Got into Lakeland a bit late but still needed supper. This came up on Yelp and was an easy walk from the Terrace. Sign out front says it is under new management. The Daisy use to be call Tsunami. Huge bar and large restaurant. Nice interior with a mix of typical Asian art and visit colors with cool led lights for accents. I rally came for a roll or two but Jacki suggested I try Pho. I had never tried so we discussed it and I chose this with the shrimp. It came with a fish sauce which was delicious and then Jacki recommended I try it with some Hoisin sauce. Wow! Awesome. Filling but not overwhelming and not spicy which is key this late. Super friendly folks and delicious food.

Me and some coworkers came here for a going away lunch, and the service and food was incredible! We were immediately sat, and given menus. Our waitress was super nice and answered all of our questions. I got one of the sushi lunch combos, and it was a TON of food. (We also ordered crab rangoon's for the table because you have to of course). The food was great, it was actually my first time trying raw fish in sushi! Definitely will come back

Downtown Lakeland, good food and customer service. Nice area to walk around and view. Only con is street parking..

First, the location is perfect. It's very nice next to the park that you can walk around after dinner. They have the fish tank bar which is a fun gimmick. However, the service was.... Weird. Idk how else to describe it. First, we put our name down with the hostess and she said it would be about 10 - 15 minutes. We are in the waiting area right in front of her view for about 25 minutes. It's like she forgot about us somehow? No tables had left or moved, but there were so many empty tables, so after waiting, I went to the hostess to ask her if we would be seated soon. She says "oh!" And then immediately seats us??? The server was really awkward and didn't know anything about the menu as well. He kept saying he couldn't help us because he was new. Idk, it was an odd experience. Sushi was good, so that saved it. Drinks were really sugary and weak.

Great option for lunch as a vegan, but only on Thursdays and Fridays. This location is closed Monday through Wednesday for lunch hour. I had the vegan ramen with extra tofu again, it's the only thing I've ever tried here actually. The tofu add on is $5 but it's a good size portion. Parking downtown is tight but Manageable around lunchtime. In the evenings I imagine it's a little bit worse. My one complaint is the front door. The door is incredibly heavy and hard to open, this causes air pressure changes in the restaurant. The pressure changes were giving me a headache and ear pain every time someone opened the door. This is enough to keep me from visiting again.

Me and my girlfriend decided to eat at Tsunami Sushi for a dinner date and let me tell you...the food, drinks, service, and experience did not disappoint! I'm a local Lakelander and I honestly wish I had gone here more since opening, it was a 10/10 experience. Out of the 3 rolls we shared, I'd have to say the Hawaiian roll was by far my favorite- honestly, I would rank it in my top ten of all time. Also, our waitress was such an amazing person. We told her it was our anniversary and she gave us a complimentary desert, it was very sweet :) I would definitely go here again!

Visited Tsunami sushi last night and had an incredible meal. I only order Sashimi and many restaurants fail to provide adequate proportions that are satisfying . I'm selective about sushi restaurants and before going out reviewed restaurants photos online to make my selection. I selected Tsunami because I have eaten there before and Lakeland Fl does not have many strong competing Japanese restaurants . The bigger names serve low quality fish , small cuts and fish isn't ice cold. Tsunami was perfection. The sakè was hot and great quality , very tasty and the sushi chef for the evening, named Henry prepared a gorgeous and proper presentation of fish . I was so pleased , I spoke with him as I left the restaurant . The atmosphere nice and was updated since my last visit . The restaurant wasn't busy and it was raining outside so it made for a cozy experience . My server Astor was pleasant and very hospitable, making the experience complete.

Amazing! Yummy! Fresh and great prices! The service was great and they accommodated 17 of us without a reservation (sorry) and the quality of service and professionalism was outstanding! Don't be fooled by the ambiance because it looks dark and slightly dive-barish, but it's great for dates, families and groups. Check it out and enjoy! My favorite roll was the barracuda roll, shrimp shumai and the miso soup with extra seaweed.

