The WORST service ever in Mandeville. The food was good, when we got it. We were greeted by the owner, if that is what you call it, when we walked in. Told to sit where ever we would like to. We sat, we waited, and waited, and waited some more. Finally we get menus and asked what we would like to drink. Had to ask for silverware to stir our coffee and then no spoon was included. Asked for more sugar and was brought two, yes just two packets. My husband got his breakfast, without any syrup for his French toast, and was 1/2 through eating when I was brought half my order and then told they messed up my Gumbo and had to "redo" it???? We had to beg for coffee refills. Mind you it was not packed or overly busy. We were told they are under staffed and were not expecting to be busy because of the storm. Wanted to give it a try since it's close to the house. Walked in and was greeted by a great hostess. It was Sunday and my wife almost passed out from the temp in the restaurant. Wife ordered a Caesar salad and I ordered a meat lovers omelette. We both ordered the build you own Bloody Mary. Food came and we had no silverware, waitress who acted like she did not want to be there. She yelled out to the hostess to get our silverware and she was seating someone so it took another 5 min to get while we stared at our food. While making my Bloody Mary at the bar I could get our waitress complaining that she was ready to leave. Got back to the table took two bites of my food and she shows up with our check and asked if we wanted a Togo box. Worst service I have had while living on the Northshore for 20 years. As far as the food its sub par all my wife's salad was all dressing and my omelette was dry like it set under a lamp for 30 min. Just ordered the breakfast quinoa bowl with eggs over easy and added chicken. It smelled off but I couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from and I hate to speak up about issues with an order. I tried to tell myself it was the sriracha sauce (which is sickly sweet, something I think should be noted as sriracha isn't and I was expecting more savory) but my husbands bowl had the same sauce and no smell. My bowl smelled like rotten meat, that sickly sweet smell and I couldn't keep trying to tell myself it was okay so we said something. The waitress took it away and offered to have another made (NO THANKS!!) and before my son finished his toast I was burping uncontrollably (the same rotten taste trying to come up already. Before we left the parking lot I had a sharp pain in my side and by the time I got home I went straight to the bathroom to throw up. They still charged us for the bowl, too. read more

Great food and great atmosphere! We went for Sunday brunch and the biscuits and gravy was delicious, my wife got the poached eggs something but she said the eggs were poached perfect. I would say this restaurant is average and for a laid back meal with no rush. This restaurant was appealing when we walked it. Food was good. I often look to Yelp for new places to eat. Sadly, my experience did not live up to my expectations. In fact, if there were half stars to give they would get two and a half. I ordered the gumbo and crab salad sandwich. The gumbo was excellent. However, the sandwich was, I guess misleading is the most accurate word that comes to mind. When you can't tell what you are supposed to be eating, that's a red flag. I was really excited about trying this sandwich, but at the first bite I thought they had made a mistake. But, what's worse is I don't know what mistake they made. Was this chicken or tuna? It sure couldn't be crab. This sandwich had ZERO crab taste. I didn't bother to ask if they made a mistake, I just ate it. I shared it with my wife and she had the same reaction. Unfortunately it was pretty bland as well. Perhaps I should have stuck to the breakfast or brunch food, but my son got the seafood omelet, and it was pretty bland as well. I really loved the atmosphere of this place and the server was friendly. However, for the price, the food would have to improve considerably before I would want to go here again. My Family and I love Daisy Dukes!! I get the quinoa bowl every time I go and its delicious. Everything is good, staff is always friendly and its always clean. I have yet to try the bloody mary bar but I hear it's also very good. read more
