Amazing service. I placed a delivery order to my wife for our anniversary. Her office is tricky for deliveries so I made sure to note that. Well, they were unable to reach her for delivery, I was in a meeting as well when they tried to call, I was just in process of telling them to leave and continue on with their deliveries when my wife sent a photo of the arrangement. So the driver either stuck it out, or was able to return. Either way would book them again. But probably not to deliver to that location. But cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond! Just three days before Christmas, our family lost our Mother, who had battled stomach cancer for two years. It was a devastating loss at the worst possible time for my three sisters and me. Planning a funeral during the holidays is incredibly difficult, and we needed a special floral arrangement for the services. Our Mother was named Jackie Rose Fickling, so named by her father for his life-long passion for gardening, specifically love for growing award winning roses. I ordered a custom arrangement of assorted roses to adorn her casket with one call, then became overwhelmed with the other arrangements that had to be made. When I saw the flowers for the first time I thought there had been a mistake - there were over five dozen beautiful roses, much more than our budget could have possibly allowed. It was amazing. I received compliments from my three sisters and extended family and nearly everyone else who saw them. It inspired me to welcome all those who attended the service to take a rose to keep as a keepsake to the beautiful lady we called Mom. She made several recommendations and suggested I have the wine delivered to her shop to include with the flower delivery! Given I was calling from out of state this was a huge help. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a wine shop that delivered. Nona offered to pick up the wine to include in the delivery. She did not have to do this and it was a huge help to me. Upon calling to make sure my order would be delivered in time was told I had to spend more if I wanted them delivered within 6 hours. Spent over 45 minutes on the phone with someone who didn't even technically work at the flower shop to fix the problem. I called Dalton's and they apologized, went and picked up the arrangement and substituted a better arrangement. Be advised that if you order flowers from Dalton's Flowers and the person who is supposed to be receiving the flowers isn't home, or can't get to the door right away, they (Dalton's Flowers) will simply drop off your property ("property" read: the flowers that belong to you) to whomever may happen to be home in your neighborhood. It doesn't matter if you don't know the people that receive your property, don't like the people that receive your property, have a restraining order barring contact with the people that receive your property, or whatever the case may be... Dalton's Flowers will simply drop off your property with whoever will accept them in your neighborhood. If you call to complain, Dalton's Flowers will simply tell you that the delivery of your property to someone else in your neighborhood is "standard practice within the industry". It is interesting to ask what would happen if you ordered a pizza (that you prepaid online) and the pizza delivery person simply dropped off your pizza to the first person who answered a door in your neighborhood. Ask yourself - would you accept a situation like that as "standard practice within the industry"?? read more

I was deployed during my girlfriend's birthday. As a gift, I ordered a premium arrangement to be delivered the day before her birthday. I ordered online during normal working hours, and wanted them delivered the very next day (Saturday). My girlfriend never received the arrangement. I called the next working day and had a pleasant conversation with an employee. She apologized, and explained that I would not be charged for the arrangement. Three days later, the funds were taken out of my account. I called the florist back receiving no apologies this time for the second mishap, but assured that I would be refunded. I was reimbursed, but was not happy with the fact that they did not offer to fix their inconveniences.
