bought tires and 24 hours later, apparantly picked up a nail. they would not do anything about. peerless, bargain barn, tma, speed center/ tyrell tires, everywhere has a warranty with their tires. either poor salesmanship that wouldn't offer it or poor company standards. we always purchased our tires here when it was dales tires for all of our company vehicles. never had an issue! they were a company with integrity. pomp's can suck it!!! read more

I requested 4 tires to be replaced on my Class C Winnebago while in Rapid City South Dakota. I am pleased with the promptness of service, ordering of tires needed, help as I decided which tires to use. However. The service record says they torqued the lug nuts 25 pounds over the correct torque spec. Air pressure in the front tires is supposed to be 65 pounds per square inch. I checked tire pressures and found that the front tires were at 80 pounds. The front tires were correctly installed on the rear axle but not brought up to the correct tire pressure. The hub cap holding nuts are so tight that the Winnebago hub cap removal tool cannot take the nuts loose. The service record indicates they charged more than $60 to torque the lug nuts (to the wrong value). I would trust them again, but definitely verify their service. At this point I need help doing what it says on the bottom of the Service record, "Driver must confirm lug nuts remain torqued to specs after 50-100 miles." because they've made it impossible for me to remove the hub caps with only the Winnebago hubcap tool. read more

Wonderful service with wonderful people! They were very easy to work with and went above and beyond what was expected. I am a studio engineer for SDPB, and our broadcast trailer is much heavier than it looks and eats tires very quickly. While on-site for the State Boys' Basketball Tournament broadcast, we noticed that the tires were showing signs that they may be at risk of not making it back to Vermillion. Worst yet, the trailer would have to be headed back on a Sunday, and by the time I was able to reach out to Pomp's, it was Thursday afternoon. They sent a technician on Friday morning to survey the tires, and by Friday afternoon, they had replaced all four tires on our 11-ton trailer. I forgot to mention that they were able to do this on-site in the Summit Arena at The Monument while the trailer was connected to cameras, network, and audio while we were on the air broadcasting the afternoon session. They also replaced the valves as the old ones were showing signs of failure and put pass-through caps on, which wasn't requested, but a little something that shows they are willing to do everything needed even if it wasn't specifically asked for. The only problem is that they aren't located near Vermillion, so we will have to make sure that our tire replacements happen during a time that we have events in Rapid City. Thank you, Pomp's! I was on a road trip with a friend and our tire pressure light kept coming on. We typed in a tire place and yelp and this one was close by. We walked in and someone came out right away to check our tire pressure. The guy was very friendly and helpful and we ended up having the perfect amount of tire pressure. I needed to replace four tires on my 2011 Chevy Colorado and spent about a month visiting various places for options, price checks, etc. The other sites included Sears, Tires Plus, Firestone, TMA, and a few more small outlets. By far, Dale's Tire was the top business for my situation and exceeded my expectations. The conversation about tires was appropriate, and the desk clerk (Dale) provided me with multiple options, prices, specs, etc. After a week of consideration, I called Dale to set up an appointment. Arrived to find that the shop staff is just as friendly as the front desk staff ... and, everyone walking to and from their work sites came across just as pleasant. The entire experience took less than 45 minutes. And, I was invited back toward the end of the day (after running multiple errands) to have the tires checked for security. To be openly honest, I have experienced issues with Sears in the past ... as the staff did not seem to care, and the prices were always higher than anywhere else. Other sites normally do not even ask any questions ... they just assume a certain tire. And, I will never go back to TMA, as the staff was extremely unfriendly ... I would never trust them to take care of my wife and kids while I'm on detail. As for Dale's Tire, their professionalism was top-notch, and I sincerely appreciated the hassle-free conversations, prices, etc. Most important, if I was ever gone, I would trust this crew with my family. read more

Don't let the front of the shop fool you. This is a first class major operation. We had a leak in a tire that we took to another tire shop. While they identified the issue they told us they "did not feel comfortable trying to repair the tire" and recommended Dale's. As we were traveling we showed up at Dale's when they opened on Monday morning. We received immediate service. 30 minutes later we were on the road. If you are in the Rapid City area and need any tire sales or service do yourself a favor and go straight to Dale's. read more

Ladies, if you have a small job such as a tire fix, Dales may not be the place to go. They fixed my tire, but would not put it back on and put the spare back up under the truck. I had to go to another tire place and pay more money to get that done. I guess my small problems don't rate with them. read more

We blew a tire and needed a spare for our pop up camper on our way to the Black Hills. A camper repair company referred us to Dale's. Dave took my call and was incredibly helpful. They had my tire ready when we arrived, and when they went to install it on the camper, they checked the other tires and discovered the my other old tire was disintegrating. 15 minutes later, I had another new tire installed and was on my way. Buyer beware if you have a repair. After being run around town for a month with bad wheel, I ended up going to a different shop and getting the problem fixed which added extra cost to replace a wheel that they had me pay to have fixed that wasn't any good in the first place. read more
