The rudest and worst waist of time in my life. I have never had a service manager, (Luke) yell at me and then hang up! My car was at their dealership for 40 days! They said they did all kinds of things that were not covered under warranty, but did not take any steps to diagnose the actual issue that was under warranty. Then refused to fix the issue Altogether. Said they changed the oil, but based on the date we put on the filter with a sharpie, they did not. Don't buy anything here, they wont honor any warranty or agreement And will lie about what they said they did and why they did it. Some people are meant for service. Luke is not that man, nor is he man enough to talk to a seasoned mechanic to discuss why his service team did not inspect items that would lead to a proper diagnosis of the complaint. Buyer beware! I had a very bad experience with this dishonest and unethical dealer. I bought a 2025 Genesis from them and was told that it was in perfect condition. It was delivered to me as I live in another state, and we saw immediately that it was damaged. I took it to my dealership and was told it would cost $6000 to repair! At first, the sales manager, Justin, said it was not their problem but after multiple conversations, he agreed to pay $1000 of the repair bill. I wanted to share the fantastic experience I had with Steve White Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat near Hickory, NC and salesperson Ruben. We needed a car for our daughter, who is away in college. We needed it to be something dependable and fairly priced. I was looking for Honda CR-Vs and shopping around. After being treated pretty poorly at a local dealership we had used for a new car purchase a few years ago, I decided to take my money elsewhere. I found a car that fit the needs at Steve White and called them up. I was a little leery of buying over the phone, but due to work and the dealership being an hour away, but i wanted to see how it went. Spoke to Ruben, and he was excellent to deal with! He was very communicative, answered all my questions, and was able to work with me to get the deal done. I just picked up the car today, and it was spotless (even the engine was clean). Everything looked like a new car. For a 2019 Honda, it looked factory-new. The paperwork was handled professionally by Tony the manager. Everything was explained, and all questions were answered before signing on the dotted line. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is not to have to go through the same, tired negotiation hamster wheel. I was treated as more than just an EOM sales quota statistic, and I would absolutely do business here again. I am approaching 60 and have bought numerous cars over the years. Steve White Motors in Newton, NC, appears to prioritize financial gain over customer satisfaction or quality vehicle care. My experience included multiple visits for the same unresolved issue with my Jeep, each time incurring high charges, primarily for labor, without the problem being adequately fixed. The longer they kept vehicle the more new repairs developed and the higher the amount of repair costs went, reaching nearly $7k. When I raised my concerns with the service manager, who was reportedly the superior of the manager I was already dealing with, their response was highly unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of addressing my issues, they focused on irrelevant details such as providing a loaner vehicle, the mileage on my car, and the fact that I didn't have an initial appointment scheduled--something that apparently delays service by several months. The loaner vehicle wasn't even addressed until my third visit and was framed in a way that implied I should feel more grateful for what the establishment had done for me. My vehicle was kept for over two and a half months without resolution all while I was given conflicting information about delays due to parts on backorder or mechanics being backed up, and their "attempts" to get assistance for the repairs. Updates about my vehicle's status were only provided when I actively and assertively reached out to them, never vice versa. Following the 2 and a half months and the indication of almost $7 in repairs (none of which had still been completed over all that time), I had my vehicle evaluated by another mechanic, who found none of the alleged issues claimed by Steve White Motors. This experience reflects a pattern of poor communication, questionable ethical practices, and inadequate service. Customers should not bear financial responsibility for a service provider's failure to resolve the initial concerns. This situation raises serious concerns about the dealership's integrity and customer care standards as this establishment. It would be a disservice for me to recommend this establishment to anyone at this time, as I believe it does not currently meet the standards or expectations that one might reasonably have for their car care services. read more

I live in Atlanta and when I found the Jeep online, I did not think it would be possible to buy online and have it delivered. However, working with Michelle was more than I could have wished for. She was very responsive to my questions, concerns and quickly let me know they offered free delivery. This meant I would not have to drive 300 miles to pick up my Jeep. I made an offer and she did not hesitate and accepted. A few days later, two gentleman delivered my vehicle. They allowed me the time to look it over, drive a bit and make notes of any issues I might have had. Went with the recommendation on challenger forumz to purchase from SWM even though I'm in Florida. Purchase went through ok, but at first Eric stated they don't deliver used cars to Florida. Luke the manger later corrected the matter and I got the delivery and the car was in good shape. I had a 30 day temp tag and would call weekly to get an update on my registration as I was transferring tags. Eric kept insisting that Florida DMV needed more insurance information, which I supplied. As we got closer to my expiration date I called again and again was asked for more insurance info. I finally got fed up and got through to Florida DMV and they told me my initial insurance info was fine . SWM's never sent my paperwork in. I am now 14 days past expiration on dead tags and SEM will not issue me a new temp tag. I got through a second time to my DMV and I should have my registration in 3 days. SWM's dropped the ball and caused me a lot of aggravation. No follow up, no calls, emails or any kind of apology unless I initiated it. Out of state buyer beware. read more

