Plenty of essential items for home and daily use. Clean shop, friendly staff, and affordable prices mostly under $2.

I feel like this is like any standard Daiso store, it is full of cute items from Sanrio and Tokidoki (I'm a huge fan of both) at a really good price. The stationery items are a lifesaver if you're a student and on a budget. If you're a planner, they have a bunch of journals, washi tape, pens, and other supplies. I got a few Sanrio plastic bags in different sizes and one-touch wipe lids to make my wipes look adorable. Parking seemed to be alright, it is next to the Ranch 99 store but when we went, there were plenty of spots.

Awesome service and one of the better locations! The place is very stocked and the shop is kind of small so it always feels packed. Regardless, we always have a pleasant experience and manage to find the things we come for most of the time. They have an awesome variety of items and keep up with the latest trends and seasonal items by placing them by the door. The prices are pretty similar to the other ones and aren't too unreasonable. The service and employees are the best part. They're very nice and helpful which make me really enjoy our visit. My sister and I needed help reaching for something from a top shelf and when I asked the cashier because no one else was around, he immediately dropped everything and came to help me. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Anytime I see a Daiso I have to stop in for a little Looksee. Look for things that I didn't know that I needed. Of course Japanese snacks . I miss Japan one day I'll come back Japan until then DAISO it is!

This location has a HUGE office supply section! I love to go here for cute pens, note pads, and stickers for school.

Ogenki desu ka, Daiso? http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/daiso-japan-artesia-artesia?select=ml9xqX92FMPz2gRY8Hroew#ml9xqX92FMPz2gRY8Hroew Daiso Japan had their Grand Opening celebration at their newest location in Artesia, in front of 99 Ranch market, which happens to be very close to me. I've heard the raves from others & read Yelpers reviews on Daiso's other locations, but I've never managed to visit because I didn't want to drive that far. Lo & behold, there is now a location that's convenient & practical to go to. I arrived about 45 mins before opening, & the line was about 50-60 deep. Everyone who stopped by today received a raffle ticket for various prizes, such as an Ipad mini & a Keurig K-Cup brewer- http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/daiso-japan-artesia-artesia?select=ml9xqX92FMPz2gRY8Hroew#nq_EbwmFuGqT7pSkJe3_wQ The first 100 customers that made a purchase were treated to a complimentary gift bag, the contents of which were- http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/daiso-japan-artesia-artesia?select=ml9xqX92FMPz2gRY8Hroew#jxJBhYX2sOPKKJKCdkALWQ The store was packed to the gills, so I couldn't check out everything. But, browsing some of the aisles, Daiso reminded me of a more upscale 99 cent only store, except most items are $1.50, with some items costing a little more. Regardless of the crowd, the cashiers made checkout a breeze. I'm excited that Daiso Japan Artesia is now open. I will definitely be back to check my raffle ticket & browse the entire store for all the Japanese goodies for sale. No refunds/exchanges Domo origato, Daiso!

This is the perfect place to get disposable goods you really don't need, but you end up getting them just because you realize they exist and they are pretty cheap. It's like the Japanese version of 99 Cent Store except most of the items are $1.50. I come here mainly for amusement, just to see if I can find some ridiculous item and submit it to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I'm really digging "Chocorooms," chocolate covered crackers shaped like mushrooms, and chocolate scented soft strap. I still have no idea what the latter item is for or if it has any socially redeeming quality. There are some useful items like food umbrella to keep flies and bugs away from your food, and lots of tupperware and cleaning stuff, but nothing is all that appealing. All sales are final, no returns or exchanges. It's written all over the store and all cashiers will repeat this to each customer at the register. It's like they're trying to brainwash you. When I walked out of here that's all I could remember. I couldn't remember what I bought I definitely remembered the no return policy. I even had dreams about it.

