We received the order through DoorDash. Noticed they are using small & cheaper containers. The meat portions are literally half the size they used to be. I called and spoke with the lady who said their lunch portions are small than their dinner portions, however they have cut back on portions because the rising costs of meat. This isn't disclosed or explained prior to ordering. The prices are the same which have always been high but the portion and quality, made it worth it. Now you want to cut back on portions, but continue to charge the same price to cotinue with your same or larger profit margins. Fun, fast, & affordable hibachi and sushi place in a Publix plaza. The lunch specials seem to be tHe most popular featuring Fried rice, vegetables, a choice of protein, and a drink for $7.50. Sushi rolls range from $4 to $8 and seem to be a good value. We had a couple and the fish was fresh and flavorful. Apps are $3-$5 and also a good value. The service is very quick, even on a busy Sunday midday with the after-church rush. Portion sizes are good, prices are great. Note: this isn't a sit-down service place but rather you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Parking is shared with the plaza and can get congested but you can always find a spot. I would definitely recommend this for something quick or great place to pick up ToGo sushi. read more

I wanted to try this place because the reviews are fantastic, but I honestly am not that big of a fan. Ordering was a breeze, their customer service is great, however the food, it's not the best! The prices are pretty good though. $7.49 for a hibachi lunch special with a drink, or you can get two sushi rolls. The food itself gives me "horribly executed mall food" vibes. I've definitely had worse, don't get me wrong, but this isn't going to be my #1 choice for hibachi in Plant City. The hibachi chicken platter was very flavorful, I loved the veggies and rice, but the chicken seemed fake or frozen, and kind of rubbery. So I assume if you get a veggie hibachi, it may be a lot better! My friend and I agreed that if we came back, we'd try the veggie platter next time. The portion size was perfect for those of us who love to eat, but for some people there may have a little bit left over. The sushi rolls were definitely not the best... Again, the shrimp in the "shrimp tempura roll" tasted previously frozen like the SeaPak kind at the grocery store. It wasn't tempura batter at all. The cucumbers had a weird taste, and the sauce that they smothered it in is like overwhelming flavors of sweet soy sauce. The Boston roll was the better of the two, it tasted mostly like lettuce, which I was totally fine with. It still wasn't authentic sushi, but it will cut a craving. If you are craving sushi and want it now, this is the place for you. It isn't quite a sit down restaurant (I.e. with a server) nor a fast food place. Its fairly simple and low key. It's a perfect place for lunch, for a group of people, or an easy family dinner after work where you don't want to wait for a table, and don't need/want a server. People were streaming in and out picking up pickup orders. You order your food at the front counter and then they bring it to you at your table when it's ready. Came by on Saturday for the lunch specials of two sushi rolls ( Spicy tuna and spicy salmon) and hibachi shrimp with vegetables and rice. The sushi came with no sides and the sushi was mushy. We will not get the sushi again. The hibachi shrimp was good, vegetables were very good and the rice had eggs but no other veggies in it. I would get double vegetables next time. We also tried the Rock shrimp with spicy mayo but came with yum yum instead. The shrimp were good. Overall fair, may try specialty rolls if we come back. In fact I've been back a few times since! Each time I ordered the chicken hibachi with a shrimp tempura roll. The hibachi to-go comes in a tray with little separate sections, chicken, vegetables, fried rice, and a salad on the side. The sushi is different depending on who's there. The picture I'm posting, the rice on the sushi didn't seem quite right. In my last visit it was much better. But it was always pretty tasty. I went here today, Friday, with my daughter and 2 of my Granddaughters, 2 and 3 year olds. I ordered 2 steak lunch special and a chicken lunch special. A bowl of clear broth soup with pork dumplings. Everything was great. The rice reminds of Choo Choo train rice it was delicious. The vegetables on the lunch special were zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, and broccoli.
