person line waiting to be given their order and another person waiting to have their order taken. About 10 minutes pass and we've STILL not been waited on. Instead of fulfilling orders, the DQ employee chooses to converse with the adjoining Subway employee while all these customers wait! Come to find out the ice cream then runs out and while the Subway person has NO CUSTOMERS he chooses to stand around and talk instead of help his co-worker out, if even to go get a new bag of ice cream mix............ 15-20 ish minutes pass and we finally get to the counter to place our order. I ask about the butterscotch dip for the ice cream cones. I was told "it's not on the menu and we don't have it." Customer service is definitely lacking in this location as is a desire to provide quality & timely service. We will NOT be returning to this location! Honestly the food was terrible and the staff were even worse. When we showed up they put a hand written sign on the register saying kitchen closed. When we went outside and came back in a few minutes later (adjacent to a a subway) the sign had been removed. I asked if they were serving food and they responded in a very grouchy way "yes". The only decent thing was the burger. Other than that the order was terrible. The guy taking my order acted like I was an inconvenience. Mind I say I was with my two young daughters who had never been to Dairy Queen. I highly recommend you skip this location. They don't mind either. read more

This is the most disgusting Dairy Queen I've ever seen. We were looking for a grill & chill on our way home but all the DQs were inside gas stations. Finally we gave in and stopped here. HUGE mistake! This place was riddled with flies, alive and dead. The two girls who were working were friendly and attentive. I had ordered a chocolate cone and the cashier was nice enough to tell me that the chocolate was super runny so I just got fries (before I noticed all the flies). One of the patrons was allowing her 3 year old to walk on the counter where the food was served, so nasty!!! Bottom line, stay far away from this place! read more

Worse service and restaurant I've ever been in. I live near here and have tried to use this store a few times and the people working there get upset if you simply walk up to the counter. The last straw came tonight when we arrived an hour before closing time and they told us they are close due to being shorthanded while the FOUR of them (DQ workers) talked amongst them selfs. I will never revisit this or any other DQ and recommend all of my friends do the same. This place is absolutely horrible. It's a Dairy Queen inside of a Mobil gas station along with a Subway. I confirmed on the DQ website that this is the location at I-75 & U S 129 (EXIT 85) because I could not find it on Yelp. It was at the exit 451, though. I don't understand why it says exit 85 online, but scrolling down on Google even on their webpage will show that it is the exit 451. I confirmed that it is the place I went to by going down to street view and it is definitely the Dairy Queen I went to in Jasper, FL. I have pictures to confirm all that I have here. I stopped here because my son had been crying for a while and we wanted to feed him and give him a chance to get out of his car seat because we were on a long trip. I walked inside and there were several people in there. I confirmed that the DQ was open prior to going in because it looked like they had turned off their outside lights upon our arrival just after 8 pm. The sign on the door noted it was open until 10 pm on a Saturday. The group looked like they were being served, but people looked confused as to what was going on otherwise. A trucker walked in behind me and both of us were completely bewildered as to whether there was a line or if someone else was waiting to order. I eventually took the initiative and walked up and stood next to a register with my wallet in hand. The entire time this is going on there is a young girl making ice creams and another girl that made a couple of trips from the back and handed some food to a couple of people. In the course of at least 5 minutes i was never acknowledged once. I was never greeted. The truck driver was never greeted. I eventually got fed up waiting on anything to happen that I just went and sat down and fed my son his baby food. I wanted to get an ice cream that my wife and I could share, but that just didn't happen. I wish I could write something about how much I enjoyed the ice cream, but I couldn't even get an acknowledgment from the awful staff. DQ needs to change their slogan to "It's not fast food... it's no food." read more

This was the longest stop we've ever made! 20 minutes for a hotdog! They did give the banana, milk and ice cream cone right away but I couldnt let my grandson eat that before his lunch! The staff did give us a second and then 3rd cone which was the saving grace but I don't think I'd stop here again! read more

I am new to the area of Live Oak, Florida. Recently, I went into the Dairy Queen located in Live Oak,off of State Road 129 to get a peanut butter cup milkshake. I was very clear in what I had asked for, and even made sure that it was able to be made as a Milkshake, rather than it come out being like a blizzard or something of that nature. The line through the drive-through was exceptionally long, as was the line inside. I chose to remain in the drive-through. When I received What was supposed to be my milkshake, it was literally water-thin, and seemed to consist of only MILK AND LARGE PIECES of Reese's peanut butter cups. I mentioned this to the person at the drive thru window as she handed my $5+ "milk shake" to me, and she SHRUGGED and basically just waved me off in what was very much a dismissal of my issue. I know that it gets very busy there, but I was very disappointed in what was SUPPOSED to be a milkshake. I'll not ever ask for anything "special" again, and I will only try this place once more to see if maybe it was an "off" day or new employee situation. read more

As far as Dairy Queen schedule is this is one of the best service I've ever had. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful and quick. They had a sense of humor and were joking around with my kids. Our blizzards were perfect. The ladies seem to enjoy their jobs. The restaurant is nothing special but the ladies at the counter are trying real hard. Good job lady. read more

I think this was the worst Dairy Queen that I've ever been to. It's amazing how two managers could sit in the back and let their crew suffer the way they did. One young lady was literally about to die because she was afraid to leave work and risk being fired. Another young lady was running grill and running front counter by herself with a store full of paid customers. I applaud her and that's the ONLY reason why I give this place the stars it's getting now. If it wasn't for her I would say -5 stars all day. If you have time to sit down and eat even if you're getting it to go, then come here but if you're rushing then just keep on driving. It's not even worth it read more

I got a turtle pecan cluster dairy queen blizzard and it was delicious. I must say that the young lady whose name his Hannah was working by herself and was working really hard. She was going as fast as possible and she was still smiling. That's why I gave this dairy queen a five star rating. Because otherwise if she hadn't of worked so hard I probably would've given it a one because of management. Why in a busy time of day would they have only one hard-working young lady do all the work herself. There were some in the back fixing food but she was overwhelmed! Give that lady a raise!