I'm going to be poor, thanks to you Daiso! Yes, now that you've finally moved into my hood that used to occupy the Diamond Bakery unit and just a few foot away from 99 Ranch, I'm sure I will be shelling out more money out of my wallet. Not only will I spent money on useless trinkets that looks like it is "made for Daiso Japan, really made in China". I often come here just for the Japanese candy/crackers that I know I can't find in stores like 99 Ranch. Also since summertime is here, great place to buy beach toys and drinks/snacks. The layout works like this, start from the right and work your way back to the left as you enter as the registers are on that side by the entrance. Note: $10 credit card minimum purchase, does not accept $100 bills, and all sales final. That's what the cashiers will keep saying to you while checking out. Grand opening goes through tomorrow morning , Saturday 4/27/13 at 10am. The raffle will be announced on Sunday so check your ticket stubs. I've been to five store Daiso grand openings, perhaps my time is due for a prize?

I've been to a few Daiso stores and this one just seemed more cramped and not as well kept; I found merchandise strewn across the aisles in several places throughout the store. That would be unheard of at other locations. As with all Daiso stores, items are $1.50 unless otherwise marked. A lot of the merchandise was the same as I've seen in other stores but I did see quite a few things here that I haven't seen elsewhere. I walked out with a cutting board, gardening gloves, hand towels and some rice crackers. The cashier was very nice and, even though she undoubtedly has to repeat it a million times each day, made the Daiso "all sales are final" speech as if it were something sweet and special just for me.

Convenient discount store, inexpensive tools for daily use, organized racks for variety choices of products, friendly and fast checkout.

While Daiso Japan in Artesia made me feel a little bit claustrophobic walking through, it was a nice store for a few reasons... - Affordable, neat gift ideas for just about anyone or any occasion - there are so many useful items and some that you would imagine, but don't see anywhere else... Unique, but practical items. - The kitchen section! - Nice employees... Busy bees, but nice. Parking is sparse at times. Review #286

    Origami paper $1.50 each!
    Victor W.

Great selection that even had sample Pocky mushroom shaped treats (strawberry and chocolate were the two flavored "mushroom shaped caps"). Everything in the store is cheap - from Qtips, to Cookware, to pet products, to Origami paper (note: the selection at this location is pretty great). They have cosmetics, socks, neck pillows, honestly - you name it, they probably have something akin to it. They also have snack foods, but I haven't bought any from them. Tips/Takeaways: -Highly recommend and it's next to 99 Ranch, get all your shopping needs taken care of while you are around!

First impression is seeing the streaked tile floor and opened boxes and packaging in wooden slated tables. Dozens of customers digging through aimlessly and moving through the piles which appeared to have no rhyme or reason in organization. Nothing had pricing in the table bins. My GF asked but the gentleman in the front did yell from time to time that everything was $4 & it would be $3 on Sunday. After an hour, I had some party decor, a adhesive wall paper roll, shower steamers, and small drawstring gift bags. My GF picked up a double walled tumbler, 6pk of backup reading glasses, inflatable mini bed, 4 pk Ticonderoga pencils, and car window shades. It was worth noting that although the majority was of no interest, there were people with dozens of items in their cart. To each their own. I saw lots of party decor, disposable plates, makeup, cell phone accessories, home decor, misc craft, seasonal, etc. Few name brands, such as Sharpies and Ticonderoga, mostly generic Amazon goods made in China. All of the items come bought as mystery pallets from Amazon & the store is restocked on Thurs and Friday. Pricing is the most expensive on the restock days and I can't even fathom what's left by $0.50 Weds! Will be back to treasure hunt again! Highly recommend if the overconsumption doesn't bother you & you have the patience to go through the items. Some customers were aggressively throwing items around & coming close to hitting others with their carts as they inched through the bins.

It's a constantly refilling pile of Amazon returns! :P…read more The selection is random, this is certainly a "never the same thing twice" type of scenario. It's rows of bins where pallets are just unloaded and the prices are essentially negotiated. The service was friendly, and everyone seemed to be playing friendly, I'm curious to see if it's that same way when the doors first open, but overall it was a good scenario.

Pretty much all the knick-knacks and bigger than we've bought from various Daiso's have been good quality and durable: I tend to lose/misplace them more frequently than having them break. Have had good luck with glass 'tupperware' containers here: tight sealing, very durable, great for storing food that stain plastic (e.g. kimchi).
