I've been getting ice cream at Dairy Queen since I was a kid. Although the ice cream was classic, the store itself was disgusting. Not a clean table to be found and there were dirty napkins and plastic lids on the floor. It was so awful we did not want to sit inside. Ordered online so our ice cream would be ready or nearly ready when we arrived. Don't order online at this store! When we walked in there was no line but some people waiting for their orders. I told the cashier my name and that I'd ordered online. He verified having the order and that it'd be a moment. The people before us got their items and then I'm realizing multiple people have ordered after we arrived and gotten their ice cream and we've still not gotten our order. I ask the same cashier and he indicates he's helping the line. I've already paid and a good ten people who came after us have gotten their orders. He gestures to the short line he still has. I literally say "so you're never going to make our ice cream if people keep walking in?" Another customer piped in that he should help me. Did he? No. I approached another person working there when I could get her attention and she finally made the ice cream for my daughters and I. If you don't know how to manage online ordering, don't let people order online. The one guy was literally never going to make our ice cream in favor of the people walking in even though we'd been there for quite some time and already paid. I also watched a different girl who was getting ice cream for customers tie her shoe and not wash her hands. I didn't see her touching any of the food directly but still seemed gross. read more

Well they advertise" Sea salt caramel truffle blizzard" so I ordered it and left. I started eating it and it didn't taste anything sea salt or caramel.... And it wasn't thick it was runny almost like milkshake consistency, which they usually hold upside down before they serve it .. I guess that's why she didn't of it would've ran outta the cup ... anyways ...we drove back and go in and I tried to explain to the workers that it " TASTE" like a Health bar blizzard. The guy at the counter was like " we don't have health bar" ok I understand that but I ordered a SEA SALT CARAMEL TRUFFLE blizzard which only had toffee pieces and chocolate in it and there was nothing " Sea salt tasting no caramel taste no truffles" he just kept saying " we don't have health bar" ... so It was this big waste of time.. They didn't offer to remake anything absolutely nothing was resolved and Stupid me actually left a tip for a blizzard all together that I paid $9.73 that taste like a health bar blizzard. So I wasted the gas going back for absolutely nothing in return only at the end to be told it was a mix they used and it was " more chocolate tasting because the mix was out of the sea salt caramel truffles"..just would've been nice to know ahead of time before you order it knowing your not going to get anything remotely close to sea salt caramel truffle blizzard .... Never will I go there again.... Lessen learned.... Customer service is non existent... the customer is never right and common sense is lacking. I am writing this review to commend this locations service and the quality of their ice cream treats. We are regulars and come here weekly after my daughters basketball & volleyball games. Every time we are here the staff is really welcoming and they even know us and the flavors we like. My kids really look forward to our visits as well as the ice cream cakes for birthdays. Never tried the food at any DQs such as the hotdogs. Why go here for hotdogs or food though? Blizzards are so much better than the McFlurries you can get at McDonalds, so I wish there was a DQ in the Alhambra area! Service was pretty fast, but it wasn't busy at all. It wasn't a big deal to us since they seemed busy, so we decided on an oreo and brownie blizzard! This place is a bit hidden, but it is worth looking for. It is a full DQ, includes the Blizzards, Soft Serve, Ice Cream Cakes, and much more. There is never a long wait, and every time I have been there I am greeted and helped right away. They have great service. What they have is excellent. It has a limited product selection, as it basically does all kinds of things with Dairy Queen ice cream, but no food like hot dogs or hamburgers. I'm not surprised by the 2 and a half star rating. I came to this establishment on May 3rd 2021 at 8:00. I waited 30 minutes because it was a busy night, I understand that. However when I went in to purchase an ice cream cake for a birthday, the worker had the audacity to ask me to come back in fifteen minutes because they're busy. In the fifteen minutes that I wait for the greeting on my cake, he could have wrote the message (especially since he wasn't the only worker) and there was no offer to have it in the freezer while I waited for them to not be busy. I went in for a hot fudge sundae. It came with nothing but, fudge and ice cream. I asked about the nuts, whip cream and cherry. I had already paid and apparently if you get all of that it cost extra. It has been a bazillion years since I've had a Dairy Queen blizzard (yes, I'm THAT old). The funny thing is that I didn't even realize there was a Dairy Queen near me until a couple of months ago when we happened to go to a grocery store that I rarely go to anymore (Albertsons)......... so I spotted the DQ and said to my husband who was with me....... "Can we get a Blizzard?" He looked at me, puzzled, because he couldn't imagine what made me randomly ask for that..... until I pointed across the parking lot to the Dairy Queen sitting over yonder. His eyes lit up as mine had seconds before when I spotted it. I got a Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard, which I can tell you, is a brand new flavor (well, at least to me). They've added a few new flavors since I last went...... again, too many years ago for me to remember. So this flavor combo I got had salted caramel truffles, buttery toffee pieces, cocoa fudge, and chocolate chunks blended with their creamy vanilla soft serve ice cream. It was delicious and as good as I remember it being, albeit with some new flavors for me to taste. I was sorry I only got a "medium" cuz it was gooooooooood. I like the fact that they have branched out with some new flavors...... and flavor combos at that. What I don't like is that I now know I have a DQ close to me...... so, willpower will now have to be exercised, so I don't seek them out all the time. We love DQ but twice now we have been there and if you are ordering multiple items and you are one person how do you not ask if you need lids to go? I have never been to a better place to get ice cream in my life. I was there last night and it was pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but I was able to get my blizzards pretty quickly and they were amazing. The employees were extremely nice and I had to give them a tip for there extremely hard work during a busy night. This has been my DQ for about 10 years. We've been there many, many times and always found it to be average but acceptable. We went tonight and I tried to pay with a DQ gift certificate I received for my birthday. I printed out the coupon and presented it just like it says on the instructions. The counter guy said sorry, but they don't take those. He called the owner to verify that and no, they wouldn't take it. The teenage counter guy said he got yelled at by the owner the last time he took one so sorry, can't do it. I didn't complain, but that's just stupid. Let's start off by saying this is one of the best dairy queen's I have ever visited. This place is one of a kind. As soon as you walk in the door, you are striked with vibrant and matching colors that are surrounding you. This place has a very homey vibe to it. Second, the employees were extremely nice with a smile, granting my needs and delivering with a flavorful soft serve treat. The treat was absolutely amazing as it melted in my mouth and I couldn't help but get another one and a blizzard for my family. The seating was also great with chairs to fit my whole family and kids. Although I live over 30 minutes from this place, I came back to this dairy queen once again to get a cake. The cake was on another level with its flavor and filling. It's hard to believe such an ice cream desert could be treated as a delicacy. Extremely happy with my experience and now I am an active customer to this place, picking up a cone everyday before work. 10/10 read more
