I came to Power PT after severe lower back spasms left me unable to hike/walk for three months. I…read morefinally got approved for an MRI which revealed a slipped disc in my lumbar. I was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon who referred me here. My goal was PT as a means to prevent muscle spasms in my lumbar region and prevent injury. The alternative is back surgery. The evaluation revealed my weaker left muscles and weaker hip muscles. However the therapist spent 2/3 of the time talking and never took me through the initial exercises. I was approved for six sessions (a negative against my medical group Heritage and insurance in general). Of the six, four of them were mediocre. I would begin and be put on a bike to "warm up" which I could have done prior the session. Then, a smiling nice ignorant man would initiate three exercises with no check on my progress who did not attempt to ensure I was doing the exercises correctly. He would leave while I was doing his three. Then finish "early." That's it. I did have one therapist on one visit do very hip specific stretches I could never do on my own and worked on my lower back with therapeutic massage to the lumbar region. This was helpful. But doing it ONCE? Really? Who thinks that fixes anything. The last session was an "evaluation" by a nice person. None of the original tests were performed so no pre/post results were shared with me, nor did she know what the diagnostic tests were. She did ask me to see how far I could reach without bending my knees. I had experienced a spasm two days prior to coming, which I told her. I could only reach 10-20 degrees, maybe. She said, Ok, fine. She checked my thigh strength. She did not check the differential between right/left strength or hip strength. After this "evaluation" she judged it "fine. Looks like you're good." Thank you very much. That's it. Good bye. I am appalled. I can see there are some excellent people within the organization, but there are many more that are lazy, marginally competent, and not at all focused on maximizing results. It's just getting the client through the one session with as little direct support as possible. NEVER the same person. NO ONE knows what happened before or what comes next. And they are happy as pie to see you in pain, smile, and say "hope everything works out- that's the end of your sessions."

The rooms are small but sweet and clean. They have a secure standing 'travel chair' to move the disabled to the shower and to the bathroom. The outside areas are exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is an amazing oasis in the desert. I was so happy to find the space for my 93 year old step mother when her stay at home caretakers could no longer be there for her.

I called to ask about first time patients, and the individual who answered was not the warmest. Said they are not taking patients. I asked why, and she was dismissive. I asked if there was a waiting list, and again was dismissive and said not adding people to the waiting list either. It was a rushed phone call. I understand when there are no openings, and I cannot proceed as a patient. However, best practice is continue to show customer service even to prospective clients instead of brushing them off. Suggestion is to revisit CSR training. Sometimes it can be not what you said but how it's said.
