This place seems to get plenty of foot traffic, especially for such a small footprint. We were lucky to come in just before a rush, lol. Originally I just wanted ice cream, but a well-placed sign inside advertising the shrimp basket hooked me (pun intended). Considering I heard three other people comment on the shrimp basket when they entered, apparently this was generating quite the buzz, pfft. I was impressed how quickly the employees were able to keep up with all the orders that were placed in such a short time period, including the busy drive thru. Our food was ready quickly and was hot, fresh, and delicious! The interior is fairly small with six tables. There's also a couple outdoor tables out back. Small parking lot in front, but more spaces to park in back. Bathrooms were serviceable, nothing great, single occupant. Free style machine was a nice bonus. read more

Was a loyal customer for 30 years. They no longer honor coupons, rebates, gift cards so I will never patronize this location ever again.

I'd give less than one star because I dared to ask why 2 single cheeseburgers, (1 had bacon, plus 4 really poor looking chicken tenders) was over $19. When I went back to question the total, I was told "deluxe means lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles. The manager came from the back and told me to "GTFO"...twice, but he used the whole words. Never listened to my question or concerns. This USED to be a great place to go. Apparently not anymore. I would have even considered going back, and get the plain cheeseburger and add what I wanted at home. Never again. No manager anywhere should tell a customer to GTFO. Oh, and they said "2cheese"?? Horrible. My friend dine in got his order wrong three times asking for plain . My incident going thru drive thru on an ebike . First a supervisor says she got in trouble for not letting me goin thru because it is motorized and motorcycles go thru the drive thru .I have a drivers license. Americana at it's best. It's hard to deny the classic fast food menu. The real reason for frequenting any Dairy Queen however, ICE CREAM! The selection is unreal. Got to say I'm profoundly disappointed, honestly kind of pissed. Went through the drive through tonight because, well, that's what you have to do. Got home with my order and it was completely wrong. We were in the drive thru line and my son needed to use the restroom I had him get out of the car and went to the door, the door was locked. I knocked and the window lady (pink hair) opened and said no one can come in. I told her my 5 year old son needed to use the restroom and she yelled absolutely no! Got an oreo blizzard and man was it good. There was a 14 year old boy working behind the counter and he was very smart and cute. He deserves a raise. The bathroom was messy and had no paper towels so you can tell they don't keep up the bathroom much. There is a drive through but also a free parking lot and tables to eat inside. Not what it used to be, unfortunately. The ice cream and treats are still wonderful, but the rest isn't worth it unless you're going for the burger. I ordered the grilled chicken and got a sad and barely cooked patty made of rubber on a floppy roll slathered in Miracle Whip and a few shreds of lettuce.The tomato was the only appetizing thing about it. The last year or so the quality of the sandwiches have gone down. The workers are generally quick to show that they don't want to be there and one in particular loves to eyeroll at every chance she gets. Other local fast food businesses employing young people don't have this issue nearly as much so seems DQ is just hiring anyone they can at this point. People who don't want to be at their job won't care about the product they put out at their job. After leaving Yellowstone Park we wanted a place to eat that was a bit away from the park so we decided to drive to this Dairy Queen for a late lunch. When we arrived the restaurant was empty which was nice because we were able to order our food quickly. The staff here was polite but seemed a bit confused by our New England accents. After we ordered our meals we sat down and they quickly brought our food out to us. I bought a Riblet sandwich while my wife bought a cheeseburger and both were pretty good. On the way out we both bought ice cream which was their typical delicious soft serve. The only issues that we ran into were that the other customers entering the restaurant were loud and obnoxious. At one point two groups of people almost got in a fist fight in the dining room which was fun to see. The other inconvenience was that the dining room had a lot of flies which was annoying while we ate. In the end this was an average Dairy Queen. The staff was nice, the food was good, and the dining room was fairly comfortable. Beyond the quirks, not a bad place and we would come back in the future. read more

Manager said she refused to sell me a kids cone because they are not for human consumption. They are for dogs ONLY. According to her, if she got caught selling a kids cone to someone to be eaten by a human being, she would be fired and corporate would shut down the entire restaurant. I'm not taking anything out of context, not misquoting in any way, there was no argument or raised voices (except hers) as I was personally dumbfounded into shocked silence. This crazy woman went on a 5 minute rant about how it was all Texas' fault for wanting to have a special Texas menu, so now ALL Dairy Queens everywhere outside of Texas can no longer sell kids cones to kids or anyone else unless they walk in with a dog and agree to feed it directly to the dog. (Keep in mind, she had NO idea I'm originally from Texas.) Her rant went on for so long about Texas wanting to be special and how she nearly got fired in North Dakota for serving a kids cone to someone buying it for a kid and how DQ had been in business for 68 years (wrong, 79 yrs, she didn't even have her facts straight) that I just had to put my hand up and say OK, OK! Right in the middle of a transaction the dark haired girl that was waiting on me left me to go talk to some guy that was in the drive through. My credit card sat in the machine until another employee came and completed the order after some time. When the original employee came back I told her "that wasn't very nice," and she argued with me to try and justify what she did. I nearly cancelled my order, but didn't want to go through the trouble. If you have to eat in Livingston, avoid this place. It's a franchised dive that is continuously going down hill. Recently I stopped by for a friend, to grab her a quick blizzard. I sat at the drive through order board for 3 minutes with nobody taking my order. At the 4 minute mark I spoke into the drive through speaker saying "Hello? Can I place an order, please?" To which I was met with a snarky response from a Teenager "Bro, we're really busy in here right now, so you're going to have to wait a bit". I said f*ck this nonsense, and drove off. AWESOME!! BEST BLIZZARD EVER. Been to this store many times since April 2012 and the service and quality have consistently been 5 Star. Place is clean, kids working here are polite and work as fast as possible (not always perfect, but they are kind and they try!) Boy oh boy - could the stores in Bozeman and Belgrade learn from this DQ. I now drive the 23 miles when I crave the DQ!! So worth the extra effort!! THANK YOU!! read more

We patron here weekly (that 100% ended today). The food is never consistent in quality or preparation. Customer service is even less consistent. Today when I asked what the manager could do about a drink that I didn't want with my meal that I was paying for, she promptly through the blame on the owners and said I had to be charged even if I didn't want or took it. My 3 chicken strips were not what they usually are, nor toast. Got 6 tater tots with my meal. The only thing remotely "Dairy Queen" about this place was my drink cup. They didn't have the the waffle cone for the waffle cone sundae so then I tried to order a cone dipped in chocolate. The order taker couldn't understand that I wanted the one pictured on their menu. Just another Dairy Queen. Nothing too remarkable either way. My only real comment is the fact that they awkwardly make you sign your credit card receipt, which is a pain in the rear end. Not sure why they do this since almost every other fast food place in America does not. It almost seems like they do it because they are begging for tips. The drive thru is a pain to navigate and the curb is far removed from the restaurant, which makes retrieving food a challenge if you have short arms.
