Always yummy! They were slammed this September 12th Sunday night! But they were so fast! After ordering it was less than a 5 minute wait! Everything was correct! We ordered two mini blizzards, a small, and a large for &19. They have a decent amount of seating inside! But on a nice night it's great to sit outside in the front tables! It's a good place to have a relaxing family night

My first time... no complaints! My daughter loves DQ... sheesh!! Well when I can I warrant her a visit here for a cotton candy blizzard. I am so glad they offer a mini size and not just 'small' - FYI a mini size is just enough... portion control! I benefit from her visit by redeeming the coupon code to receive a free dilly bar! Many years ago, I used to get the cherry dip cone so this was a bit of nostalgia for me. So I guess it's not so bad, but if you can limit dairy :) Nevertheless, this location is located on the always busy Battlefield Blvd. It is also near a bridge that seems to go up at least five times a day. Well on this day in particular, an early Saturday afternoon, there was no wait in line and the staff was super friendly and prepared our order within a minute. There were others dining and a few others came in after us so it seems like this location does get steady business. The ice cream is super soft, not my favorite, but my daughter sure enjoys it! The cherry dilly bar, that's my favorite. I actually prefer the dipped ice cream over the soft ice cream (blizzard). They offer ice cream cake and other desserts that may be to your liking. There are deals as well. Check them out! They also have outdoor seating which I love. It's kind close to the busy street so be super careful and alert. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Very nice, keeping us safe! Everyone wearing masks !

Delicious ice cream combined with friendly service. Everything was just as I remembered pre-COVID. Very happy to support our local business.

We had an electronic coupon offered by Capital One for a buy one Blizzard and get one of equal or lesser value free. We placed our order and showed our coupon. The teen cashier deferred to his manager. The manager rudely stated the coupon must be printed. We tried to explain to her that it did not state that but she abruptly stated it is printed right there in the coupon. I've attached a photo of what we were trying to use which clearly does not show anywhere that it had to be printed. We bought the blizzards without the coupon and they were good (only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1)

    Butterscotch Dilly Bar...not worth buying!

Our little one wanted to get some ice cream. We all decided to stop and try out Dairy Queen since it was right where we were. Hubby got an apple pie blizzard which was very yummy!..and I'm not at all a blizzard lover. Our son just had a small cup of soft serve vanilla ice cream, can't go wrong with that. I decided to throw it back with a butterscotch dilly bar. Not at all what I remember as a kid. I tasted no butterscotch, I just tasted melting chemicals. The vanilla even tasted weird. I should have went with my gut, Dairy Queen is not our first ice cream pick, nor our 2nd, or our 3rd. :(

Shout out to Melvin! Best customer service - if you're going to eat at DQ, the one at 200 S Battlefield in Chesapeake is the way to go.

Ice cream can get incredibly rich for me very fast, but that wasn't my experience with their rainbow cookie ice cream! Very smooth, almost reminiscent to birthday cake, with just the right touch of sweetness. There are plenty of seating indoors, and lots of spots to park your car outside! The staff are friendly and they keep the place extremely spotless, cleaning surfaces and even wiping down the glass doors and windows through the night. They also have a water dispenser in the event that you need a sip of water and it's great for people like myself who need water after a sweet! The place is very quiet around the evening (we were there around 8:40pm) and there's hardly a line, if at all. But the place stays open til 10pm throughout the week. The place deserves more traction. I will definitely be coming back here with my husband who is an ice cream fiend!

First off, the staff were super friendly and welcoming right when we walked in. They were more than happy to let us sample a few flavors, which I always appreciate, especially when there are so many options and everything sounds good. The flavor selection is seriously impressive, and it makes choosing just one feel impossible. They don't just do basic scoops either. You can get milkshakes, malts, ready-to-go pints, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream pies, or keep it classic with a cup or cone. Basically, whatever ice-cream mood you're in, they've got something for you. I ended up going with the cookie dough ice cream sandwich, and it absolutely hit the spot. The ice cream was super creamy and packed with cookie dough, and the cookies themselves were soft, chewy, and the perfect match for the filling. It was rich without being too much, which is saying something for an ice cream sandwich. The whole place just had a really easy, fun vibe. Nothing pretentious, just good ice cream, lots of choices, and nice people! If you're in the area and craving something sweet, give them a try. Whether it's the middle of summer or literally below freezing outside, it's worth stopping in.

I was impressed by the number of different flavors that they had available and they all sound delicious!! I ended up getting a Salted Caramel Butter pecan scoop in a waffle cone and my girlfriend got the banana pudding in a cup. Both were smooth and creamy and not overly sweet. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other flavors. Our total was about 12 dollars. The place was nice and clean with several places to sit and the young ladies that were working were kind and polite! Make sure you try it out and let me know your fave flavor!!

I pulled into the shopping center & found a locked door at the shop. Peeping into the window I saw that it was definitely closed. Disappointed I turned to leave. A man wheeling in what must have been today's prepared ice creams asked me if I wanted ice cream. When I answered in the affirmative he unlocked the door & turned on the lights. I learned that during the winter they don't open till 3. Asking if he was the owner, he confirmed that he & his wife were. Going to the back while I got my two pints of Ube Ice Cream from the cooler, he returned with three complementary containers of flavors that I hadn't tried. Sharing with him the fact that I wasn't an Ice Cream person but loved his, he asked if it was the Ube. I told him that flavor was my favorite but it was because his tasted different & so much better than other Ice Cream. Mentioning that other Ice Cream was just too sweet. He confirmed that was the biggest mistake people made preparing Ice Cream. He certainly knows the best way to prepare the deliciousness. Somehow we also even got on the topic of NFL Football. Don't I always? It's wonderful to learn that one of my favorite spots is owned by such a friendly & nice person. He didn't have to unlock the door so I could buy Ice Cream. But he did. So I left the store with a bag full of my favorite treat. If you haven't yet tried Sundae Scoop you've missed the best Ice Cream in Coastal Virginia. Even if it's not in your part of the Metro, make a trip there. You won't regret it.
