Aside from having to wait an hour for the train to be repaired the experience was great. Unfortunately my grandson age 7 started to have heat stroke before the ride was fixed. We had to get him in the car and gave him water and we had left when half way back to Phoenix we got the text the train was fixed. We drove back and the ride is great. 10 min. But repair work should be done on the days the train does not run especially when you are taking about hot weather about 110 degrees daily even in the morning. read more

I took my daughters out to enjoy a ride on the Railroad, enjoy the playground and walk around the little lakes. It was a beautiful, clean park. The train ride was really fun and my daughters enjoyed it. It was $4 a person. The playground was nice, they have a splashpad and a small sand area also. We took lovely pictures next to the water and the ducks and bunnies. I would reccomend this place to spend the day with family. read more

What a lovely park. We have family in town that we often visit and I've always driven by this park when I venture out to get my Amped Coffee (yum!), so we decided to come back and bring the little one. We came here on Friday when there were very few people and we really enjoyed ourselves. If you have young kids...hot tip: Stop at the grocery store before coming here and buy a cheap loaf of bread to feed the birds. As a parent, I think that was the highlight of the visit. Feeding the birds: SO MUCH FUN! We brought a $2 loaf of bread and spent some time feeding the birds. My daughter shared with many other kids and boy, it was a joy to see them all light up and enjoy this activity. The birds will flock to you so it's a really fun activity for the kids. The playground: My daughter has not played on a playground since March when covid shut everything down here in San Diego/Carlsbad. So, after wiping down a few bars for her to climb on, she was in heaven climbing and being a kid. Maybe it's COVID fatigue or just the pure joy seen on my 5 year olds face, it was enough for me to be a bit more relaxed. I didn't have enough Clorox wipes to wipe down the entire playground...but sigh...the chances we take. She had fun going up and down that 3 story slide. The Train: For non-residents, we paid $4/each to ride the train and for a parent, I'd say it was ok. My daughter absolutely loved it though. Perhaps it was because they had the sprinklers going and we got really wet. Even though it was chilly, it made it more fun - maybe they should do that regularly. = ) It was a very short ride but a nice little 10-15 minute ride for the kiddos. I can't imagine kids over the age of 7 being thrilled about it but for my 5 year old, she loved it! During COVID, they block off every other seat/train car so you are safely distanced from others. We also brought plenty of wipes to wipe down seats and parts of the carts that we touched, like the railings etc. I did not see them do this in between rides. We didn't spend more than 2 hours here but it was a great way to spend the afternoon. We had so much fun, we returned on Saturday but there were far more people than the day before. We weren't really comfortable with the huge crowds so we just fed the birds and rode the train again. It was still tons of fun for us. At the very least, I'm sure we'll be back to feed the birds when we are back in the area. read more

We really loved and enjoyed our visit! Our kids were so excited to ride the train and wanted to keep getting back on. It's about a 10-15 minute ride. They also sell drinks and snacks which is perfect for the littles! There's so much more you can do here! Your kids can play at the main playground or enjoy one of the smaller ones. There's also many "lakes" where you can feed the ducks so don't forget to bring some food for them. There's plenty of parking but if there's games going on in the fields you probably won't find any parking and will have to park outside of the parks. Bathrooms are also super clean and well maintained! read more

Such a beautiful addition to an already awesome park. Although the train is made for a smaller audience in mind it is fun for everyone to ride. It doesn't go very fast so it's great for the Little's and takes a trip around the entire park. Threat views of the lakes and even has the cutest caboose. You can choose to buy an entire coupon book that can be used any days the park is open or buy individual tickets just for the day. read more

Rode this train last year and again this year during our late October trip to PHX. It passes the test to a dedicated train expert like my 3yo. It passes by a lake, playground and the best part...TUNNEL!! Well worth $4 a ride, they have a bundle deal too so we went with that which is like 4 free rides. read more

We had fun visiting this railroad! 10 minutes ride, lots of seats, very clean & well kept, scenic & peaceful ride. Train runs every half hour when open. Goes through a tunnel too & over a bridge & past lakes with ducks. We bought the 14 ticket deal for $35. There's a huge playground next to it & plenty of parking. Runs W-Sun, closed M/Tu. I have been wanting to take my kids here who love trains for a long time and we were able to go there today. WOW what a disappointment!! My kids have talked all day about how bad it was. First it is double the cost of the one in Scottsdale so for myself and my 2 kids to ride for less than 5 minutes it was $14!!! Yes that is correct. It started raining while we were on it and the train got stuck and couldn't go, no big deal. The conductor got off and told us we would have to walk and they wouldn't be able to finish the ride. I thought we would be offered an apology and either a refund or a voucher for next time. Nope, nothing. I was shocked. Not happy. read more