Came here randomly after being in the area. The sushi was tasty and the service was great, albeit there was not a lot of people dining at 3pm. The Kiss Me app was the BEST thing I had here, so I would highly recommend it if you like sashimi. It had a strong ginger flavor but wasn't overwhelming. I loved the aquarium bar they had, the place was really cool on the inside. The main problem was that the sushi rolls were $10-15. It made me not want to order much It was good sushi though, definitely give it a try. See my Instagram post about this place on @RosiesFoodTour

I wasn't sure what I wanted for dinner so I just drove to downtown Lakeland. I saw Tsunami and thought it sounded good. Beware the door is hard to open. First off they have a very cool, very long bar/aquarium. I sat at the bar. It is a little hard the sit at but it is still really cool. I ordered Pinot Grigio with crab Rangoon. Both were perfect. I opted for sushi but there are many options. I ordered the Hawaiian roll and Philly. Both were exactly what I wanted. Service is quick, friendly and worth returning.

Great Sushi spot in Downtown Lakeland! They have any type of sushi you could possibly want. I wanted to try the hibachi and I was not disappointed. Their white sauce is so delicious. It was a ton of food so I have left overs too. The kids PB&J sushi was so cute for my little one, she thought she was eating just like mommy and daddy. We even took some extra rolls to go and the presentation was still beautiful. The restaurant has the worlds largest aquarium bar which is super cool. It's a nice casual spot and they have a great cocktail selection. It can take a little while as right now they are clearly short staffed like everyone but it is totally worth any wait.

Second time here and let me tell you, Sushi Masa delivers!…read more First, the ambience is very kitschy in a good way. There's Kimonos for you to try on, they showcase their ramune selection. Menu is very Japanese while connecting to its American audience. The vibe has elements of Japanese culture tied into the decor and design, but music was all American top 40 (I did hear a couple of country hits too so they appeal to all of Polk County). Service both times was absolutely excellent. The servers and runners are beyond busy, but both times servers asked multiple times (it seemed as much as possible) for extra orders etc. my drink was refilled before it was finished. Plates taken away very quickly. Well oiled machine. Good times I think vary between types/categories of food, so just be patient. You might get a roll before an appetizer for AYCE, but that's ok with me. Never complaining with sushi coming out fast and fresh. Now the food. Both times I've gone for the AYCE option. It's totally worth it if you like to get a lot of different types of things or multiple rolls. My mom is NOT a sushi person and she said she loves this place. Just to give you an idea of how good the food is. She will only eat the cooked sushi. Her favorite roll so far is the Yummy Roll. Very tasty in my book too. She got the Little Tokyo Roll, but said it was bland compared to the Yummy Roll. Guess the Yummy Roll was just too Yummy LOL! Age Tofu is definitely a more Americanized version. I like the traditional style so I was not into this one as much. Top appetizer is hands down the Takoyaki. Again, this is elderly approved as my mom loved this appetizer. She also liked the dumplings and Kani salad. The fried rice was like hibachi style, so if you like that kind of rice then you'll enjoy this one. I also enjoyed the double crunchy roll. Sashimi was great and very fresh. They bring it out on ice too, so if you are protein aware/carb conscious, you can fill up on just the sashimi. Ice cream is what we had for dessert. Green Tea is the standard matcha ice cream. Very delicious. The strawberry flavor was also very good; I could feel the little seeds/strawberry bits. Overall, this is probably the best sushi place I've tried so far in Lakeland. I would go even just to have a roll. Obviously AYCE is fun, but having the option to just à la carte is nice. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place out if you haven't, especially if you like sushi.

Drinks were refilled quickly, empty plates were cleared right away, and she regularly checked in without being intrusive. The food came out surprisingly fast, especially for an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. Every roll, appetizer, and nigiri arrived fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. We never felt like we were waiting long between orders, which made the entire dining experience even better. It's refreshing to find a place that delivers both quality food and outstanding service. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great all-you-can-eat sushi experience!
