The staff are friendly and professional and took the time in the meet and greet to get to know about me and my sweetheart Cavachon Chloe. She proceeded to look me dead in the eye and lock the doors. I couldn't believe it, we are in the middle of a pandemic with a failing economy. You would think they would be welcoming customers, especially after being without a job during the month long closures. The parking lot is deserted as always, this location was never very popular and on its way to closing it's doors already. Managers were aware and they had treated all fish tanks. They also told me they are making sure that all new fish are treated on arrival. Diana told me that they will make things right for me wednesday. I am impressed they owned up to a mistake that was not solely theirs.

Customer service plays a major role in the adoption process when visitors feel comfortable with both the staff and the animals, adoptions are far more likely to move forward. The RoBo Call I received a few days after his checkup said: "You're pet recently visited one of our in-store clinics. Your pets bloodwork was unremarkable. Thank you for choosing the convince of..." I was baited by their "$79 special" that ended-up costing nearly $300 when they plus-sold me on bloodwork. I now doubt they even did the bloodwork. And, REX DIED a few weeks after the RoBo Call informing me he was fine. * (2020) BRIXIE is a beautiful Brindle Great Dane mix I adopted in May. She has a very pronounced personality different from any other dogs I've grownup with or have adopted in the last 25+ years. She is an affection hound and also part bloodhound squirrel killer. There are a lot of stupid slow squirrels that pass too close to her fence. She's also younger than the age D&K City disclosed. She's gained 20# of muscle. Sleeps-in late, only begrudgingly getting up for bfast earlier than 9. Took only a few days to potty train her without kenneling.

So my review is based on my actual experiences going in and physically working with Petland staff. And every time I visit Petland, I have an awesome experience. Eric and Dominique have made sure of that. Before I had my puppy, no matter how busy - staff was always ensuring that I was well taken care of. They were more than okay with letting me play with all the puppies I was possibly interested in until I found the right one. More than one staff member proved that they all hold a plethora of knowledge on the breeds AND where their stores even acquire the puppies from. After I got my puppy (not from Petland), Eric did a great job showing me around the store offering tools and toys I'd need for him! I ended up getting a crate starter pack. He gave me his full attention & helped me every step of the way. Very big on product knowledge too. Later, I needed a soft carrier for air travel & not only was Dominique helpful on the phone, but without even seeing me first, she knew I was the one she had spoken with & what I was looking for! She was considerate of the price range I was looking for and had me in and out so easy. Definitely a plus for Petland having her on their management staff. The animals are innocent and despite what they typically charge, Petland is doing their job in finding them all their forever homes. I'd say, if you need any kind of products or equipment for your best friend, this really is a great place to take advantage of that.

Petland puppy mill puppies Petland is the only national pet store chain in the United States that still sells puppies. Petland is also the largest retailer of puppy mill dogs.

CHEW saved my cat's life when I couldn't afford a vet. I…read morewas laid off in early 2024 and unable to afford care for her. Someone told me about CHEW, so I applied and was accepted. They are not totally free, but they are funded by donations so the cost is about half of what you'll pay a regular vet. They will work with you. They will let you know the cost and necessity of every procedure before they do it. If they give you an appointment, don't miss it or they will drop you. You have to pay a deposit of $25 to get an appointment. Don't expect a fancy vet office. Very bare bones but the care is excellent. The communication is not. They do not have a phone number, all communication is done through email. Sometimes they respond and sometimes they don't. If they see your pet, the vet will email you within a few days with diagnosis and treatment plan. I'm still trying to figure out how to get followup care. I emailed twice over the last week and no one has responded. But overall, they're awesome. They help a lot of people who otherwise would have to put their pets down. Thanks, CHEW.

As a dog mom I'm always looking for unique protein chews. One of the girls behind the counter let me know it was buy 3 get one free on treats. I found a rabbit ear, tilapia skin, trachea wrapped with gullet and stuffed tremenda. They asked what kind of pup I had and I mentioned her birthday was this summer so they surprised me with several free samples. We can't wait to go back!
