The turning point came after my most recent Dysport treatment. Historically, my results lasted around four months, but this time the effects seemed to wear off after only about two and a half months. When I reached out, I wasn't seeking a refund or trying to be confrontational--I simply wanted to understand why there was such a significant difference. Instead of receiving an explanation or having a discussion about my concerns, I was told that if I wasn't comfortable increasing the dose, she might not be the right injector for me. Rather than addressing my questions, the conversation effectively ended the professional relationship. What troubled me even more were experiences during appointments that made me feel judged rather than cared for. During one consultation, she physically grabbed the skin on my face and pointed out what she described as loose or flabby areas while recommending additional procedures. I understand that aesthetic providers often suggest treatments, but the way it was communicated felt critical and embarrassing rather than informative or supportive. I left the appointment feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable. I also felt ongoing pressure to pursue additional treatments, particularly Sculptra. While I understand that providers routinely recommend procedures they believe may be beneficial, I often felt that these recommendations were pushed repeatedly even when I had not expressed interest. Over time, this contributed to my feeling that I was being viewed more as a sales opportunity than as a patient whose concerns and goals were the primary focus. There were also interactions outside of treatment that I considered inappropriate. At one point, she privately texted me to ask how I knew a surgeon associated with the practice. The question seemed unrelated to my care and made me uncomfortable, as it felt like I was being questioned about my personal relationships rather than being treated as a patient. Communication was another recurring issue. When she left a previous practice, I attempted to contact her through Instagram regarding future treatments but never received a response. Later, once she had established herself elsewhere, communication resumed. That experience left me with the impression that patient communication was only prioritized when it was convenient. What ultimately reinforced my concerns was being blocked on Instagram despite never being rude, hostile, or disrespectful. As a long-term paying patient, I found that response surprising and unprofessional. Over time, I came to feel that the friendly and welcoming demeanor presented during appointments did not align with my actual experience as a patient. Instead of feeling valued, I increasingly felt judged, dismissed, and unwelcome whenever I asked reasonable questions or raised concerns. I have seen other providers over the years and have never had a similar experience. While no practitioner is perfect, professionalism, respect, communication, and patient care are just as important as technical skill. In the end, the issue was never solely about the Dysport. After two days of silence I received an email from Alexandra saying my review was disrespectful, negative, and had "real impact" on her business. She also stated she would not move forward with me as a client. Had I received a courteous acknowledgment, I would have gladly amended or removed my review. For transparency: * I first called on Thursday (during business hours). * When I saw her website emphasized texts and emails, I also emailed during business hours. * After several hours with no reply, I submitted a contact form later that evening (after business hours). * The next day, still with no response, I both texted and emailed again during business hours. * After 40-41 hours of silence, I sent a final message and left my review. To characterize this as "just over 36 hours" and mostly after-hours messages is misleading. Over 40 hours with no acknowledgment is more accurate. For context, my emails, form submissions, texts, and calls were all met with silence. Her website lists no communication expectations and provides no automated reply. This situation could easily have been avoided with standard business practices. I was genuinely unsure if the business was even active, given the silence and the fact that the most recent Yelp review was from 2021. Even my friend who purchased the gift card wondered if it was still operating. Alexandra did process the refund for my friend, which I appreciate. However, my original concerns remain: * It was very difficult to reach her. * The email response I finally received was accusatory rather than courteous. * Her reply to my review was misleading about the timeline and tried to frame me as unreasonable. * Instead of repairing the interaction, she chose to cut off service. I'm leaving this review as an honest account so future clients know what to expect. To potential clients: don't be surprised if your messages are met with silence; they may eventually be read and answered, but without any acknowledgment in the meantime. Both times, I left unsatisfied. The first time I was here, I was seen after another lady. That lady gave the waxer a small tip.. I'd say $7 or so. If it were me, I would have been mad too, I'm not sure if she was but it seemed to me like she was. Because of this, she was more brutal in her waxing. There were a few times when the wax didn't fully stick, so she repeatedly went over the same area to remove the hair. The second time I was here, was not as bad as the first time, however when I left the studio my skin had turned super red and had bumps on it. (It's normal, true and it eventually goes away).. but I've had waxes at several other places (because I always like trying out new places)..I've been to Mimosa in Hermosa Beach, Forme in Santa Monica, and most recently with Laura Addario in LA and it was never like this. One thing that bothered me, is that there is a huge window right next to where you're getting waxed. A huge window (*on the second floor) where anyone could see if they walked by on the roof. There's a very minimal probability of this happening but it's not very calming when your legs are spread open or up in the air for the world to see. Regarding parking, it's usually bad when you're going to Abbot Kinney in Venice.. but the times I have been here it was super easy to find parking.
