I've been coming to Grocery Outlet since it first opened, and one thing that always stands out is the incredible service, especially from Autumn. She's always friendly, approachable, and genuinely cares about both customers and her coworkers. For example, April 2nd late afternoon when I had concerns about missing items on and changes to delivery schedules, she took the time to explain everything clearly and even went out of her way to grab some of my favorite sourdough bread from the back. She's attentive, thoughtful, and makes shopping a real pleasure. Autumn consistently goes above and beyond, and her positive attitude really makes this store feel welcoming. Came in here o the way to camp for some supplies. Very limited soda options, and prices vary, but there's still deals to be had depending o what you're looking for. We got some beef jerky at a fair price since it was branded for a TV show from some months ago in a funky flavor, but who cares when you're camping. It's sort of a grocery store meets a 99c item lineup. Still worth the check though as I'm sure there's random finds. read more

This is the last time going to this location. I was there on Seotember 26th, bought Italian Sausage. My faukt that I was in a rush and didn't "babysit" them by checking the date code like I normally do. Came home, put it in the freezer. I just now took it out to cook up with spaghetti and the date is September 4th!!!!! Probably one of the best GO's in the area because of the selection of items. They carry and stock very large quantities of the different items. The wine selection is fairly good as well. The new owners really turned this place around from the previous owners for about the last year. All in all, I recommend it. Opens at 7 am which is a big bonus for me (vs. 8 am). Nice checkers. Grocery Outlet is awesome! It's one of my favorite stores. You never know what you're going to find here. There are a variety of good quality snacks such as Kind bars and other granola bars. I like the variety of chips also. They have vitamins, shampoos, and conditioners at a much lower price than Target, etc. Grocery Outlet also has a large variety of vegan frozen items. I buy a lot of these as I like vegan food. They also have a variety of protein powders you can add to your smoothies. The groceries here are not the cheapest. The products and pricing are fine, but the manager could use a refresher course on customer service skills. Customers typically don't enjoy feeling talked down to when they ask simple questions. This specific branch of grocery outlet is 5 stars. The staff are fantastic. If you don't shop at these stores ever you need to tempter your expectations on what you'll find. This isn't the one stop shopping experience of a big name grocery store. I like to come here first and see what I can grab here. I also really enjoy this store for quick shopping trips. They're always opening new registers to make sure the line is never long. The groceries here are a mix of staples, produce, health food and then the assortment of random things that really are a great deal vs. other stores. I have also saved a ton on name brands here. It can be frustrating how things rotate in and out of stock but that just means stocking up when they're here. read more

On item it say 1.25 however they are charging people 1.50. But you have to look at your receipt. Management and employees are not honoring the 1.25 on the packages. And then the workers get upset that you found out about their MISTAKE. they need to fix this or be reported to the local chamber of commerce. read more

Never been here before and was excited to come. This store or outlet reminds me of Aldi. Was just ok, prices are slightly cheaper. The meat section was small and I didn't really see a difference in prices. The ones I did of-course the portions were smaller. I live closer to ralphs so from my experience I don't think I would be back. I didn't find anything that would bring me back here unfortunately. read more

First time shopping at this location. Store was very clean and prices were comparable to other Grocery Outlets, if not a little lower. Parking lot is huge and was easy to get in and out of. Only one cashier that early in the morning but luckily was not very busy (other employees available stocking merchandise). Will definitely be back to this location if in the area again. read more

We are in the midst of the Covid19 situation. On March 13, Los Angeles County was declared a NO School, NO non essential work zone. Most of the world is now affected and under self quarantine or lockdown. Which led to many families forced to stock up on food supplies hence a panic buying type of situation. So this was my third stop for groceries since two other major stores I went to had EMPTY shelves of meat, breads, eggs, and paper towels or toilet paper. First off, I was EXTREMELY grateful that there was a lot of fresh produce: Asparagus spears(Product of Mexico) (2 for $3), bagged green beans, cabbage, fresh fruit (got bananas) , most of which was labeled organic. A very calm lady was rationing out water (2 gallons per customer) and a three pack roll of bamboo fiber paper towels ($4.99). I commended her later for being calm in what was otherwise a frenzy of people grabbing what they could. We do need more people like her. Also lots of granola, packaged nuts, jerky, quick bite types of food. Bought yogurt, salsa to go with a giant bag of tortilla chips. Four boxes of frozen pizza (Product of Italy). Also found Vicks - lemon scented no less! I was shopping like I was going camping for an extended period of time. I sincerely hope everyone out there is staying safe, observing social distancing (I was consciously doing it - one cart in front to the next person is the recommended safe distance, and there was no crowd in the store itself). This might be the last Yelp post for a while since dine in restaurants, bars, fitness centers are also mandated for closure. I am always pleased with the helpful staff and the very clean store. Everything is merchandised orderly and neatly. I started regularly going here because they have the best avocados anywhere. They are not bruised, they ripen slowly and they taste great. It is a fun place to shop because you never know what you are going to find. There are some excellent deals too. Was looking to pick up a few limes on my lunch break. Didn't want to drive to the over priced Ralph's store nearby. Walked out of this store with 2 large bags full of food. Great prices. The Produce section was inexpensive. Everyone working at this store was so friendly and helpful. I asked an employee if there was a coupon available online. She advised me to sign up through Grocery Outlet's website. Which I did. A $3.00 coupon was emailed to me minutes after I signed up. I will not be returning as the store manager is a very rude young lady and doesn't understand customer service. Twice I have had issues and twice I have either been ignored or told sorry she was not willing to make corrections to mistakes she made. I've boughten ice cream, tic tacs, eggs, sauces, vitamins n take them home and they either are already expired or about too. Gross. By far my favorite grocery outlet! Always has amazing prices on keto, organic, gluten free snacks and foods. I see similar brands at sprouts, so I go a bit crazy whenever I go here because the prices are 50% or more off. The store is always super clean and organized, and the people who work there are always friendly. It is never super crowded. I follow them on IG and they post what the deals of the week are. Interesting twist to purchase dated groceries. This is the 2nd location of Grocery Outlet in East Long Beach; first located at Spring & Palo Verde. This one is newer & larger, but manager definitely not as friendly to customers. Other location not as spacious, but employees treat folks lot better. Pick your choice. Personally, I'm giving the other one better rating because I've seen action at both places. The store on 8145 Wardlow is super nice! Clean, bright, and the customer service is on point. The owners are there alot and i got to meet them (Charles and Raja). They were super nice and seemed to genuinely care. They didn't have the full gambit of products like their larger competitors but they had what i needed and for much lower prices (especially my El Monterrey burritos i can't live without - $2.99 a bag) My new Main grocery store! read more
