Went there last night... ordered two steak finger baskets... paid and drove home... approximately 2 miles... get home open boxes only to find almost burned ( re-cooked chicken tenders) we ordered steak fingers not chicken WTF??? Smelled bad and looked worse... Do not go here. Ordered a jalitos ranch burger and they were out of the jalitos ranch so they gave me normal ranch. They put a tiny splatter on there, no where near enough. All of the food was ice cold by the time we got it. Truthfully didn't even wanna eat it. Drive thru sucks too, need to do better guys! read more

The sign on the Dairy Queen in Luling says they stay open until 10:30pm on Saturday. We arrived at 9pm to dine in. Someone from the back yells to the girl taking our order to lock the door after she took our order. The girl taking our order was rude, no customer service skills. They were out of gravy for the chicken strips, chili for chili dogs, and taco shells. She acted like we shouldn't have come in at all. While we were sitting waiting for our order so many people stopped by or tried to order from the drive thru and all were turned away. The tables were dirty and with only us in the dining room they had plenty of time to clean. It's a shame one of the only places to eat something late in Luling the staff are rude and don't care about their community. read more

I called DQ and asked the attendant to have the car at the window go around so I could get my order. She said that they were just almost through completing their order and they would be on their way. I like their burgers but the quality of their meat could be improved. Fries and onion rings are not good! McDonalds fries rule. Some of the facilities are dirty and needs updating. Service is extremely slow. Their drive-thru takes forever to get through and staff seems incompetent. They have never gotten our order right. We went by last night and my salads lid wasn't on correctly and the bottom of our bag was full of the salad. My husband's blizzard did not have any candy mixed into it. We thought twice about stopping at this Dairy Queen based on the reviews. We expected to see a run-down, dirty restaurant. To our surprise, this is one of the biggest and cleanest we've experienced. Never in my life have i encountered a fast food employee that i genuinely feel deserved a hug. I came here with my family, there's 7 of us, and we ordered 9 meals and 5 blizzards. The food came out so fast we barely had time to settle into our table and everything tasted perfect. We got our blizzards after our meal and they all came out fast and frosty, however the employee who brought them insisted that 2 of them were "too melted" for his standards and gave us both of those before going back in and remaking us 2 more. He then came back a few minutes later to let us know that the staff had make an extra ice cream sunday and wanted to know if we wanted it so they didnt have to throw it out. We had multiple interactions with the employees and they were all so happy and friendly i've never eaten in a more enjoyable fast food environment. Overall i believe whoever that guy was that was our server deserves a raise and maybe a free trip to disney and if this DQ keeps having a 2-star rating im declaring yelp a myth. read more

This is the worst Dairy Queen I have ever eaten at in my entire life. The last time I ate here was back in 2009 and I have boycotted this location ever since. When paying for my drive-thru order my DQ gift card would not work at the register. I assured the clerk there was money on the card because I called and checked before I made the trip into town specifically for DQ. The woman working the drive through informed me there was nothing she could do, so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager, Diana Hernandez, came to the window and repeated the same steps as the clerk. She also informed me there was nothing to be done. I then asked if there was a customer service line she could contact to discover the problem. The manager made a disgusted face and said rudely that she was much too busy and I could do that myself. I was insulted and told the manager that I would try and call the number on the back of the card, but I would remain at the drive-thru window until the issue was resolved. FYI - there was only one other patron in the whole restaurant. I called the number and informed the service rep of my predicament. During my conversation with the rep I watched as the "busy" manager wandered to the kitchen where she then chatted with two young ladies cooking and wiped at trays. The gentleman on the phone eventually asked to speak with the manager. When the manager returned to the window I handed her my cell phone so she could speak with the rep. After some discussion and activities with the register the manager replaced the gift card. It was determined the magnetic strip was not working. I was finally given my food without even an apology. As I drove away thoroughly dissatisfied with my DQ visit I realized the manager had never given back my cell phone. I had to turn my car around and drive back to the restaurant to retrieve my phone. All this could have been avoided had the manager simply stepped up to the plate. Please keep in mind I visited this location in the middle of the week and during the middle of the afternoon around 2:30 PM. The restaurant was not busy nor was there anyone behind me in the drive-thru. There was no excuse for the manager's total lack of professionalism and extremely poor customer service. I have been a DQ customer all my life and have nothing but pleasant memories from my childhood. However, this incident made me not want to return to DQ or purchase DQ gift cards for my friends and family since they do not work properly. I complained to corporate and they brushed me off to whom I assumed was the owner, George Dietrich, as he never identified himself but responded with this email: "We are sorry to report that your card DID NOT have any money left on it, and we lost about $14 on the transaction. We are not in the business to lose money, and it isn't our responsibility to call the DQ headquarters when a card won't work. Just sat through the drive-through for over 35 minutes with only two trucks ahead of me. The service was awful. Finally get to the window after telling them that my daughter is highly allergic to peanuts. They hand me her ice cream with peanuts all over it. Not to mention, the entire staff has gang tattoos highly visible all over them. I have been to Dairy Queens in gas stations that have a cleaner appearance and better service. I love Dairy Queen's blizzards but if I lived here, I'd go to another town to get ice cream. read more
