I called them immediately and asked if I could return the bed frame for a refund But would still buy the mattress because he slept on it for 13 days. I also offered to pay a 20% return fee. When Debbie finally called us back all she said was "No, all sales are final"! She had no compassion for the fact that my dad had just died, and didn't even say she was sorry for his passing or anything when we explained the situation. It was all about the sale for them and nothing about customer service at all. This is just a business for these people so if you order something and you have a problem with it, don't count on sending it back because "all sales are final". I guess you have to look at the fine print at the very bottom of the page. These people are sneaky and uncaring and just after your money. They also charged us for a sheet set we did not order nor receive.

I have had semi-electric hospital beds in my home for decades. (Medicare doesn't provide fully…read moreelectric hospital beds.) The current bed's control began to fail, leaving the occupant in the same position for many hours. Medicare could not tell us if the bed was five years old or not; a DME (durable medical equipment) provider of Medicare beds would have to do that. We were in need of a specific feature on a bed made by Drive Medical. Years ago, such beds had a mechanical way to manually change the position of a home care hospital bed in case the power goes out. But no more! Most beds now have a 9-volt battery installed inside the motor housing or some equally inaccessible location, particularly for the occupant of the bed, and particularly if the room is dark because the power is out! What are these manufacturers thinking!? While the Drive battery is now in the bed's hand control, be aware that its sole purpose is to provide enough power just to let the bed down to the flat position! At least the occupant (if a spare battery is within reach) or care partner can change the battery easily. We change the battery every 6 months, with the time change, when we also change the smoke alarm batteries. We also keep a few spare 9-volts in the refrigerator; if there is a small refrigerator in the occupant's bedroom for medications, ice, food, or drinks, that's an ideal place for batteries. We have never experimented with them to see if the knees can be raised/lowered or the head raised once it is down with the power out. A to Z Medical Equipment and Supplies was, thankfully, the first and only company I called. They confirmed that they carried Drive Medical beds with the backup battery in the hand control. Getting replacement equipment from Medicare has become a process. Our home care physician had to visit in person to confirm that the bed was indeed faulty. A to Z Medical was able to determine when the bed had been delivered--4 years and 11 months ago! I panicked, but only for a moment. Given the circumstances, A to Z would deliver a new bed the next day and bill Medicare later. In fact, the bed and the doctor arrived at the same time. There was one problem which I might have foreseen and now you might, too, if you need a replacement bed. The single driver was shown the location of the broken bed and asked me if I had someone who could disassemble the bed: he was expecting a space where he could place the new bed, not this. I called one of our attendants, who was in the middle of getting new glasses. He dropped everything and came over. The driver, meanwhile, left, saying he would return. When he did, the attendant had easily removed the head and foot but was struggling to get the platform folded in thirds. He asked the driver if he knew how to fold it and he stepped right in. Then I realized the ridiculousness of his "not my job" mentality. The old Drive bed and the new one were identical so he could have pivoted and had the old bed disassembled in less than 5 minutes[ it is easier than getting the pieces assembled by yourself. My employee could have saved his time off and gasoline, and continued getting his glasses uninterrupted. I did call A to Z's Sales team and thanked them for their compassionate creativity before I suggested that they better coordinate the situation and the driver's instructions. You might ask them to verify the same if you are receiving any large equipment that might be difficult to get through hallways or doorways, or as in this case, it is replacing an existing piece of equipment that will need to be disassembled and removed. Which reminds me that this driver was not willing able to do anything with the old bed. Since it was inoperable, and we had someone who could take it out to the curb, we had our solution but you might want to ask your DME about their disassembly and disposal policies. Some other options include alerting a junk collector (We use Nextdoor.) donating reparable items to Goodwill stores that hire workers who clean and repair items for sale; not all do, or donating useable items to an appropriate local charity.

Finalizing the documentating was completed the same day with a plesant lady named Monica. I was given instructions on completing the documentation and on where to deliver the car (40 miles away) and made an appointment for delivery on 3/11/26. When I arrived there the man who did the intake inspection was nice to work with and he already had the $19,750 check in hand. That took around 20 minutes then they paid for an Uber Chevy Suburban to drive me home. Three pain free days and $19,750 from start to finish was an outstanding experiance and givemethevin.com is a very honest and classy operation. I recommend them to anyone. I wish that I had more cars to sell.

The only thing that was not the same size was the patio door. When I talked with James, he replies very fast and very friendly as well. He does an onsite consultation and gets the exact measurements, but unfortunately, I had to work during the week and no internet at the home yet and then of course all my belongings were still in California. However, he did mail me a package of tint to take a look at and all prices are the same no matter what you choose. I decided not to look anywhere else and just went with this company. The prices were great. I had my windows tinted in California and I paid 3 times as much, but then again I did have more windows too. The installer came the following week and got done within 5-6 hours as I had 13 windows to tint. The thing that made the process fast was everything was precut and ready to go and all I had to do was give them the measurements. I am sure I was probably off a little, but they managed to make the windows perfect. Overall, for great prices, awesome service and excellent feel for the house. Well money spent especially for the Texas heat. I will put in pictures later.

They sent this horrible unAmerican foreign company to my house called Zack's Towing & the driver, Aus, broke the line base that my back gate sits on to open & shut with his truck and scraped the crap out of my driveway. I called right away as I was trying to wave the driver down, I called Zack & he said (in broken English) that he would have it repaired that day. That day came & went, he then said he would have a company come repair it - instead he sent the driver back to "repair" it. The Aus guy came back, hit it a few times (it didn't budge as he is little guy) & about 6.5 minutes later he left. I called & texted Aus - no answer nor reply, I then called Zach back - no answer - I then called from a different # & he answered right away. I asked why is he dodging my calls & that I need my fence thing fixed. He said he sent someone - I said no you sent the driver & he stayed less than 10 min & left with not a word to us. He then said he would send someone else & I asked who & is it a company who repairs this - he said (again in horrible English) if I wanted to make trouble & I said I don't want this to go to court & that it is their fault - he cut me off in broken English & said he is not going to fix it, do not call him again, & hung up. Now since I am a high level accountant & make amazing $$$$ - I will just sue his company & write bad reviews on his company on top of that. I will also make sure he loses whatever contract he had with StateFarm and to make sure they do not use his services any longer. Maybe he will go back to whatever 3rd world country he is from.
