Had chilaquiles and a fajita lunch plate. Beans and rice were okay. Chilaquiles sauce was awesome, wish my eggs were actually over easy, but for some reason is always a hit or miss anywhere we go. Fajita plate was okay, but the tortillas need some work. Love my flour tortilla to be soft and fluffy. Great customer service! Also love the music . read more

When I was in Brenham TX.I was going to visit Blue Bell Ice cream.Before eating tons of ice cream, I wanted to eat some Mexican food as an " Appetizer" for my main course, the Blue Bell Ice cream.LOL. I found here on Yelp.This was very small restaurant.When they saw my face, their facial expressions clearly said" Por Que Chino aqui?" (Why a Chinese-Looking Asian here?) LOL. It seemed that this restaurant was some hangout place for local Latinos.I ordered two tacos plate.The tacos were bigger than my hand! It was so tasty. I looked around the restaurant.I can see a Mexican flag.Brenham has a German festival in May.I heard that German immigrants built this city.But the city has a Mexican restaurant. Very torn after visiting. Service was good, big portions with very reasonable prices. I had a veggie burrito and a carnitas taco - both were pretty good. True "Hole in the wall" with limited seating. Chips were stale and the salsa bar is a health hazard waiting to happen. The place overall isn't very clean. Overall, pretty good food for the $$$. Bring a table wipe and some hand sanitizer. They had me at homemade Tortillas! Convinced the hubs to take a day off from work to drive up to Waco Texas to visit Magnolia Market (HGTV Fixer Upper). We love to take the long way around so we drove through my childhood stomping grounds, home of the famous Blue Bell. Not wanting to stop at the regular run of the mill breakfast joint we stumbled across Daisies near Brenham High School. A little skeptical at first with there not being any cars in the lot, we decided to be adventurous and take a chance (it is a Monday after all). Boy am I happy that we did! I felt immediately welcomed. We decided on the pancakes, bacon and hash browns while Eddie got the bacon, eggs, beans and potatoes. One taste of the flour tortillas and I knew they stood by their "everything homemade" slogan. Do yourself a favor and try this little mom and pop restaurant if your in the area (breakfast served all day).
