Great bagel in a no-nonsense deli. Waited in line on a busy morning, then I waited outside while daughter waited inside for our bagels. Both bagels were fresh and delicious. Mine was a simple sesame with cream cheese and daughter got a breakfast egg concoction that looked wonderful. Easily could be a regular spot if only I lived here! read more

Extensive bagel menu with an assortment of bagels and cream cheeses. Staff is very friendly and there are tables outside and JJ Byrne is right across the street as well. There's also a pickup window if you're walking your dog. Decent quality of bagels that are nice and chewy. read more

This place sits on a corner a few blocks from Prospect Park. There is a counter to order at with outdoor seating only. I stopped in on a busy Sunday around lunch. The first question you'll get after ordering any breakfast sandwich on a bagel is "toasted or untoasted." This is generally not an easy question from bagel place to bagel place, but here let me assure you that bagel does not need to be toasted. It has a firm crust with a fluffy chewy interior - just a fantastic bagel. If I find myself in the area again I would absolutely come back. read more

I loved bagel world. The staff were all very polite and made sure I had everything I needed, asked how I take my coffee, and were fast and efficient. I opted to sit inside, which I was pleased to have to option of. It's pretty small so I'd understand if they didn't want to squeeze in tables, but I enjoyed having a slow morning and eating my breakfast while doing the NYT mini. I got to see a lot of dogs stroll by too because of the outdoor ordering window, which is a lovely feature. Overall, great find! read more

We loved this place so much that we had to stop by both mornings while we visited. They don't have a huge selection of bagel flavors, but the ones they do have are delicious. I tried cinnamon raisin and blueberry, both with the cinnamon walnut cream cheese and it was amazing. I also got a Green Man smoothie that was great. I wanted to try the pastries and muffins so badly but didn't get the chance. Service was always very fast and friendly, even on a busy Saturday morning. read more

Very old school - cute and huge menu! The service was great - friendly and helpful. Only has 3 indoor tables but also several outside. The bagels are hard on the outside, soft inside. I got a hot out of the oven pumpernickel with vegan tofu spread with veggies and an awesome lemon poppy seed muffin. My friend had the Big Fat Daddy and it was loaded! All in all, worth the trip for a traditional NY bagel experience! Extra points for the Leonard Cohen type music! read more

My order was so ludicrously messed up that the sad, misshapen, hard-as-a-rock bagels almost seem beside the point. I ordered a coffee smoothie, which is supposed to be composed of espresso, banana, oat milk, and vanilla syrup, and costs $8. I received instead a small, bitter, burnt, black hot coffee, which costs $2.65, and which I would neve have ordered in a million years. Maybe they didn't feel like using the blender. I also appear to have received pastrami lox (smoked and spiced like the deli meat) instead of gravlax (salt cured). Finally, I received exaclty zero of the bagels I ordered (two of which were at a premium price) and instead what appeared to be the leftover rejects of the day. Bagels that start out hard as a rock aren't even good for freezing. I would expect such a sad state of bagel affairs outside the city but not even in NJ. read more

Nice bagels in a friendly setting! The employees seemed to know a bunch of regulars by name on the morning I came in, creating a warm and happy vibe. I lived in New York for seven years so I always make sure I get at least one bagel while I'm visiting. I checked out Bagel World this morning. They had more than one kind of tofu cream cheese (major plus) and as I was checking out, I noticed they had a banana latte (??) on their menu. Decided to try it and it's delicious. read more

I got the mamacita breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and it's so freaking good I had to leave a review. The flavors are perfectly calibrated with umami from the bacon, salty and a tiny bit of spice from the sriracha. So good! read more

Do not understand the good reviews here. Bagels are underwhelming compared to others in the area. Also, if you have the audacity to charge three dollars extra for turkey bacon instead of regular bacon, maybe use a decent turkey bacon rather than that cheap Oscar Meyer bs. read more

We weren't impressed with the food or service. Asked for our bagels to be extra toasted, but they were burnt. Not enough cream cheese in my opinion. Charged $2 for a cup of ice. Egg salad was fresh hence two stars. read more

