She walked my friends and me through several sections of the store to ensure that we found exactly what we were looking for. Ms Corita was personable and funny. But Mr Richard at the Customer Service Desk was beyond rule and unprofessional. We were shocked and a little bit of shopping excited dimmed after our encounter with him. He should not represent Macy's while interacting with customers. We were not deterred. Unfortunately we spent tons of time and money on three floors. On Memorial Day, I bought a white closed and shelves. False advertising: They did not state that the company is CHINESE and called Homsee. THREE MEN could not put together the furniture. I spent almost all day calling UPS and Macy's yesterday. My bank gave me a credit but I may lose it if I can't get this out of my home and back to Macy's. Who knows if I will be told to pay a lot. From an email to Macy's Customer Service: I spent all day on the phone with UPS and Macy's. I am closing all Macy's cards. UPS now says it is freight. The freight service does not honor the tracking. Macy's said they called to schedule a pickup so I wouldn't pay. UPS said they didn't call. What am I supposed to do? I want someone to come Saturday morning, call when they are here, come to the apartment, and get these packages out of my apartment. Please advise what am I supposed to do.

Moving along, went to the store on a busy Saturday afternoon, and there was indeed a great selection of clothes that i was in search of. The downside is that the dressing rooms don't have a seat inside and due to a knee injury i had to wait a long time for the only stall to become available. The dressing room area is extremely busy and the staff appeared overwhelm with the consumption of clothes left behind by customers. The space in the store is good, nothing appears cluttered or scattered and the floors are kept clean. Needed to use the restroom and that is also an area that only has one per gender and the lines become a bit much. Due to the restrooms overuse it definitely requires additional cleaning to maintain it clean and stocked with toiletries. Overall ok experience, I was not asked if I needed assistance by a staff member.

Very close to all the train routes. Shelves are stocked and neatly organized for the most part. This spot is supposedly smaller than other locations in the city. But that's okay, at least I didn't see anything like toys lying on the floor. No kids running around. Clean aisles + brightly lit area + decently spacious to walk around on your own. Surprised to see some Squishmallows peeking out in between other plushies. So, I was trying to reach for the ones from the top shelf. Staff from afar saw me struggling to reach but didn't offer any help + kept looking on and went back to chatting/joking with a coworker. This was around 9:30pm on a Sunday evening. I guess just a minor hiccup there, I will let it pass. Customers can find a limited yet decent selection of things like electronics, groceries, beauty and skincare/makeup, hygiene related products etc in each of their specific sections/aisles. The designs on greeting cards looked lovely. Some things were on sale like cat food - $10 for 12 cans. You just gotta stroll around to find out. It's convenient to have a Target in Midtown/next to the major train lines. Maybe I will stop by again, hopefully the service from employees will be better next time.

I like that there are plenty of cashiers -- check-out is generally quick and organized -- AND that Marshalls is located in the same building. Take the escalator up to TJ Maxx, and down to Marshalls. A few weeks ago I chatted with a fashion merchandiser who mentioned all the lines and stores her company services. When she included TJ Maxx, I said I was surprised. "Don't they get surplus from other stores to discount what hasn't been sold?" "Not necessarily," she replied. "That's what they want you to think!" Hmmm.... doesn't make a difference to me, but I thought it interesting that they have their own lines under different labels.

I wasn't sure if this was a thrift store at first, or a discount store. It is very similar to Job Lot. Everything's here. They have clothes, snacks, makeup, books, home supplies etc. but no neckties. This store is pretty messy, and very random with its inventory, but the prices are very low. I had to walk around for a while to find someone to ask about their merchandise. I asked a simple question about a product to at least ten different employees and received a different--and incorrect--answer each time. When I approached a woman wearing a long silk dress and heavy makeup to ask if her register was open, she avoided eye contact, paused for several seconds, then finally told me her counter was closed. I couldn't help but feel dismissed and uncomfortable--especially as an Asian customer. What made the experience even more unsettling was seeing her helping another (white) customer at the same register just minutes later. Thankfully, another associate--also a Black woman with short hair--was kind and welcoming and ended up helping me. But overall, this visit left me feeling judged, disrespected, and unwelcome.
