I really love coming here. I wish there were more Daisos. I really love all the kitchen gadgets and stationary /art supplies. You check yourself out... I didn't see any employees but they must be around because the shelves are fully stocked. I enjoyed looking at every single item that they have . Of course , I will return.

"Circumstance has forced my hand To be a cut-priced person In a low-budget land. Times are hard, but we'll all survive. I just gotta learn to economize" (The Kinks) We were walking around Manhattan when I saw a store called Daiso Japan. My brother in law said something like, "It's kind of like a Japanese dollar store. Do you want to go in?" Well, what do you think I said? What a cool place! The store is packed with all kinds of stuff - Japanese foods, Disney and anime stuff, cosmetics, kitchen goods, masks and Halloween costumes, stationary, stuffed animals, and on and on. It's not really a "Dollar Store" because we bought five things, and their prices ranged from $2.25 for a 4-pack of Ramen to $4.50 for a nice storage tray. Some of the prices are in Yens, but they have nifty conversion charts to translate yens into dollars. Daiso has 3,620 stores in Japan and about 2,300 other stores around the world, including 90 in the U.S. To be honest, I had a blast going through the store. It will be a long time should I ever want another Daiso fix. They have no stores in my state, and the closest one for me is 81 miles away in Scarsdale, NY.

My friend told me about this store. It's like Miniso lost cousin. I would call it a dollar store. The pricing is confusing and a pain to figure out. A lot of cute merch, yet kind of expensive, honestly. Expensive snacks that you can get for cheap at Hmart. Or similar Friendly employees, check out is expensive, they have self check out :( Do I recommend.. nope

Located on 57th between 2nd and 3rd Ave. it's great to have a Daiso in NYC. Typical to Daiso in other states, great prices for all the kitchen goods and Asian foods. They do not take returns and no refunds and the sign is posted at checkout. Also as of 2023, no American Express and no Apple Pay. Still worth a look when passing by. I got a spoon with a hanging clip (see photo). Very useful for my purposes.

Came back again. If you like the items, I'd recommend you to buy them right away. Most of the i teams, you won't be finding when you return to the store. if it's first time, you probably spend time here about an 1hr at least.......Whole Foods is next door, you can sit down and open your items with your lunch! :)

To figure out what to pay, use their chart. Everything is $2 or more and marked up.

What stood out most was her patience and professionalism. Even in such a busy store, while working alone, she managed multiple customers flawlessly and with ease. It was honestly impressive and beautiful to watch her handle everything so smoothly without ever making anyone feel rushed. On top of that, she made sure to tell me about current promotions, which helped me save tremendously. I ended up purchasing all of her recommendations and couldn't be happier. This review is mainly, though, for the fragrances. There was a fragrance specialist named El-Aton Georges, who was eager to use his knowledge to help us, since I am so picky. He made it fun. It was like, "Okay, you may detect notes of this and that" even though I would be detecting opening notes of "a grandma apple putting her sandalwood cigarettes out into a bar of Irish Spring" or "a leather lemon changing motor oil while eating linen popcorn in a savannah rain, with end notes of Lil' Debbie Cosmic Brownie" So, look for El-Aton, and tell him I sent you. He is quite the Con-nose-seur and he welcomes you all.

I'm glad this one is still around since it's the most convenient location and most central at Rockefeller Center, compared to the other 4 stores (UES, Chelsea market, SoHo and W.Village). Their product styling is generally considered more boho chic apparel, accessories and home goods + furniture, I'd call it maybe more romantic and whimsical, less preppy and buttoned up. They're owned by Urban Outfitters which also owns Free People so the adjacencies between the aesthetics, products and target consumers make sense. They're geared toward the mid 20s to mid-40s age range, and prices tend to be on the mid to higher side for this type of product. Not to level of high-end designer but generally more than your mid-range mall retailers. In the countless number of times I've visited, staff here usually are cordial. There's a main level which has the main entrance from street-side, new seasonal collections, accessories and the checkout/register area towards the back of the store. Then there's a basement level which is accessible from with Rockefeller Center. The fitting rooms and home goods section are downstairs.

Has three floors in total in which each floor caters to different categories like heattech + men's + women's + children apparel + graphic tees. There's even a Uniqlo coffee shop on the 2nd floor. A large fake Christmas tree is placed in the center when first walking inside through the entrance. Then, a huge red escalator of heading up and down to each floor is behind the tree. Additionally. everything's either being neatly organized or stacked on most of the shelves and inside drawers except for a couple of areas here and there. The price range is reasonable for most apparel items besides the thick puffer jackets + sweaters + graphic tees. Even though there seem to be signs for the fitting room and cashiers/self-checkout, it's still pretty confusing to walk around and find stuff imo because of how large the Uniqlo space is. I have to flag down and ask different staff about the whereabouts of cashiers as I'm paying with cash. There's a bit of a line for those paying by cash despite several 5-6 cashiers being present while no line at all for self-checkout (card only). No line for the fitting room though. Generally, staff is shown as helpful + amiable + patient in a professional manner towards customers. My favorite section is probably by the heattech area. There're 3 various heattech types of warmth for both adults and children. Of course you can wear whichever layer as you please at the end of the day. All the desired temperatures are simply suitable for preferred reference anyway. The Original (Mild Weather) - 5°C to 20°C or 41°F to 68°F Extra Warmth (Colder Days) - -5°C to 15°C or 23°F to 59°F Ultra Warm (Extreme Cold) - -20°C to 10°C or -4°F to 50°F I think The Original layer of heattech is already pretty warm for the 30s-40s temperature here in NYC. The fabric is the thinnest in material. Very comfy to wear without being too stuffy on the inside. I bought two long sleeved heattech pieces today ($19.90 each). They also come in different colors and styles that might be suited to the personal taste of each and every customer. I'm not sure if they have a restroom for the public, will have to search for it next time...

I was greeted by Marie, who showed me one of the coats that I loved on sight. I turned and was instantly riveted by a magnificent sapphire blue coat dress displayed on a mannequin. Full disclosure --- Dressing rooms trigger the worst of my claustrophobic reactions. As though she could read my mind, Marie whisked a medium sized dress (size selected by me) over my turtleneck and trousers. It was gorgeous, but the fit didn't meet my high expectations. Marie instantly recognized that I should be in a size small, and in a matter of seconds had me in the smaller size. Cinderella's reaction to her Fairy Godmother's fashion magic couldn't have been more joyous than mine when I saw myself in the full length mirror. As a woman in the 7th decade of life, I can state with hard-earned authority, this was easily the most transformative experience I've ever had in my long career as a fashionista. Fast forward, I wore the dress to an event of Friday. I've had custom made dresses that didn't fit every inch of my body like this one, or flatter my figure as perfectly. Equally amazing is that the dress is so comfortable, I didn't want to take it off when I got home. On a scale of one to ten, everything about the experience --- the service, the quality of the fabric and the magic of the perfect tailoring scores off the scale to an easy 20 points. Without exaggeration, at least a dozen ladies at the Westport, CT luncheon asked where I'd found this magnificent creation. Forgive me. I selfishly decided NOT to tell them. XXX P.S.
