They had opening so I booked- appt was with the owner, Huma. She was incredible nice and engaged; temperature checked through the entire appt. I will def. go back. Great customer service, knowledgeable, amazing arm/hand/leg/foot massage included. Incredible value even at reg. price (50.00). This is a brand new space and all the 'details' are yet in place but the owner informed me that they will be adding quite a few things in the weeks to come. After quitting my other previous nail salon, I was in search of a new place. I had seen Huma popped out in the neighborhood and decided to give them a try. OMG! Best pedicure ever; I was going to get a reflexiology massage after my pedicure, but once Huma was done with my pedicure massage, I didn't need one. She is awesome. I walked into this salon after reading the reviews regarding eyebrow threading. I'm not sure if the stylist that threaded my eyebrows was a newer employee. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded since I was 16 and I've never seen them chopped up this horribly. They are uneven and she made them very thin when I specifically requested that she just clean them up and verbatim "keep them as thick as possible." She took a longer time threading than I'm used to, and I thought she was being thorough, but I now think it was due to a lack of experience. I would possibly go back to try out a different stylist, but these babies are probably going to take three months to grow back before that is even possible. I'm extremely disappointed. read more

On a whim, I wanted to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time so I "yelped" nearby salons. They accepted walk-ins so I thought I would give it a shot. Complete success on the brows and also snuck in a mani-pedi. The ladies were as nice and professional as could be. Two enthusiastic, perfectly painted thumbs up!!! The 2 sisters who run the salon are very friendly, and the 'no frills' atmosphere is relaxing. I loved the pedicure, which included a 10-15 minute foot massage with scrubs, lotions, and oils. Eyebrow threading was on my to-do list for the day and since I was in the area I figured I'd try my luck doing a Yelp search for a spot instead of jetting across town to my regular spot(s). For $9 and an quick 5 minute job I can't complain TOO much. However, I also can't rave about my experience. It was just fine and very basic. The lady was extremely nice, but as far as the actual threading job there were no frills or extra care taken really. For example, my eyebrows weren't prepped beforehand... meaning, no powder, no brushing, just no prepping. I thought that was very odd. She cleaned up one side. Said check (in the mirror). I looked and it was fine, not great. She did the other side. Said check. I did. Then I was like wait... is that it? I only needed a clean-up, but it basically felt very raw. Does that make sense? Even after I asked for lotion, as the day went on, it sort of felt like I had rug burn on my eyebrows. Anyway, I might be a tad dramatic about that because this place still gets 3-stars BUT I won't be back again. read more

This no-frills salon makes up for any decor lackings with EXCELLENT service. I have now been twice to Huma salon, 1st time for a full leg wax and now again for full leg and the Ayurvedic Herbal Facial. Both times I have received these treatments for 1/2 price. The full leg wax is excellent, my therapist (Nadia) used hot wax and material strips and is clearly experienced and super efficient. The facial though was the real treat. Nadia is a whizz and the herb products are just heavenly. Also my facial included a leg/arm and neck rub. Awesome! read more

Loved the salon! I just moved to the neighborhood and was in search of a new nail place. This has everything I was looking for and more. I was able to make an appointment for the same day I called. Had a coupon for a no-chip manicure and also got a pedicure. The manicurist was super friendly and attentive to the details of my manicure. The pedicure was great, too. Man...this stinks. I've been going here since 2012 - see my first five star review back then! Today I went, a new lady threaded me and was horrible. She ripped skin off of my eyelid and was legitimately hitting my eye with her pinky while she threaded. She was rushing and terrible and did my eyebrows and lip in under two minutes. My right eyebrow doesn't even look like the bottom of it was touched - stray hairs everywhere! I even tipped her (not as much as I normally do because she was borderline abusive) because I didn't notice the stray hairs until I got home. Now my eyebrows look worse than they did when I went in. They also always ask for your punch card when you pay. She didn't, so I didn't get the punch, which is fine because I will not be back. This is a shame, I used to love this place. Their new girls clearly need some customer service skills and basic threading training. Time to find a new salon... read more

This place was great. I got a no-chip manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow threading. Each of them turned out great, no complaints. This is more of a spa instead of a typical nail salon, so be prepared for things to take a bit longer than usual. They give you the full experience. Decent pricing! The salon was clean and all of the workers were really friendly. Malani did my nails and eyebrows, (which I don't trust many with but turned out great) and I think I talked to her more than I talked to anyone who's done my nails in the past combined. I liked how attentive she was as well. I recommend her, she's really sweet. This is probably not the best place for walk-ins, I would recommend making an appointment ahead of time. I walked in and they seemed hesitant because they were so busy but ended up making room. Can't say that will be the same for everyone so call ahead just in case. They also had water for refreshments and a place to hang up your jacket. Great customer service and overall I give it 5 stars. read more