I found a 2016 Mazda Miata that Steve White Motors was selling online that seemed like a good deal, even though it was across the state. After some negotiation and being assured that the vehicle was in great condition and had a clean history, I traveled across the state to pick it up. When I arrived, I found obvious evidence that the vehicle had been in a prior accident. Namely, the paint on the front bumper clearly did not match the rest of the vehicle, and was missing its VIN plate. The sales rep and management at Steve White Motors feigned ignorance, but eventually called the previous owner of the vehicle who confirmed that the vehicle had been in an accident that was not reported to the DMV, and hence did not show up on the Carfax. The sales manager seemed unsurprised by this, and barely offered any reduction in price on the vehicle as a result of it having been in an undisclosed accident. I ended up walking away from the deal, with the whole ordeal costing me an entire day and several hundred dollars in travel expenses. The fine people at this dealership wouldn't even give me a ride back to the airport. Given how obvious the poor paint matching was, I find it impossible to believe that management at Steve White motors was unaware of the damage. They simply thought I wouldn't notice. It's almost worse if they were unaware, as it shows a complete lack of knowledge and attention to detail. Anyways, I hope no one else gets burned by this 2016 Miata. The VIN is JM1NDAC73G0110513. I originally took in my 2012 Chrysler 200 S convertible on 03/26/22 to Steve White Motors for repairs because that is were I bought it at. The write up tech Clay didn't even have my appointment in for it. But his boss Luke V knew I was coming to get my dash cluster replaced for free. I was told that part was in since late Janurary BUT was never communicated to me. I did tell them to take your time on repairs BUT after 2 weeks with NO response to 6 phone calls and several emails later Clay called me. They haven't even started on my car yet. Clay stated they didn't have enough staff to work on my car. First off I was NEVER told of this when I dropped off my car. Then after 2 months and 26 phone calls with NO ANSWER and 20+ emails I picked up my car 05/21/22. Clay had sent me an invoice on work that was done and I replied back stating that when I come in there are questions that needed answered. Clay knew I was coming in advance because I sent him an email days before hand. When I got there he was not in and the ONLY write up tech Brooke could NOT answer any of my questions. I was very upset on this. I could NOT get any answers BUT they wanted my monies for what repairs they did do (Blower for heat and A/C, Master door lock and supposed hooking a connection back up to use open/close my top). They charged me fees that were NOT on it stated in an email sent by Clay. Items that were not fixed or they refused to fix them were (Driver's Seat cushion to frame, Driver's door glass track, Top liner on the inside and dash insulation coming out at windshield). They told me to take my car to a body shop or upholstery shop. But they did look at the Driver's seat and Top liner a year earlier of which "It was adjusted" not fixed. When I left the supposed new "Gauge Cluster" had 79,499 miles on it. I went back in to complain again to Brooke with another "I don't know" answer. I was NEVER told that the gauge cluster would have 4,000 miles less on it after I took it in. What if I have 100,000+ on it before?? Would it show up on Carfax when I trade or sell it out right because the gauge cluster was replaced?? NOBODY knows. Telling me by Luke V that I would have to pay for the other items and then NOT fix them is a slap in my face. I bought 2 cars from this dealership used and new (2021 Chrysler 300 S). And this is how they treat their customers. My car was even covered with thick dirt bird poop etc. and never put it through their car wash. Avoid them. read more

