Stop into Dale Bagels yesterday for a quick bite to eat. The bagels are soft & delicious. Not heavy at all.

We Stopped by Dales Bagel for a quick breakfast bagel. I was pleasantly surprised how soft & delicious the bagels are. The Store is narrow and packed with stuff & very crowded.

    Bagel galore!

Bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel with a small coffee for $3.50. This is what keeps me coming back. One of the cheapest places to get that anymore these days in NYC. They also have so many different bagels to pick from (everything, onion, garlic, sesame, egg, pumpernickel, etc.) so that's also a plus. My only complaint is that the bagels are very doughy. They keep sticking to the back of my front teeth with each bite. That just really bugs me. They stick on pretty snugly too. Swishing with water doesn't dislodge them, and I don't want to be sticking my fingers into my mouth during my subway ride. I know eating is not allowed on the train, but that's what true New Yorkers do! Service here is usually pretty quick. It can get pretty busy, but the employees do their best to get everyone in and out in a timely fashion. My biggest gripe with this place is how they have their pastries just sitting out in the open on the counter, mouth level with customers. I pity the people that actually order them and get a whole lot of customer snot and saliva with it. How is the health department ok with this?!

    a package of cheese

I was so disappointed I bought a pre packed American cheese it was 6 months expired and the fresh mozzarella was MESS! Also the store is very dirty. Also awful customer service.

The bagel bins. French Toast bagels were on top, their aroma wafting through the shop.. Delicious! Regret not grabbing one..

Although this is called Dale's Bagels, it is more like a deli, that does bagels.. But they do them well!! The everything bagel I had was just as others described.. Little crusty, chewey, yet not heavy or light.. Perfect.. I added fried eggs and turkey, black pepper to it, and it was delicious..

As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. No good morning no acknowledgement of comprehending what you order they just walk away and start the order. Which is why I double check always. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. They do have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and coffee and tea.

Everything tasted phenomenally good. Miguel had given me samples of some food so I could make a decision about what to purchase. This place is not the cheapest, but you're paying for top quality. Their bagels respect a smaller, traditional size standard that retains a tight, chewy crumb with a glossy, snappy exterior that structurally anchors the fish without collapsing under pressure. The structural integrity of their sandwich is flawless because the fish is hand-sliced by master cutters who understand grain physics. The salmon melts away on the bite at the exact same velocity as the cream cheese and the chewy bagel skin, preventing the interior ingredients from violently squirting out the back of the sandwich. This place is piece of actual New York history that treats engineering and ingredients with respect.
