Slow. So slow that I waited a few minutes and didn't get any service and I left. At least their bathroom is clean!

Hands down, the worst Dairy Queen I've ever visited! Definitely the blind leading the blind. Don't stop here!

Last night we showed up and made a large order from the computerized kiosk. And then waited. The first thing the manager said to us was not to make that order on the kiosk. Isn't that what they are the for? It took a total of 45minutes to make all the sandwiches, but half way through they stopped making them. I asked how much longer, and the cashier stated that they had to do the drive through orders first. I told her but i was there before the cars, her answer was a long "yep" and took another customer's order. They even cleared my order from the screen so the timer would stop counting. THE WORST PART: One of my inmates had an allergy to onions, so i ordered all of the cheeseburgers with no onions. Wouldn't you know, 2 of his burgers were made with onions. He could have become extremely sick or even died at the hands of a McDonald's employee who can't read a screen. They did remake, but did not apologize. I told the manager a more specific time frame that i would be coming by and she stated that she wants 2-3hrs notice for my orders. Not even possible! You think management would enjoy an expensive order helping them hit their numbers for that hour. I guess not here. Will not return to this McDonald's.

I love jalapeños and I failed to ask for an extra grilled jalapeño, so that's on me. The service was friendly and attentive. And nice ambience. Wasn't crowded. Of course Monday night at 7:30pm. The tostadas were dry and tasteless, as if they were made from a dried cardboard slurry or something. The salsa was strange and impossible to discern whether it was homemade or commercially available. In any case, neither classification would want to claim it. It is incomprehensible how most Mexican restaurants seem to get terribly wrong this critically important this simple first impression offering. It's not hard, folks. You know what's in salsa; just make it fresh every day, and for goodness' sake, taste it before you serve it. Chips don't require a Ph.D, either; just cut some corn tortillas into triangles, fry them up and hit 'em with a little salt. But please...get rid of the little cardboard things! If you get this one thing right, you'll go a long way toward having more repeat customers. We had fajita tacos for our entree, and they were surprisingly tasty and tender. The service was very good, as was the ambiance. We would be back if they would let me make the chips and salsa.

Great staff pointed us right to a table and quickly got us menus and drinks. We knew with a homecoming spot this, to us, the only choice is chicken fried steak and Hamburger steak with sides. Both were excellent, fresh and house made thru and thru. My side salad was a little disappointing but again this is a spot for southern selections like mashed potatoes, cream corn and hand battered onion rings - all of which we had and loved. The rolls wet a little sweet like Hawaiian rolls which were so good with some butter. We left after grabbing some massive to go teas for the road. Highly recommend if you are hungry!

Their walls have pictures of veterans which was really special. I had the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli.. oh and you MUST have one of their rolls. Hamburger steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes were real! My husband had the fish and shrimp, fries and coleslaw ( they have 2 options- vinegar base or mayo base) we chose vinegar base. We really like the vinegar base it was different and very good, believe it may have had some bell peppers in it. His shrimp and fish were cooked perfectly. The only regret we had was not getting a dessert.. no room for it after these two wonderful meals.

It was delicious! We'll go back soon to try other dishes, but our meals were good-extraordinary. SIL had ground beef crispy taco, and she said it was very good. Hubby had grilled nopalitos with eggs, toast, and a side of pico de gallo (yummy). We all tried the nopalitos and they were delicious. My husband even asked the chef for the recipe. We'll be trying to make that soon. The migas were the star of the breakfast, IMO. Served with beans, crispy potatoes, bacon, and tortillas. Generous portion-everyone shared my plate, and there was plenty left for me. Very Fresh and tasty, and different from other Mexican restaurants. They cooked it with fresh sliced jalapeños, fresh tomatoes, and fresh onions. I gave most of the jalapeños to hubby, but the flavor remained just spicy enough for me. It was mixed with ranchero sauce and cheese, but neither was overbearing. It just synthesized into a delicious dish, somewhat reminiscent of chilaquiles mixed with eggs. The server and part owner was Julio's, and his parents were the chefs. The prices were reasonable. There were 6-7 four top tables, and a booth for 4. I think the 4 tops could seat 6 as well. Nice AC. Clean, even the bathroom. The only negative was No Coffee. Julio said they usually had it, but it wasn't working at the moment. I believe they stop serving breakfast at 11am, and we were there at 10:20. Perhaps they didn't realize there had been a time change. Anyway, no coffee for breakfast didn't sit well with SIL and hubby. I had a Diet Coke and was happy as a clam. It was definitely work the 20 drive from Waco! * Recommended: Check out the donut/bakery next door to Julio's. I wrote a review for Starlight Donuts. Not sure if that's the name, but the address is correct.
