bought tires and 24 hours later, apparantly picked up a nail. they would not do anything about…read more peerless, bargain barn, tma, speed center/ tyrell tires, everywhere has a warranty with their tires. either poor salesmanship that wouldn't offer it or poor company standards. we always purchased our tires here when it was dales tires for all of our company vehicles. never had an issue! they were a company with integrity. pomp's can suck it!!!

I requested 4 tires to be replaced on my Class C Winnebago while in Rapid City South Dakota…read more I am pleased with the promptness of service, ordering of tires needed, help as I decided which tires to use. However. The service record says they torqued the lug nuts 25 pounds over the correct torque spec. Air pressure in the front tires is supposed to be 65 pounds per square inch. I checked tire pressures and found that the front tires were at 80 pounds. The front tires were correctly installed on the rear axle but not brought up to the correct tire pressure. The hub cap holding nuts are so tight that the Winnebago hub cap removal tool cannot take the nuts loose. The service record indicates they charged more than $60 to torque the lug nuts (to the wrong value). I would trust them again, but definitely verify their service. At this point I need help doing what it says on the bottom of the Service record, "Driver must confirm lug nuts remain torqued to specs after 50-100 miles." because they've made it impossible for me to remove the hub caps with only the Winnebago hubcap tool.

Southbound and down on our recent cross-country road trip, I blew a tire on our pop-up camper…read moretrailer in the middle of nowhere. Not the first time that has happened, and not the last... But it's always an inconvenience, and add a small layer of worry once you get a look at the spare-- generally, it is the best of the tires you were going to get rid of the last time you got tires. In my case, it was pretty bald... nothing like being 400 miles from your destination, 1,500 miles from home, and not much between you and the next real city but a lot of two-lane highway as the sun is going down. Luck (and slower speeds) worked for us, and we made it to town. The next morning, I found Great Western Tire just down the street from a favorite outdoor chain store I try to visit as often as I can, parked my truck and trailer and walked inside. After admitting to a nice guy named Derek that I wasn't sure I was in the right place, I told him my predicament. With a 15 year old trailer, the 13" tire size can be tough to find at home... not here. Despite this place being a commercial tire joint specializing in big truck tires and retreading service, Derek quoted me a fair price and said he could have it ready in about an hour as they were a little backed up today. I ended up buying two tires, and left the trailer while we took the kiddos to Mt Rushmore. I got a call an hour later as promised-- trailer was ready to keep on keeping on. The new tires were placed on the main wheels, and the "good" tire was reinstalled on the spare rim, and placed back in the rear of the trailer. Now if I could just slow down with that 80 mph Wyoming speed limit... Nobody likes to be stuck away from home with auto repair or tire issues-- this place was no frills, no fuss, fair, efficient, and affordable. Worth a phone call if you're in a jam. Mind you, there isn't a college kid working the front end offering you fresh coffee like a retail tire store-- these are working folks who know you aren't here for a haircut-- you're here to buy tires and get on with your life. Thanks to Derek and the Great Western Tire folks for getting us back in the road fast with fresh tires and great service.
