Very clean and well stocked! This appears to be a larger store with all of the categories available as compared to ones I've been to in NY.

I was so happy to find a Daiso in Texas! I would have driven to Houston but there is one in Austin. I love this store. I bought up so much when I went to one in Orange County CA. I was running out of their awesome nose strips and was going to order them online but checked their store finder first. It was an easy Sunday drive there from San Antonio. Plus, there are authentic Asian restaurants in the same shopping strip. We had a great time. The fun part of this store is discovering the cool inventions they have for your every day home needs. Great gadgets for the kitchen, tons of organization tools and bins, and almost everything is $1.50! Be careful though. I still spent $80!

An entire bag of Stuff is $50.

My kids love coming here. I can find a few good items to tidy up the house and stuff. Its a good place to look around and see what's there. A bit more expensive than a dollar store but with better quality items.

This place has it all. Lots of trinkets and snacks. Kinda like a mini Walmart, I saw socks, pencils, camping supplies and fishing stuff, just to make a few things. I like coming here when I'm in the area. Today I left with an entire bag of goodies. Stop by and see what you could find.

The layout of Daiso reminds me of dollar stores, but the items are up to Japanese kawaii standards. I don't think anything is excessively expensive either. There is a little bit of everything in this store, including kitchen supplies, beauty items, storage, dehumidifiers, and snacks. They essentially have an extensive selection of everyday necessities. The aisles are labeled with signs above to help you find anything you may need in different categories. There are also Japanese yen to American dollar conversion charts scattered throughout the store and posted on the walls. I'm not sure if all items are priced with Japanese yen labels, but the things I picked up to check all were priced in yen. Since this store is located in a plaza with other Asian restaurants and stores, it is very convenient to grab any "Asian" supplies here that you may not necessarily easily find elsewhere.

I am not a big shop-for-fun person, but every time I visit a city with a Daiso store, I have to stop in. They just have so many useful products at cheap prices! It's wonderful that our north-central Asian shopping center at Lamar & Airport now offers Daiso just down the way from Ranch 99. This "Japanese Dollar Store" opens at 10am and is observing great pandemic risk reduction strategies, so you may need to wait in a line to get in. No worries, the online site has a huge selection you can peruse while you wait. Think home furnishings & organization, kitchen tools, bento accessories, paper goods, awesome snacks, toys & gifts, party supplies, electronics accessories, beauty & skincare, and holiday decor. At the grand opening in Fall 2020, there are already tons of Christmas-themed items and a surprisingly large selection of Disney character-themed objects. Cold weather goods like fleece scarves & gloves for less than $5 each! Of course, all things Kawaii are also available. We just transitioned to "no shoes in the house" this year, so I'll be stocking up on an assortment of $2 slippers for the family.

I love going to daiso for the tea and coffee. The boss coffees are always good whether the latte or black. I just keep a few in me fridge. As for tea i get the cold brew tea very bitter and reminds me of japan. I also love the japanese snacks too. Yuup

This Rack location has a decent selection. Most recently went shoe shopping with my boyfriend and he found exactly what he needed. The dress I originally planned to wear did not work out, so I ordered another one. It's technically floor length, but I'm 5'10" so it stops at the ankle instead of covering my feet. So now the shoes have to be stunning enough that no one will even notice the hemline. I ordered a pair on Amazon that were supposed to arrive Friday. Then I got the dreaded update that they were delayed to Saturday... at 10 PM. Well, that's not going to work. So I made the mad dash to Nordstrom Rack Saturday morning. I walked in with low expectations, fully prepared to hit multiple stores before finding anything close to what I needed. Instead, I found the most gorgeous Badgley Mischka crystal pumps. They're slightly bigger than my normal size, but that actually works in my favor. They're comfortable, my toes can move, and I can already tell I won't be plotting my escape from them halfway through the evening. While I was there I grabbed a strapless bra and even found a formal bag that works better than the clutch I originally planned to carry. Sibyl at checkout was the perfect finishing touch to my morning. Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful. The whole experience felt like the Nordstrom culture of service I studied back in graduate school.

Their target audience is teens and young adults. Being a resident thrifter and consignment store connoisseur, my friends recommended I try Uptown Cheapskate located on Burnet Road in Austin, TX. The store is well-organized with placards delineating key sections of the store. Uptown Cheapskate carries vintage clothing, men and women's clothing and a variety of shoes as well as accessories. The store does not appear to be in "junk" mode as the pieces appear clean and presentable. Racks are sorted by type and style. While there was a Versace blouse displayed on the wall, I did not find any other upscale pieces. The brands tended to be more mainstream and not distinctly upscale designers. You can also sell clothes at Uptown Cheapskate. Bring in items that are in good condition and trending, and they will give you cash on the spot or a somewhat more in store credit. This is a great option for clothes sitting in your closet...waiting and waiting...for you to release them. Smile. Prices were reasonable, yet not deeply discounted. However, you could not tell this by the large meandering queue at the cash register. I picked up a couple of items to purchase and was then totally discouraged by the length of the queue, so I put my items back. Definitely will consider returning to Uptown Cheapskate at non-peak hours...
