What a wonderful place to have in Austin! We thought we'd take a quick look because the shelves were still being stocked given the store is so new, but we easily spent two hours collecting items that are functional, cute and inexpensive! If you're looking for kitchen items for unconventional serving or dorm storage options or well-priced holiday decor, certainly the place to be. While it's listed as a grocery store, I don't think of it as one. I have heard it be described as a Japanese dollar store and I think that is a better description. read more

I love shopping at Daiso however I noticed the merchandise has changed. I used to purchase the Collagen cream, but this Daiso no longer carries it. Also no longer carry small wooden Bamboo stand for Sushi. Only carry the plastic ones. It's ok because I still enjoy the products. Only complaint I have is provide more customer service training for cashier. The young man ringing up our items was unfriendly and did not acknowledge customers when they said hello or thank you. read more

Recommendation from family member who lives in Austin and previously California area to shop here. Brought my daughter who starts college in the fall along with younger daughter and her cousin. Prices are a little confusing but a sign said if there's no price tag, it's $1.50. Thus we call this the 1.50 store. If there is a price, you have to look at the price conversion posters. I bought cute Japanese erasers, 3 stuffed animals, some makeup and a hoke puncher. I saw a cute rice paddle with a holder shaped like a cat that I almost bought. I had my daughter by desk accessories and bathroom things for her dorm room. Lots of interesting school supplies and craft items too. read more

We come here often to get little trinkets and office supplies at an affordable price! Some things we have gotten are a dog food container, small ziploc bags for stickers, planters, organizers, an ice scoop, and more! Definitely check it out if you need something that's not so mainstream! read more

Drove from San Antonio with family just to come to this store. Was a little disappointed as most of the shelves were empty. They didn't have much and the place was pretty crowded. I figured that because of this pandemic the place would regulate the amount of customers who entered. I would like to make the drive sometime again in the future to see if the shelves are restocked and when things are a bit more controlled. read more

I've never been to a Daiso or lived by a daiso so I was stoked when they opened this location. During the pandemic the lines were insane so I had to wait couple months before I checked it out. I finally got to go in and man does this place have such fun items. There are Knick knacks, kitchen supplies, beauty supplies, party things, and all the best snacks! Their pricing is marked on each shelf since it is different. The staff is very kind to help out figuring the prices too. If it wasn't so far north I'd be going here more often! read more

You really cannot beat the quality and price of this hidden gem. I never shop at Dollar Tree or Dollar General because their stuff is crap, but over here you get the best of both worlds where the stuff are affordable and the quality is still here. I love this store 100% recommend it! read more

Daisy is all sorts of awesome. There are so many cool items here. My friend was amazed at the cool storage and art supplies. This store tho is pretty popular so it can be hard to get around. Try off peak hours for the best experience. read more

YESSSS!!!! Finally! Austin has a Daiso! I've been to the ones in the DFW and Houston areas many times, but I finally have one close to me. Now, the selection is not as big as the other stores, but I think something is better than nothing. I loooooove their stationery aisle. I'm a sucker for cute stickers and washi tape. Don't even get me started on their Disney, San-X, and Sanrio items. They're just so cute! I like browsing through their cosmetic and food aisles to see what kind of unique things I can find. This place is like, the Target of dollar+ stores while it makes American dollar tree look like Walmart in my opinion lol. Absolutely love Daiso and the pricing here. Everything is so cheap and there is always something that I buy. This time I found a yoga ball for only $5-6 dollars and honestly the ball pump cost more than the yoga ball. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

Not a big location, but it has all the essentials from hangers to Japanese snacks to stickers and origami paper. It shares a parking lot with Ranch 99, so there's an abundance of parking as well. Unbeatable prices for cute supplies you can't find anywhere else. read more

I've personally waited 7 years for Austin to get a Daiso. So happy we finally got one. I went a few days after the opening and they were stocked pretty well. Staff was super nice. There is a capacity limit due to COVID, but the line outside only took 5 minutes on a Saturday. Most of the items are $1.50. I've uploaded a photo of their pricing chart. For a Saturday no long line was pretty easy going . Was able to place drink on table so we didn't have to throw them away or leave them which was nice . Sad I've been looking for a specific clear mug that I can't find to make a set one day I'll get it . It sits within a nice shopping center and the store its self is clean and well organized. This store's selection is smaller than other Daiso stores I've visited in California. However, I found tons of unique, cute and useful items so it made the trip worth it. There was a line to get in, but I appreciated the space in the store to shop without being crowded and the line moved quickly. The employees were super nice and helpful. Great daiso! Not the biggest I've been to but I'm just so happy that I don't have to wait till when I visit Dallas or Houston to go to a daiso anymore. They have a great selection; honestly more items than most of the bigger daisos that always have some empty shelves. One major plus is that this location is being incredibly responsible during COVID. Maybe it's because they opened during a pandemic but they were strict about the number of people in the store, masks, and disinfecting. The daiso in Houston was absolutely horrible about that...I really thought I was going to get COVID because that store was so crowded. Super happy with the Austin daiso! It is really fun to visit the store. They sell so many types of things there. I like to buy stationery, stickers, dishware, snacks, notebooks, hair accessories....etc. Good price! Most things are cheap! A good place to buy Christmas stocking stuffers. read more

There was a lot of hype around this store starting off, and while I believe it to be a place with everything at decent prices, it is not the super-cute Japanese explosion I felt like it was claimed to be. The items are somewhat unique in certain sections, but with the volume of inventory and the range of items, there is not much room for purely aesthetic items. I love Daiso, there's two in Houston. We came for a day trip to visit a friend at the ramen place nearby at 2:30pm. We thought we could visit when the line went down...the line never went down. Lol. By 6:30 we headed out and that line was STILL there. Different people but a line none the less. We didn't get to get a glance in but daiso is always a cute shop to visit so recommend going but probably not this one for a good while until that line settles down. read more

Absolutely love Daiso. You can find all sorts of bits & bobs that you just NEED at home. They have all sorts of Asian snacks & drinks & I love the kitchen utensils. The stuffed animals are so soft & fluffy & affordable!!! Such a cute place. I love my Asian stores, supermarkets, whatever & this place is so cute. It was an enjoyable experience! The staff for the most part were kind but unfortunately there was a verbal argument with a customer that caused an employee to get fired. The employee did nothing wrong and just stated that COVID precautions were taking place and the customer went off at her. People who disrespect employees trying to keep you safe should just stay home because this particular store takes your safety very seriously. read more
