I've given this salon so many chances but the services are incredibly inconsistent. Every once in a while it's great, they honor your actual appointment time and you leave with great nails. Most of the time you'll wait and wait and......wait, whether you made an appointment or not. And the quality will vary greatly depending on who did the service. BEING A HIGHLY SKILLED ARTIST MYSELF , I ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT MODERN, UNIQUE, SHOW STOPING, FABULOUS, JAW DROPPING NAILS!!! PERIOD!!! ... I came as a walk-in on 11/19/24 and I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted. (Two top pictures in collage). She seemed confident that she could make it happen and that made me more at ease on trying a new place. As time went on, I notice a few mistakes being made , Like missing a nail that needed to be repaired, and drilling down the nail underneath to remove the dirt and debris stuck between natural nail and original acrylics. She drilled my skin painfully by the cuticle a few times. The layer of acrylic she applied was so thin, that you could still see the old nail that had grown out threw the new acrylic application. I had to politely tell her to fix the mistakes I noticed. That was just the story of the simple fill part. Now came time for the design...before starting the design, she tried to pursued me to just put stickers on my nails... then I started to worry that she couldn't do the design I wanted. After applying the black paint , she made it a straight line (Not blended or fading like the picture) then I told her that the black color was supposed to blend and fade like the picture (like an ombre effect). She tried a couple of times, then proceeded to tell me she didn't have the "tools" to do it. I asked her if any of the other techs had the "tools" , She told me NO they dont have the tools needed either. (keep in mind ,the "tool" is a basic blending brush or sponge every nail salon should have)Then I gave her suggestions on how we could accomplish the look with cotton ball and tweezers or a small sponge or Q-tip to blend it for that effect. She ignored me. I told her that I appreciate her trying but I wasn't satisfied with the look. She just continued to do it "her way" while still ignoring that i didnt like how she was doing it. Then she wasn't even able to do a simple spiral. I was over the whole experience and regretting going there. I then asked her the price while expressing my dissatisfaction, thinking she wouldn't charge for the design (since it wasn't to my liking) NOPE ! She charged me $40 for the plain acrylic fill and $35 for the simple design (which she failed at miserably) . What a rip off!!! If your looking for breathtaking ,phenomenal,beautiful nails... My wife used to love this place - new owners were ok last time but now very subpar. Callouses are still rough immediately after, no more massage included, and $3 surchargeto name just a few of the disappointments:) I used to go very occasionally but needless to say - they have lost our business. A friend and I went to this salon on a whim on a Saturday and it was the only one available nearby. I did dip nails and a basic pedi, she did gel nails and basic pedi. The positive: available at last minute, clean, friendly technicians. The negative.... I had gel on and I had to pay $10 for removal. Then after she asked if I wanted them shorter, it was another $5 to shape them into almond shape (which is what they were before). Then the dip... I have yet ever to go to a salon where dip nails need to be cured with a UV light. My suspicion is that this was gel polish turned dip... Will definitely not go here again. read more

First visit: warmly greeted by the man who was at the front desk. Tech didn't speak to me the whole time but did a decent job. Decided I would try again since I liked that they have online booking and guarantee their work for 2 weeks. I had a gel manicure, no special design or anything. Second visit (Tracy): decided to try a different tech and went all in with a mani and pedi. Tech was ROUGH on my feet. I get pedis regularly, so the roughness was NOT necessary. She then began removing my gel polish while my feet were soaking. No towel on my lap or anything, just polish shavings all over my leg. And then she cut all my nails down to one, very short, length (to match the one broken nail, I suppose) and a square shape without asking. She was moving so quickly, and I didn't pay much attention because I've never had anyone decide for me the length or shape. Although I didn't mind the efficiency of starting my nails during my pedi, I did mind that she just did all this without any regard for me. So my nails chipped after 7 days. I called the salon and was asked to come back to fix them. The tech from the 2nd appointment fixed them but the whole time blamed me that my nails broke (uh, probably the way you sawed off my nails and did that square shape which made my edges weak). I told her my nails are strong and usually grow quickly. I've never had polish chip so quickly, and so many of my nails break (just on the edges, mind you). The whole time she's fussing and telling me I have to get a full set or use powder next time (no and no for me)...and she filed my nails even further, but at least into a rounded shape this time. She fixed the polish, and I was on my way in 15 minutes. But I shouldn't have had to go back in the first place. I had no such trouble the first appointment. I would much rather have someone quiet that gets the job done than all the aggression and disrespect I felt from the 2nd. The place overall was clean although the first time I went it was super noisy as a kid was playing on her iPad super loudly. But when I went back for my repair on a weekday early afternoon, I was the only one there . The man who was the receptionist was the highlight of this place. Super friendly and kind. Helped me find the perfect color at my 2nd visit. They do have a lot of good color choices. I just wish Tracy were nicer. read more

Went in there for my first time and the man was getting extremely frustrated with me, yanking at my hand or grabbing my finger to the point it hurt. One of my nails came off two days later but i dont plan on going back what so ever. the length of my nails is uneven, the color is splotchy and its gell lol i could go on. just overall, i wouldnt recommend read more

