I was going to this other barbershop which charged an extra $5 to make an appointment, which I always thought was weird, but I never made an appointment I just always walked in yet they would still often charge me the extra $5 and I never understood why. Plus there was always some awkwardness which I didn't understand either, and they never greeted me when I walked in, they would just look at me like I was doing something wrong, it just felt like they didn't want my business. So I finally decided to find a different barber. I looked on Yelp for recommendations and found Dalajas Barber Shop and thought I would give them a try. I called and asked if they could get me in right away and they said yes and to ask for David when I arrived. When I got there, the owner was at the front and gave me a big smile and welcomed me in, asked if I had just called (which I said yes, that's me) and he pointed me to David. David had a great smile and welcomed me into his chair. He was friendly, talkative, and kind, and talented! He asked me all sorts of things and I did him too, we had a great conversation the whole time! We even talked about the situation and awkwardness of the other shop, which was a completely different experience than what I got at Dalajas. David gave me a great cut and offered his business card so I can make future reservation with him, and he joked that there wasn't an additional charge for the reservation lol. As I left, the owner smiled at me again and thanked me for coming in, something that never happened at the other barber. Everyone at Dalajas made me feel welcome, wanted, and appreciated. It was literally the best experience. Today, I just had my hair cut again, by David of course and with a reservation, and it was another great experience and another great cut! I'm so glad I found an amazing barber at an incredible shop! I'll be coming back here for a very long time, I'm sure. This place is amazing and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!! Went in today for a haircut and was able to get blessed by Chuukie. He was very detail orientated when it came to the haircut and his customer service is good we were chopping it up during the haircut and was able to get a haircut and some life lessons lmaoo I'm pleased with my haircut and will be back. Ive been going to this barbershop since maybe 2012, I lived across the street, now I recently moved to La Verne and still make the drive to Inglewood to get my haircut with Helio (Guero), he also cuts my 2 boys' hair as well. He's great with my kids, very patient. I dont go anywhere else. Best barber Ive ever known and great customer service every time. Always on point with his appointment timing. Omg the lady that cut my little boys(2year old) hair did any amazing job . When we entered there was no hello or anything so I was feeling like a little uncomfortable when she told me to sit with him .