My 2018 Wrangler is my second Jeep and I could not be more pleased. Kyle was extremely helpful, dependable, knowledgeable, and prompt with all requests and requirements. As an out-of-state purchaser (Northeast Florida) I initially had doubts, all doubt was quickly put to rest. My local Jeep dealers simply did not have the options I wanted on their lot, so a factory purchase was no only option. Once I had the car configured, Kyle and Steve White beat the lowest local price by $1200.00. The only negative thing I will mention is that the registration and title seemed to take 28 days of the 30 day temp tag. However that process was completed without any issues. Just had the worst experience with them. They actually did not honor the factory warranty on our 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The factory warranty is bumper to bumper, 36,000 miles or 3 years. We were 23 months and 20,000 miles into it. The tailgate "stop" which limits how far the tailgate opens failed. My wife opened the tailgate on a SLIGHT hill, and the weight of the door (which has a HUGE factory spare tire on it) opened the tailgate all the way, and kept it going. They said that it wasn't a covered part, even though per the written warranty, all parts are covered except the tires. We had to pay over $700 in repair bills for a poorly designed hinge/stop mechanism on a 2 year old $32k vehicle, and it could fail again. Again, this should have been factory warranty work, but they said it wasn't a covered part, and wouldn't give us the reason in writing. I would not recommend any car dealer that doesn't live up to the factory warranty on their vehicles. I buy a new car at least partially so that I don't have to worry about it failing, because I expect the dealer to handle this. read more

My wife and I just purchased a 2003 Dodge 3500 Truck from Steve White Motors. Our salesperson was Eric Corpening and he did a fantastic job for us. He immediately followed up on any and all questions we had. We did about 95% over the phone and internet. We live an hour and 40 minutes away from the Dealership and this made the process easy on us including my trade in. He put numbers together for us that worked and when we arrived at the dealership to make our trade the truck was ready for us and so was all paperwork. A very quick and easy process. Also after we got home we realized in looking at the paperwork that we needed the truck tagged for a larger weight so we called Eric and he immediately talked to his finance manager who said that was his mistake and they would take care of the difference in price and not charge us any more. Wow! Called in regarding a Jeep my wife was interested in. From the start Chris was kinda of direct and dry. I could tell instantly that i would not be working with him any further but i figured i would get some info on the car. Im in a great mood easy going guy. I asked him about the Jeep and a trade in i have. He asked me how many miles it had so i walked to the garage. As I'm getting in the car i asked him how life was treating him and how his day was trying to be friendly and cheer him up a bit. He didn't answer me. I said I'm guessing by no answer it hasn't been a good one. He said its 7:35 we close at 7:30 what is your mileage? I asked him respectfully if i should call back tomorrow then? I said man whats wrong with you? You having a bad day or something? He said its after 7:30 and I'm trying to work a deal but you wont give me your miles. I told him I wasn't giving him my mileage and to let me speak to another salesman. He said they were closed so i said i will just call back tomorrow then because I'm not working with you. He hung up on me. Talk about friendly and customer service. My wife and I have purchased many cars through the years and have never had any issues until Chris. After reading the reviews its clear I'm not the first to have these issues either. You should treat your customers with respect and a good attitude. Buying a car is an experience for the buyer. It doesn't matter if its 7:35 or not. If you answer that phone you should be 100% polite to your customer. Especially one like myself who was 100% respectful to you. Baught a 2017 Charger Scat Pack 392 from them last week, and that is how new car buying experience should be (thanks Chris!). I live in Northern Virginia and had looked at 4 local dealerships before finding these guys on Autotrader. They gave me the best deal imaginable on this car without me even asking, and explained honestly how they were able to price so competitively. Transaction over the phone took 15 minutes to agree on a price, explain the next steps and reserve the car. Financing and lease options took just one day to complete, and they were all great and straight forward. A professional and respectable notary was at my doorstep the following day to get the paperwork signed. Now here is the kicker, car was in my garage the day after!! The whole thing took 4 days to be done with less than 1 hour of my time invested, and did I mention, a great deal! Will definitely do business with them again. The one thing I regret is wasting days and hours in our local dealerships playing mind games and trying to negotiate a barely reasonable deal. read more

Over the past couple of years, I have made several purchases through their parts department on Ebay and Amazon. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM STEVE WHITE MOTORS AGAIN! My last purchase was 09/15 for (4) replacement rims. After I placed my order online, I sent them an email requesting extra packaging be used to prevent damage during shipment. Not only did they ignore my request, but the rims arrived damaged and scratched. When I inquired about them sending a replacement set, I then received an email from their Luke Vigneault-VP of Fixed Operations whereby Mr. Vigneault stated that they would not supply replacement rims and they never wanted to do business with me again. I had to send the defective rims back to them at my expense. They finally did reimburse me for the return shipping charges, but I had to fight to get that money back. A while back I purchased a fuel pump from them. It also was inadequately packed and arrived broken. I had to end up purchasing through my local dealership a new fuel pump at full price.