This was my go to nail salon for a few years. it recently changed ownership and I wanted to still give it a chance. The gentleman that checked me in was friendly. The tech did a decent job. Shortly after some of the top coat peeled. And the color chipped. In a way dip powder hasn't for me since I started using it years ago. It was just a little so I let it go but then it happened to multiple nails. I maybe should have called sooner it has been a couple weeks. Unfortunately I was told I would have to pay full price again. I am disappointed because I was hoping it would stay my go to. read more

Under new management and they are making huge improvements. Besides a fresh coat of paint (much needed), new pedicure massage chairs will be installed soon. Went here with my mom while I was in from out of town for a manicure and pedicure. The nail technicians are really nice and the facility seems clean, but it seems like they're using really old polish that doesn't dry well and chips easily. After sitting under a hand dryer for half an hour (the longest I've ever sat to dry for a manicure) three of my nails have smudged and four of my mom's nails have smudged within a few hours of leaving. The pedicure has held up fine, but even the color of my polish is slightly off because of the old polish. Really wanted to like this place, but I will not be back. read more

Have been going to this salon for over 10 years. Ever since Jimmy and Nicki purchased it. Had some life changes during the past year and could not keep up with my pedicures as regularly as I had been. Do have problems with ingrown toe nails and Jimmy and Nicki were always great at keeping them in check. Since they sold the salon to the new owner who is a very personable fellow, the technicians have not been as "interested" in keeping the toes cleaned out. I have been 3 times and each time I have gotten a new tech. The first one did a pretty decent job of cleaning up my toes, but the last two, they were in such a hurry to get me in and out of the chair, the pedicure was lacking in customer service. I would at least be able to see name tags on each of the technicians, so I know who to ask for the next time around. Had Lisa last time and she was ok, but didn't clean out the toes as well as they could have been. Never got the name on the first 2, so it is a hit and miss until I learn who the names are. Don't like the salon that is closest to my home, this one is the next closest. Hopefully, I will find a technician that I like. read more

I came to Daisy Nails hoping they would help me fix a bad nail job from another salon. I came on Sunday (needing to leave town the next day!) and the woman said she would fit me in for a new set of acrylics at 4:30. I had no idea they normally close at 3!!! Nikki stayed at work an extra 2 1/2 hours and gave me BEAUTIFUL nails. With all the charm of a hometown nail salon, I'm glad I found Daisy! Prices are not too high but certainly not a bargain. The guy rushed on my feet , and I asked him to file and rescrub my feet because the lady who did it before did a good job he got a attitude told he wasn't going to fix it. Went back and fourth wit me and said ok she can fix for you wait for her instead she calls the police like I was trying to leave which I wasn't I waited until she was done with her customer. They came and saw my feet wasn't properly done. You called the police for what. This was the most racist thing ever. My second visit here. U wasn't about to put gel on my feet and not have been filed and did not scrub my heel correctly. He did a lazy job and this was the worst experience ever. I will never go here again. 50$ for thiss and I had no polish on my toes because I wasn't paying for a poor service. She agreed to fix it but instead called police u reap what u sew trust me. I've been here a handful of times. Overall, I've had a decent experiences at this salon. I felt like the price was steep, considering the effort put into my services. $100 for a gel set, and a gel pedicure seems steep to me. For that I feel the atmosphere could be more enjoyable, and the effort put into my services could be better. It all felt half hearted and rushed. My nails look decent, and are shaped okay. Awful customer service!! I am new to MN & searching for a place to get my nails done. I scheduled a 6:00 appointment & walked in the door at 6:06. The man working was nice & asked me to pick my polish. The woman however was the rudest person I've met since moving. She said "next time call ahead" in a very nasty way....which was confusing bc I had an appt... she then proceeded with loudly scolding me in front of other customers "you said 6 & walked in at 6:10" (which was not accurate). I was dumbfounded- I can't imagine being treated this way by a service provider & if she felt that way she shouldn't have said it the manner she did. She had someone in her chair so clearly I hadn't cost her a customer in the 6 minutes she waited ? I walked out after this encounter bc someone who treats customers like this doesn't deserve my business, time, or money. Had I stayed for my service it would've been my last anyway - the place stunk like suffocating perfume and cleaner and was run down. The finished product was sloppy, products were cheap, the staff stained my clothes with their "luxury oil" (clearly straight mineral oil), and my mom left bleeding because her manicurist cut her nail open! There were other issues but I wouldn't want someome to explain why they gave me a 2 star review! If you want to know, just ask. They get props for their completely regular selection of colors and their generic uncomfortable massaging chairs. read more

Gel mani doesn't hold up well versus when Ruby was the owner. Religiously got my nails done every 2 weeks until Ruby left. Scheduled a nail dip appt only to find out it had been cancelled, not sure by whom. Left a $20 tip from a gel mani/pedi before the scheduling issue...won't ever be back. read more

Did not like my nails at all. The lady did not listen to what I wanted. The shape was all uneven, she cut my nails too short and to top it off I had to ask her to take off the gel polish she put on because the strokes when painting my nails were all off to the side. She didn't seem to think so. I left with my nail unpainted and had to go home and even up my crooked nails. do not recommend this place. read more

I don't know what Jimmy did or didn't do but it wasn't the typical long lasting gel manicure. And I have to agree with what someone said about old nail polish being used. What he used for my pedicure looked to be pretty old and the top coat was not as shiny as it should have been. read more
