I ordered the bomb stuffed burger with fries-was expecting an average boring tasteless burger and fries from a an average small town diner....let me tell you.... They must put crack in it! Absolutely full of flavor I can taste every single ingredient and it all blended together so well! It was like Disney land for my mouth! My husband got a bumpers burger and a side of squash- incredible! Squash was amazing! And my fries absolutely perfectly crispy! Then I tried the buttermilk pie! First time I have ever heard of it! I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap and the person I was with ordered the chicken fried steak; and they have a nice little gift shop area at the front of the store where you first walk in where they allow people to sell stuff on consignment. My wife and I stopped in for dinner after a ride in the country. We had chicken livers and catfish. Both were EXCELLENT! The livers were not dry or overcooked. The catfish was fresh and flaky. The sides (okra, loaded mashed taters) were as good as the entrees. We took home some banana pudding for dessert. Some of the best we've ever had! The menu had a better-than-average selection of goodies, including some hard-to-find items. Good selection of drinks, but no alcohol. This is a home-style family restaurant. They have a small gift shop in the front that sells country-style home decor, spiritually uplifting items, and patriotic gifts. The restaurant (floor, tables, chairs, windows, silverware, lights) is very clean. The servers are a hard-working bunch. They were always on the move. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us often. They are a really friendly bunch too. Bottom line: If you are looking for a nice place to take the family and eat some tasty, wholesome, home-style food you'll not find a better place in a hundred miles! I highly recommend it. Found this diner on our eat way to go camping. Drove up in our RV to a very busy parking lot. Very warm welcome as we walked in. It's a seat yourself type of diner (which are my favorite places to eat). Walked through the small gift shop to get to the dining room. Very friendly staff and some great home country cooking food. I had steak fingers (WOW) that were so good! Grandson had popcorn chicken which he gave a thumbs up, and hubby had a burger that he said was really good. Life's to short so we always have dessert . My husband had Daisy's cater a work event today. They had bacon cheeseburgers with ALL the fixings!! I was super jealous until he brought us two burgers home for dinner!!! To say this is the best burger I've ever eaten is an understatement!!! The patty itself was huge!! Nestled on top of a huge sesame seed bun!! The bacon was cooked to perfection and was still crispy! I drove by this diner for years until this month and called in an order. The lady I spoke with was very helpful and suggested the mushroom Swiss burger and fries. She said it would be 20 minutes being right around lunchtime which was reasonable. I came inside after parking (plenty of parking). It looks a converted store with three separate sections. Everyone was friendly and helpful- the menu looked really good and I found some other things on the menu that looked good. It took awhile to get the food but it was still warm. The burger was very good and the fries were so so. Not a single person wearing a mask so hopefully there is not an outbreak around here because everyone there would have been infected. This place is awesome! Home cooked food like Grandma used to make .Very nice, helpful and friendly waitresses, very clean and just an all around great dining experience with very reasonable prices. The wife and I eat there when we go to Tallent`s sausage factory across the highway when the freezer gets a little low on sausage. And then sometimes we just jump in the truck and drive up there from Willis just to eat lunch. We try to get there around 11:am and try to beat the big lunch crowd.
