No one measures up to Simin -- they're either not properly equipped, don't know what they're doing, or are outrageously priced. Simin offers quality and value. She's experienced and has been operating from the same location in Westwood for decades. She uses only high quality fabric strips and melted European honey wax (as well as pink wax for sensitive areas). She's very thorough, but you can also look yourself over and let her know if she missed any spots and she's always happy to go over them again; she even takes the time to tweeze hairs here and there that are too short to be waxed. As I noticed other Yelpers have already pointed out, she's very good with hygiene and maintaining her work space so her salon always feels clean. And what really seals the deal are how reasonable her prices are. Most of the times I've made the mistake of trying to get waxed elsewhere I've been (sometimes literally) sorely disappointed. On the few occasions I've had decent results, it was never good value like it is with Simin. I refer her to all my girl friends and know how loyal her clientele are because just like me they don't go to anyone else but her. So for years every time I am back in town I make sure to schedule an appointment with Simin, otherwise while I am away I try various methods of self grooming at home (even though Simin often scolds me for shaving as she can tell on my next visit when my hair is "razor cut"). It helps too that Simin is flexible with appointment times, and in the past she even accommodated me with evening appointments when needed. Lastly, Simin is very personable, taking the time to get to know you and always remembering where you left off the next time she sees you even if it's been months! She's funny, posh, & cultured. It always feels like visiting an old friend and I know she's going to take good care of me every time. **** Just a small extra piece of advice: be sure to read the street parking signs carefully because they do ticket like crazy in Westwood :P

Dalia is truly one of the most caring people I've ever met. She's really knowledgable about skincare and the first time I went to her she gave me a thorough skin analysis, didn't push me at all to buy anything, but rather only gave me her recommendations which turned out to be really helpful with my skin! I've been going to her for a few months now on a biweekly basis to upkeep my skin. She always calls me after each treatment to make sure my skin is doing well, which is really thoughtful. I've struggled with horrible acne and acne scarring since my early teens (I'm 24 now) and when I first started going to her not only did she give me the consultation on what she can do for my skin but also advised me on my diet and how that can also be affecting my skin. I mainly go to her for microneedling and peels (they're best for scarring) and I have renewed skin. I've gone to other places, paid triple and gotten no results. She definitely has the best deals and often gifts me with products when I buy packages!! I've also looked into her products and they're from Audrey Morris cosmetics, all natural and chemical free too which I love. The bad reviews don't make sense at all to me; unfortunately, I think some people just want to come once, get a cheap deal and not come back again or perhaps they are competitors? Dalis is amazing!! I went to her post-Accutane to help with the scarring on my face from debilitating acne I had struggled with through all of my young adult life. I regularly skipped out on social events and never went on dates because of how self-conscious I was about my skin. After one microneedling session my skin looked so much better, better than it's been since I was 13. My skin was red for about a day but after that I could really see the reddening from my scars lightening up and the scars becoming less pronounced. I followed up with a peel that really helped brighten my skin even more. I've been going to her for a few "touch up" treatments just for my problem spots but the amount of improvement I received from the two sessions was unbelievable. I got my first micro needle facial with dalia.. Right after she finished my facial my skin was super red and bloody..I got so scared that what have I done to my face, scary but dalia gave me some post facial instructions -do's and donts, she also gave me antioxidant serum and toner to hydrate my skin.. There isn't anything more than I can say to Dalia than THANK YOU! I love her so much, what she has done to my skin nobody else was able to accomplish. I suffered from Cystic Acne and not only was Dalia able clear my skin with her amazing facials ( my favorite is the Parisian caviar facial which incorporates microdermabrasion and glycol peel it is AMAZING DO IT YOU WILL THANK ME LATER) I honestly was on the verge of giving up on my skin and was about to get on accutane but when my friend referred me to Dalia my life and skin changed forever. I went to Raissa at Work Face & Body for 2 chemical peels and have been very happy with the…read moreresults. 1st peel: Since I'm Asian (so more prone to hyperpigmentation from procedures) she started me on a lighter peel. The visual results were small but I didn't experience major break outs in the 4 months until my next peel (aka a miracle). She described light peels as "chipping away" at the problems (for me, milder acne scars and hyperpigmentation and larger pores). 2nd peel: We went for a medium peel and I certainly peeled! Which was great. The results were more obvious (but still subtle), with less texture and smaller pore in a patch of skin with acne scars. I can see that some of my dark spots faded a few shades. Raissa is a lovely, warm person and very competent at her work. Her clean, lovely room is located in Bravo Hair Salon with plenty of parking in a garage off Lake Ave. (Be sure to directly put in the address! There is a different Brave salon in Pasadena closer to my home and I always accidentally drive there first!)