Great place! You can get yr bagels or yr sandwiches. N sit across the street in the park n enjoy the neighborhood. I like the lox sandwiches. Always busy w long lines. Coffee is good. Love the half price bagels (after 3pm? I think. ) I like to get a bag of it n freeze it. Then pop it in the toaster n tastes fresh as ever. read more

Bagels are so freakin fresh! So many options you can basically close your eyes and think of what you want and they can do it. Came out super fast - hot, delicious and loaded. Staff was awesome - nice and helpful. Place was very well kept. Also really liked the vibe- was like low key, no frills. Everything you want out of a bagel shop. 10/10! I'll be back for sure and would recommend to any one. 4.2 stars (the current rating) doesn't seem right - I would say 4.8 at least would be more fitting read more

Perfect bite :) it's a little corner spot by Washington Park, so it's convenient, but it was also a great place to stop by. I had the Hungry Lady (added their herb cream cheese) and it was sooo yummy! Bagel was toasted; and even after letting the sandwich sit, the bagel was still soft and toasty. Sausage on the sandwich had a slight kick, which I really enjoyed! They have a bunch of bagel and cream cheese options. SERVICE WAS THE BEST! They're on it, and friendly as can be! Crowded so it's best to come early! But I don't blame them for being crowded because they have the best bagels AND their ambiance is so cute. There's no seating area by the way, but they're across the street from a park. Also I think they're obsessed with Batman, they had a lot of Batman decor haha. They have an awesome menu with unique names for all of their sandwiches. My boyfriend and I got their Healthy Lox and it was bangin. Will be back to try their other sandwiches/food soon. read more

Well it's safe to say I have my new bagel spot. Moving to a new neighborhood comes with a lot of excitement but also brings some anxiety..will I find all my new favorite spots? Will it be better than what we had in our old neighborhood? For me, when it came to bagel world the answer was yes and YES!! Bagels are perfect, fluffy, soft, not too chewy. Omg this place was FANTASTIC! They have a WIDE variety of options for bagels, sandwiches, hot meals, pastries, juices, coffee, etc! Born and raised in Brooklyn and moving 8 hours away really makes you miss the little things, like a letmegetabagelwithextracreamcheese and a baconeggandcheeseonaroll. Yes, I ordered both and they were absolutely delicious. The cashier's got super busy and when I tried asking for one more item, the cashier apologized and said he had to get the guy behind me (who I didn't see). He apologized for this and gave me an extra pastry which was totally unnecessary as it was me who didn't see the customer ahead of me. But their customer service level is what sealed the deal. I will be heading back here for breakfast any chance I get when I am back in Brooklyn. Also, the park is right across the street so order your food, pick a bench at the park, and enjoy! read more

So good. I'm a jersey girl living in Maine. The bagel scene here is bleak, so when I was in New York for a quick work trip I knew I had to seek out a bagel. An egg bagel, specifically. Went over to Bagel World. Had to wait a few minutes for the egg bagels to come out of the oven around 7am but completely worth the wait. Crisp outside with that great dry sticky feeling. Soft inside. In my attempt to find the best bagel in the neighborhood, I saw this place. Went on a Sunday morning and the service was fast. They had a limited selection of bagels with the classics and a bunch of different flavors for their cream cheese. I got the everything bagel. It was doughy and lacking flavor. Not sure if I would come back, but it's a good place if you are in a rush. read more

Saved us again. I'm pregnant and craved a hot pastrami sandwich. I mistakenly went to a deli close by and they overcharged us for a small sliver of meat in eh ok bread. I wanted to cry. My husband went back and got my money back. Walked over to Bagel World and got more meat in bread that soaked up the flavor quite nicely. They even threw in a free banana not knowing what we went through minutes before at the other restaurant. This is not the first time Bagel World saved us. They provided catering last minute for my daughter's birthday brunch party when a caterer cancelled on us two days before the event. I feel like a bad customer going anywhere else other than bagel world that treats us so well. Lesson learned. read more

The bagel was the perfect texture and the amount of cream cheese was spot on. The scallions were fragrant and I would not change a thing about the entire thing. Would definitely come back!
