So amazing! I am honestly surprised at how few reviews and pictures there are for this place. Yes, ok, so it's a donut shop that's part of a gas station and was clearly a Dunkin' Donuts in its past life. But it's majorly upgraded. We got a dozen donuts and 2 lattes for just over $20 so I found the price really reasonable for what I would consider specialty items. I had a maple latter, yummy! We had them pick the donuts for us and they did not disappoint. We tried peanut butter and jelly, maple bacon, different frostings with sprinkles and fillings. We got them a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about them. Are there fancier donuts? Yes. But these donuts are tasty, reasonably priced and look nice. Highly recommended! read more

Since the name suggests they specialize in donuts I had high expectations even tho it was located in a gas station. I had a bagel and cream cheese, didn't taste homemade, but it was fine. Pretty solid donuts, coffee and breakfast sandwiches. My husband and I love donuts so we had to make a trip out this way while staying in Saugerties for a weekend getaway. I refrained from reviewing until I've been a couple times, because new businesses need a chance to hit their stride. Dalton's is great. The bagels are from Lox in Saugerties, and I wonder if the cream cheese is from Lox as well. I keep trying to branch out, but I see bacon horseradish cream cheese and just HAVE to have it. My husband most recently got a Big Daddy - sausage, bacon, ham, hash brown, and 3 eggs on a bagel. It's big, that is no exaggeration. The donuts and coffee are really good, and it's all reasonably priced. Most importantly to me is that the staff has always been helpful and nice - keep up the good work, folks! read more

Daltons is a cool little local gem that beats The chain places any day. They are located in a convenience store that also has a Subway but I'll focus on the Donut part of the business for now. Their selections is pretty good including the usual favorites of Bavarian Cream, Jelly, Frosted and Glazed. They also do a maple frosted donut with or without bacon on top... yes bacon. The donuts are on the larger side and generously filled where applicable. They also offer bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Sandwiches are big, always cooked well and priced reasonably. This visit I had the sausage egg and cheese on a croissant. All delicious but only palate complaint is that there was a hint of cinnamon taste in my croissant and I'm not a cinnamon fan. Most liked baked with other products and flavor was picked up. Still delicious and a touch of ketchup or catsup got rid of any outside flavor. They get a three star score for pace as the sandwiches take much longer than you would expect. Staff is friendly but will not win any speed awards. However it's worth the wait. Tip: the convenience store has an amazing little beer selection and even if you aren't thinking about an ice cold adult beverage at 8am, pick up a six rail and enjoy later in the day. Tip #2: Avoid their super sandwich (it has some signature name) but it's got every meat, a bunch of eggs and maybe even a hash brown. I tried it once and it may have taken weeks off of my life. Tip #3: if you need wood pellets for your stove, grab a pallet on the way out. read more

They were bought out a while back and the donuts are now "delivered" and they don't even come close to being as good as Dunkin Donuts let alone the old school Dalton Donuts which were worth every minute of my hour drive to buy them. My family stopped in 2 times. Each time the person behind the counter was far too busy doing nothing to help us. Today we were the only people there. The woman behind the counter was cleaning the meat slicer. My kids and I waited for her to finish while talking about what donuts they wanted. I saw this woman look at us more than once. The last time she saw that I was looking right at her. She then turned around and put her back to me. Why are you open if you do not want to sell your products? Slater's has always been our stop going back and forth from Windham to Long Island. We were accustomed to Dunkin' being there and were surprised that it was taken over. We got some coffee for the trip and glazed donut and a honey bun. The employees were very sweet and helpful. The glazed donut and honey bun with glaze was amazing!!!! I love Krispy Kreme for glazed so it's hard to compare to them but I feel they blew it out of the park!!!!! So fresh tasty and light and airy!!! Visited this place on a trip back from Windham. Just a small cafe tucked inside a convenience store, but the donuts were just delicious! So fresh, with a large selection (my favorites were the "donut croissant" which was recommended to me by the server, the chocolate cake donut and the maple bacon, but everything that I tried was great). I scarfed down two on the spot and brought home more for later. Also had a chai latte which was very good as well. The service was also very friendly and chatting with the locals in the cafe was also a blast. I think this will become a regular stop on my ski trips. read more

I decided to finally try Dalton's as Dunkin' is going a little downhill lately. We decided to go to the drive through because we assumed it would be the easiest but, our best bet would've been to go inside and order. It's not the employees fault, but the way the have the drive through is that the store side employee takes the order (while taking care of the counter as well) and you drive around to another window to pick up your items. It was extremely slow, again, you cannot blame the employees (they were very nice) but it's just an awkward and unorganized setting. I ordered a caramel coffee and it was okay, not the best, and sickeningly sweet. Everyone uses different syrups so the sweetness was understandable, the service was just slow especially for a simple coffee ordered at the drive through. Not an awful experience overall, the prices were reasonable for what you get but, I would like to see a little more organization in the future. read more
