First I was just wondering if I'm the only one who thinks that things have changed through out the years with changing the menu and portions. I ordered the banana split and it was in a container that fit half of a banana. No joke it was like it was done that way. The line was very long but that's not an issue because it is really hot here so that's expected. I was shocked to see how much the portion sizes have decreased with the same price. By the time we got to the window it was somewhat melted. How can that be when we were only a couple of cars away after ordering. It was drive thru by the way. Terrible left my order sitting on counter for 8 minutes just to remember they owed me a cone then took my cold fries and scooted them into a bag grossed me out so bad I don't think I'd ever be back at an DQ again and the manager was there and tried his best to cover and it was so disgraceful no dignity at all he didn't even care frow fries came out 15mins later I didn't even complain just watched the BS unfold. We stopped in for some quick treats, and were pleasantly greeted by a friendly staff and a clean (and Holiday decorated) lobby. The sundaes and combo meals were both great; crispy Chicken and thick, tasteful ice cream concotions. Decent parking in the front and the drive thru looked like a smooth operation (just don't try to drive your 5th wheel through it like someone tried to last year; it did not end well). Even though my entire experience with this location consists of a cone at the drive-thru, it exceeded my expectations. The voice thru the speaker was cheerful and patient, and good sound quality--clear and understandable. The line moved quickly, checkout was efficient. The cone was creamy and didn't melt too fast, even in 107° weather. (Too often, franchise ice cream is grainy with crystals or sloppy soft.) read more

We are frequent DQ customers, most recently 6 months in Utah. We arrived in Yuma 10/20 and since we can not utilize the drive up (we have a dually truck) I went inside to order 2 blizzards. The gal who waited on me was very pleasant but after that it was ALL downhill. Why I had to wait over 20 minutes for 2 blizzards and only then received them because I spoke up and asked if they forgot about me. The response was "we have a line at drive thru".....my response was "I was here before any of those drive thru customers"......totally unacceptable. To top it off this DQ pricing is outrageous. In Utah for a medium blizzard and a small blizzard we paid $9.36 here in Yuma the exact same order was $12.85. One and done, we will not return here. read more

went to DQ to get a large vanilla icecream chocolate dipped cone. this is the 3rd time they've given me a "large" that's more cone than icecream! it's only this location. idk I think it's the manager who works in the pm that's usually the guy who I always ask to remake it and he just goes back and forth with me. he acts like the icecream comes out of his pocket. my large was so skinny and the cone was still around it not even close to the cream inside touching it! They make the worst blizzards the cups only three-quarter full, and the toppings are not mixed all the way through. It's not just one bad night it's every time you go and try to give them a second chance in the third chance just drive a few miles down the road to the next Dairy Queen. Nice new store but they do not sell hamburgers, most likely because of Carl's JR on the same property so they only sell chicken items. I tried the chicken sandwich which was disappointing, it reminded me of a manufactured chicken chicken breast. Since they can only sell chicken they should up their quality. We got stuck with car trouble in the area. We stopped in here to cool off. The ice cream was great of course, but the service was so great. This is probably the worst location I have been to, the staff is not friendly, rolling eyes and cannot get an order correct. They were making jokes about the customer before me right in front of my face. Management needs to re evaluate the employees they are hiring. I'd rather go to to any other place than here. We ordered a kids meal for my boy and the chicken was cold to the touch. The lady at the drive through does not wear gloves, touches everyone's payment (cash or card) then touched the food and the cone that we ordered. I asked to get a new order because she touched her bare fingers on the food after not washing her hands and she told me no, they don't have to wear gloves. we go a couple of times a week and it is always kind of stressing to figure it out who is going to be working the drive thru, why? There is this really rude girl with glasses that cant even bother to say hi or hello or thank you, just says "total", "cone", blizzard and hands you the things angrily. Too young to be so mad at work. Also, last couple of times (at least the 4 times we have been there) only half of the cup of the blizzards we order have actual ingredients, the bottom half is only vanilla ice cream. We understand they are busy and have long lines but that shouldn't compromise quality.
