    Reese's pb cup blizzard (small)

This is my DQ spot! The owner Brian is friendly and provides excellent customer service. The blizzards always satisfy my sweet tooth! My go to is the Reese's blizzard. Definitely recommend this Dairy Queen in Villa Park for all of your favorite dairy sweet treats!

Strawberry banana vanilla chunky style mmmmm

I wanted a custom creation. A strawberry, banana and vanilla ice cream drink but I wanted the ingredients chunky not smooth. The man did the request in a flash and it was delicious. The only added benefit from that creation is at least for me it really settles my stomach down. I guess I should stop with the Italian beefs for breakfast!! Lol

Busy drive thru. It has outdoor seating.

We rode the H-D over to this location on a Saturday night at 8p. We had one set of people ordering in front of us and they were served quickly, as were we. About 8:30p the "ice cream lovers" rolled in. We saw up to 8 vehicles in the drive thru. This location has 2 tables and 2 bench seats in the back of the store, in their "parking lot/drive thru". We had a wonderful time sitting back there laughing at how long people are willing to wait in their cars, rather than get out and walk to the wind. Neat place!

NOT REAL ROYALTY We drove into the parking lot at 11:17am on Memorial Day and noticed the "Closed" sign but no posted hours. I saw someone working inside in the dark. So I decided to call and the guy answered the phone. He told me they opened at 11:30am and we decided to camp out in the parking lot for 13 minutes. We had a lot of time to contemplate life. First, I thought we must be crazy getting ice cream! It's snowing in May. Not really but it was sure cold enough. I wouldn't have been surprised with all of the crazy weather we have been having. Secondly, if the Dairy Queen dated the Burger King would that be weird and what would happen if they got married. I am scared to even see that world. Is it 11:30 yet? Okay enough of my crazy thoughts. We were going to walk up to the window to order but a light drizzle started, so we decided to utilize the drive thru and stay dry. We placed our order and drove up to the window. The young girl working looked really unhappy to be working on Memorial Day. I tried making a joke to lighten her mood but she ignored me. It was a little awkward. The sad part is she walked into work at 11:27am and she was moody at 11:31am. Wow it is going to be a long day working next to her! She handed us our ice cream order. A young man took our gift card and when he handed it back to me his hands were full of chocolate. It was a little gross. I hope he washed his hands when he went back to making ice cream. They seemed to be making multiple ice cream cups even though we were the only customers here. That soft serve ice cream was over flowing. Our ice cream was good and consistent with every Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I was going to get the Oreo Blizzard but switched at the last minute to a Peanut Buster Parfait. That is my first love here. Hot fudge and peanuts on that delicious vanilla soft serve. Yum! My 4 stars is for the quality of the ice cream. Dairy Queen delivers quality ice cream. On a side note I would give the staff 1 star for there lack off enthusiasm and lack of hygiene. Dirty chocolate hands are gross. Hopefully this isn't a common occurrence among the staff and they were just having bad day. I probably won't come back here but that is because I don't live anywhere near this location. The dirty hands handing me back my gift card and receipt would be another reason I wouldn't come back. We just happened to be in the area and lucky enough to find a Dairy Queen.

Finished blessed Reece's Pieces Cookie Dough Blizzard

Best blizzard ever period. On a 75 degree Villa Park day there is nothing better to get with your friends or family. The Reese's Pieces Cookie Dough small blizzard masterfully crafted by Thomas blessed my mouth. I fed this blizzard to my 95 year old grandma who's been paralyzed for 40 years, as soon as she tasted it she got up, went outside and did a 360 dunk on our basketball hoop. THANK YOU THOMAS FOR THIS GODLY ICE CREAM.

However, halal burgers are very reasonable in pricing and they're very juicy. They're a little less than those American gourmet burgers ($15-17). There is parking in the back as well as some on the left side. This is not a fancy looking place, it's more of a hole in the wall. Lower your expectations because you're here for the food, nothing else. The staff was nice and helpful. I ordered a mango lassi, gladiator burger, and cowboy (with an extra patty). The mango lassi was good. The burgers were huge so I got my money's worth. I ordered mine medium rare. -gladiator 5 - it had double patties, halal turkey bacon, eggs, coleslaw, etc. It was perfect and very palatable. I really liked that CEO sauce. -cowboy 3.5 - it has a lot of similar ingredients as the gladiator except it has onion rings, no eggs or coleslaw, and bbq sauce. For some reason, the patties taste different from the gladiator, it was kind of bland. Everything else tasted fine.

Their inside feels like a greenhouse with tons of glass walls around but they also have a large patio (some shaded, some not spots). On Saturdays, they do 1/2 price frozen drinks, $1 wings, and $17 buckets of booze. I tried the Frozen Espresso Martini which was the perfect patio sipper! My friends got the Redtide which was a bit tart for me but they loved it. For food, we got some shareables for the table: Elote, Mac & Cheese, Ancho Carrots, and Cornbread. All the sides were amazing but the standouts were the elote and carrots. For meals, everyone got a mixture of Sandwiches and Golden Boy Plates. The Pig & Bull Sandwich was tender, packed with flavor, and loved the sweet slaw paired with it. Even on the plates, the meat was all juicy and tender. I absolutely loved the vibe of this spot and cannot wait for more warm weather to come back! Be sure to check out their weekly specials for extra deals!

Got the trinity and a 1/4 chicken with the slaw and rice (I haven't had rice in a bit. My genes were craving it). Off menu they added some slices of pork steak on as a free treat. And that probably was my favorite item. A wonderful sticky pork steak where it ate similar to a beef cheek. A slightly sweet honey(?) glaze. Who needs chapstick when you got these. The ribs also had a slightly sweet glaze that gave a great competition style bite. Very meaty on top. I always fall back and forth on if I prefer full spares vs St. Louis cuts and today I'm a StL guy. The heat and spice level for the sausage today was nice and I'm taking bites in my hotel room while typing this. The 1/4 was Smokey but the skin was a little tough. Tho still flavorful and idk why but the sauce that came with it gave me some graham cracker vibes that I'm all for with how good it was. I kinda got distracted by a bird outside rather than the one on my platter so I wasn't fully paying attention. lol. A nice crunchy black pepper bark on the brisket with a moist interior. I love the contrast of texture it brings. I'm stoked about finding and stopping by Golden Boy Barbecue today. Especially because I totally spent at least an hr. Maybe a little more talking about bbq around TX and rest of the states with Joey there.
