Great food for a small town! They take care of their customers and offer great tasting meals and desserts!

We had the chicken fried steak and the hamburger steak. Both were very good. The broccoli was great and my wife liked the creamed corn. Our waitress was attentive without hovering and the ambience with all the veteran pictures is cool. We will stop again!

This place never disappoints! Have tasted most menu items and they are all delicious. If you are driving through Rosebud, it's a must stop for good ole fashioned home cooking. Plus the staff is amazing!

For quite a while, since 2013 my wife and I have been travelling from Addison to Brenham; and finally in June we decided to have lunch at the Cafe. A waitress greeted us as we walked in and told us to sit anywhere. The pics of the Veterans on the Quonset Hut walls were very inspiring! The menu was somewhat overwhelming!! However, I decided upon the chicken fried steak(which stayed hot throughout the meal!!!) and mashed taters and creamed corn. My wife chose the fried liver and onions, mashed taters, and fried okra. Unfortunately, she has not able to finish her meal and requested a "doggy bag" from the waitress. Me not being a lover of liver and onions, requested that her to go box be securely mounted to the luggage rack for the ride home! A wonderful meal, however after leaving the restaurant, I noticed on my credit card receipt that they charged for " a check out fee " because we used a credit card. I called them when we got home and a waitress who answered the phone said " that's what we do.... we charge an extra 4% to recoup the cost of providing credit card convenience to our customers" . However, they charge the customer an extra fee to process the tax that has already been charged to the customer. So they are making extra money of of a credit card transaction off of the tax that has already been charged to the customer. May not sound like much but, I'm sure it's going into somebody's pocket!!

However, upon opening the front door I was met with beautiful fine dining ambience: exotic ceramic-tiled walls, cherry-finished wicker furniture cushioned with satin pillows, and of course the enormous golden cherub statue in the center of the room which delicately sprayed chicken tortilla soup into the Venice-like channels that crosshatched the restaurant. A hostess in a gondola rowed us to our table singing a song in another language (maybe Italian?) before letting us know that the Soup Man would be with us shortly as he was very busy today. The warning was unwarranted though, as the Soup Man shortly thereafter appeared at our table addressing, us by name and apologizing that the hostess didn't realize what esteemed guests we were. Bashfully I stammered that he must have me confused with someone else as I'd never been to this establishment before, but he softly shook his head and with a smile said, "I know all who live within this city." and pulled a steaming bowl of turkish wedding soup (my favorite!) from behind my ear as if to prove his point. Overall it was a wonderful experience! I am docking it one star because they were out of oyster crackers to crumble on my soup. Will be back!

Our waitress was good, checked on us a couple times. The inside of the resteraunt is small but has a resemblance of what a ramen place would look like in Japan/Asia. (If you're gluten-free, there is only ONE option - the Rockin Yummen has rice noodles for GF). We ordered a set of chicken egg rolls and a set of pork egg rolls. Each of them came with 3, and a sweet/sour sauce which wasn't too bad. The rolls were very fresh in flavors and the filling, will definitely get those again. We both the Miso Ramen with chicken (made it spicy - have to ask for that one to be specifically made be spicy, its optional), and the Curry Men. This was my first time having ramen, so I went with the Miso and spicy and it was delicious. Although I wasn't a fan of the sesame seeds, the soup had a really good flavor, the spicy was a good back-of-the-throat spice level, and the veggies were good. I wish it came with more veggies as I'd prefer more veggies than protein, it was a good first experience of ramen. He got the Curry Men, and that was absolutely delicious. The broth was so flavorful and tasted just like a very thin layer of curry in a brothy state. We'd both get that one again when we go. Plus they came in the actual ramen bowls, which was pretty cool to try out. Ended up being enough for us to have leftovers for one meal for how big the servings were.

Hidden gem for sure. Not your typical menu, seems to be a fusion of sorts. So don't expect…read moretraditional Vietnamese items, it's more creative. Service was fast, friendly and welcoming. The inside was vey inviting and tastefully decorated. We had the Beef Bulgogi Bao, this was really yummy. The bao was soft and delightful. The beef had a sweet bulgogi glaze that worked really well with it. The rest of the toppings added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. My only wish was that it was 4 baos and not two since they are so small. The highlight was the Firecracker Shrimp. Be warned this is not a spicy dish like you might think from the name. The crispy shrimp was crunchy and not soggy at all, it felt pretty clean and not greasy. It came with salad, rice and a spicy soy sauce and it was just so good. With 12 shrimp, it's definitely shareable between 2 people. Lastly we had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6. It tasted like Ovaltine and was mostly ice with just a few sips. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. We will be back to try the rest of the items, it all looked so good. Definitely will be a repeat customer. 4.5 stars rounded up for now.
