Both were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure she felt comfortable and confident with her decision. As a parent, I really appreciated how supportive and respectful they were...no pressure, just great service. Highly recommend this dealership, and definitely ask for Vince and Art if you're looking for a smooth car-buying experience.

While they had it they did a multipoint inspection on it and Surprise, Surprise, Surprise as Gomer Pyle would say, found multiple things "wrong" with it to the tune of $922 in parts and labor including telling us the transmission fluid was brown and needed servicing. My wife said "Really? My husband just serviced the transmission less than a month ago" and at that point the service advisor started back peddling saying maybe it just looked that way because of the lighting! LMFAO!! I knew it was coming, as soon as we turned them down for the repairs, the high-pressure sales pitch started. Nothing will turn me off faster or lose my business quicker than someone pressuring me to buy something once I have already told them NO! Besides everything on the list IF it needed to be done I or my mechanic could have done it for a fraction of the price that Hendrick Honda wanted to charge to do it. I pulled the transmission dipstick after we got home and that was the reddest "brown" transmission fluid I have ever seen!! These dealerships will flat out lie to your face to try and make a buck. I may have been born at night, but not last night! Two stars only because the service advisor did reset our radio theft security code and set the time without charging us which shocked the hell out of me!

Nathaniel is an honest man with good candor and integrity. His pragmatic approach allows very little room for biased decisions when dealing with complex situations. Throughout my service experience, he was very informative (keeping me updated and in the loop) responsive, and punctual. I felt heard, understood, and like a part of his Toyota family! I have been a proud Toyota owner for almost 20 years now; I've visited many other Toyota dealerships from Statesville to Charlotte. However, for the past 4 years, Mike Johnson has exceeded my expectations! The staff are always kind, and the waiting area is always clean and feels very warm and inviting. The environment makes the wait not feel daunting. Taking your car in for service can be a bit stressful at times, especially when the technicians come to you at every visit with a long list of needed services, with a few that you kindly decline, only to have them come back a second time with an additional service that you need, causing you to feel pressured and overwhelmed. I have never felt that way at Mike Johnson Toyota, I don't feel like I'm being bamboozled, I know that I can trust that if my tech. I will continue to return for services and will continue referring family and friends for any auto needs! A huge thanks to Andy, Nathaniel, and all staff at Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota, for always going above and beyond to make their customers feel appreciated!

That is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the quality and inspection of the vehicles they sell. A major component like a transmission does not just fail overnight without warning. This makes me question whether the dealership knew about the issue or failed to properly inspect the vehicle before selling it. Now I'm stuck facing thousands of dollars in repairs on a truck I just bought. I trusted this dealership and feel completely let down. Spending this much money, only to have the vehicle become unreliable almost immediately, has been a terrible and stressful experience. I strongly encourage anyone considering buying from here to be extremely cautious and have any vehicle independently inspected before purchasing.

From my research they have the best out the door price with a 299.99 Doc fee. I had found these fees to be in excess of 800.00. So you have to know what to add for your out the door price at any dealer. In the first week I found some mechanical issues that I wanted addressed. The service department was first rate in communications and addressing my major issues at no charge. I would have given 5 stars but for one practice I disagree with and am having to handle myself. If a remote (key fob) was lost by the previous owner it becomes your loss. They will provide one key fob and one extra key. All new cars come standard with two fobs and in the case of the truck it is the only way to use remote start. It will most likely cost in the range of 200.00 to get a remote for my wife. This practice puzzles me because they addressed much larger problems with a smile. Ask before you sign the papers how many key fobs the vehicle has because it may have only one. I hope they change this practice, sometimes it's the small things that could easily be addressed that bother you. I would buy another Car at Carmax in Hickory.

Funny, Hickory Toyota had no problem buying my car and changing the title using the same exact documents I presented to Carmax. Do not go to Carmax, go to Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota (a Carmax participant) first and save yourself time and frustration. They offer the same if not better price for your vehicle.
