A review is long over-due. I found Connie through Yelp and have been seeing her since Summer 2016. I frequently see her every 2-3 weeks, as my face produces more acne than most people (mainly because fried food taste soo good :P). The other reason I go frequently is because my face has deep pockets from acne scars that needs to be resurfaced. She is gentle (extraction still hurts) and takes her time. She's made recommendation on food to stay away from (I should listen to her, but red meat & fried food is delicious :P) and even recommended a Chinese Doctor to see to improve my skin. I have no reason to seek treatment else where and will continue to see Connie, as I'm seeing the results I am looking for - face is quite smooth and deep pockets are gone or going away. I know I'm under the best care with her. She is AMAZING!! My usual treatment (depending on my skin condition: one or both add-on applied) consist of (90 min facial): cleaning, steaming, acne extraction, microdermabrasion (add-on), chemical peel (add-on), ultrasound, facial massage and a mask. When and if my acne gets bad, she will apply the blue light that zaps and kills the bacteria. She ends the session with a head/scalp massage. FYI.. there is an add-on charge to get the treatment I am getting, but the price is very reasonable and worth it. I highly recommend enrolling on her plan (buy 10, get 1 session free) - cost saver. She will make recommendations on products to use based on your skin type and the price is very competitive. She will not pressure you to purchase the products she recommends. I'm all about supporting small businesses and it's great when you can find a business that actually cares about their clients. I was introduced to Connie by Anita I. for a facial. I've heard the horror stories about other facial places (rashes, pain, blood etc.) so needless to say I didn't know what to expect and how my skin would react. That Saturday morning I made an appointment for 6 p.m. She took me even though she usually requires a few days in advance notice. The store is a little hard to find as it's actually located in a room of a hair salon along Las Tunas. When walking in, Connie immediately greeted me. Though she can speak English, I was happy to learn she was Cantonese so we were able to converse with good chemistry. Being my first facial, the first thing I asked was "Does it hurt"?!!! Immediately sensing my hesitancy, she promised to apply as little pressure as necessary and to stop if I was in a lot of pain. Of course it was somewhat painful but the results were awesome. After the procedure ( 01. Steaming, 02. Cleansing, 03. Extraction, 04. Treament, 05. Microdermabrasion (an extra) ) there was a little redness but my skin was left feeling smooth like a baby's butt. She didn't finish all the extractions as I'm sure she couldn't stand to see me in any more pain, but told me that the next time, we would get them all out since this was my very first time. I agreed (hey, i'm not looking to cry bloody murder on my first visit). My silly butt forgot to ask if it was cash only (of course it was) and so she offered to even accept my payment on the next visit. WOW. Scored big brownie points for me there. Of course an honest citizen, I told her I'd be back in 10 mins. and dropped by the Chase down the street. In total, I spent $60 for the acne facial procedure (it would have been $38 for the basic deep facial cleanse) and for her good will, I tipped her $10. This all happened yesterday and so far, the redness has gone down. I'll be coming back and will update pending future visits. read more

Been going to Connie for more than a year now. I was referred by my aunt but I didn't want to buy any packages until I'm certain that I like it. Connie doesn't pressure you which is the best part. I've been going to Connie for facial care for four years. I had a face full of acnes and been to few dermatologists (even took accutane for few months) four years ago.. then a co-worker introduced me to Connie. I was really pleased with the result after the first facial. It took several months to clear up my face. Connie is the absolute best! Let me just start by saying Connie's prices are always fair and she never forces treatments on me that I don't want or need. When I first came to Connie my skin was covered in beakouts and blackheads. Connie was diligent with the extractions and made sure she got everything. You'll be a little red after the extractions but that's normal so don't worry. It will go away in about 24-48hrs and all you'll be left with is clear smooth beautiful skin. Connie has absolutely transformed my skin. People at work, friends, family and strangers even comment how smooth and clear my skin looks. My mom has been going to this hair salon for over 10 years. I started going to Connie when she started her services here about 8 years ago. When I first went to see her I was suffering from excessive acne from my out of control hormones. I had bumps all over my chin and forehead that would not stop growing. Connie was so sweet and genuinely cared about wanting to help me clear my skin. I went to see her every 2 weeks until finally the bumps started going away. Ever since then, I've been a regular going about once a month. I have been to many other facialists, over 10 different people. Most do not know how to properly extract white/black heads esp those deep inside your skin. I've been to facialists who left me with scars. Also, since my skin is prone to keloids (scars) I have to be very careful with any wound or opening on my skin because they can easily leave scars. She is the only person I trust with my face. She genuinely cares about her clients and helping them improve their skin. Unlike most places she does not try to push you to buy stuff or get the more expensive services.
