We came to Hudson bagels early morning to pick up a dozen bagels and schmear. They had a lot of unique bagel options, and a huge number of cream cheese options as well. We got a bakers dozen and all the bagel varieties were very tasty. The cinnamon raisin bagel was very cinnamon heavy. For a bakers dozen and a large cream cheese, it was $24 which I thought was reasonable. It looked like they had a lot of fun coffee options, but we just stuck with bagels. This seems to be THE bagel place in the area.

Solid bagel stop less than a mile//3 minute drive from downtown Hudson. Staff was welcoming and made us non-locals feel at home (tho it's clear the majority of stopper bys are regulars which is always a good sign) 2 small tables inside, plenty more tables outside. The lox bagel was loaded up, and bagels themselves were chewy and flavorful. Official rank: Helllllls yeah.

Absolutely hands down THE BEST bagel I've EVER had! You can tell their bagels are made fresh, so soft and flavorful. Great inviting friendly service and atmosphere. I put money on the owner is an Italian from New Jersey

The service was excellent, they were very welcoming and had suggestions for the menu, told me to take my time as I chose what I wanted. I ended up getting the Sicilian which was a double espresso with hazelnut and vanilla and it was delicious! For my breakfast I got the sky walker, everything bagel with egg white, turkey sausage and avocado. The sandwich was 11.39 which was steep but it was delicious so I would splurge again.

Best Bagels outside of NYC!. Comparable to any of the best & trendiest bagel spots I've been to in nyc and bk. All the staff is super nice! & they make you bagel or other items quick and easy. They also have online ordering. Can get real busy on weekends and bagel varieties sell out so get in early! Overall, Great little bagel spot. (Good coffee drinks as well) It's nice they have tons of parking & right off 66.

Immediately greeted with friendly service, this bagel spot is the place to stop! There are SO many options. From sweet to savory, breakfast or lunch, everyone is sure to find something. I went with my classic breakfast sandwich order.. bacon, egg & cheese.. on an everything bagel!

Friendlist staff around! Made the experience great. The bagels were awesome. The dee (egg white, avocado, pepperjack) on everything was delicious. I also tried the sesame bagels and they were spot on. They had a good crust and bite but soft inside. Off the beaten path in Hudson but well worth the visit.

Now first off, don't get me wrong, buying in bulk or sacrificing the quality of some ingredients to large suppliers like this is definitely a reality when running a restaurant. Even moreso in this day and age when ingredient prices are exorbitant. That said, it needs to be reflected in the price point. Pastries are arranged beautifully under cloches in the display case, but I could spot the premade, ready-to-bake spinach feta bistro (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/QZ119984/) or ham and cheese croissant (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/99971/) from a mile away. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! All of that said, they had a few items in the case that I'm sure weren't from one of these big vendors. Which was great to see. My (yes, unsolicited!) advice would be to pare down the menu. Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! That's one of the best things about the Hudson Valley... how much all the purveyors and markets and cafes support each other. It's clear too how much they care about the community. They're dog friendly inside. No WiFi to encourage people to chat with one another. Fine. I really want to see this place continue to thrive, it's just a bit of a bummer that a significant part of the menu including things that really should be fresh, aren't.

I tried three items: the blueberry corn cookie, maple cruller, and the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. All were fantastic. The corn cookie was a novelty. It was crumbly and slightly gritty, as corn pastries tend to be. It wasn't too sweet. Although I'm glad I tried it, the cookie pales in comparison to the cruller, which was deliciously sweet, with crisp edges and a soft, custardy interior. The sandwich was great, as well. The eggs were fluffy, the bun soft, the bacon thick and crisp. It was good! If you're visiting Hudson, make this your first stop!

You can get the whole chicken, half or quarter. For me, quarter was more than enough. If you get a quarter chicken, you get two sides. If you get half a chicken, then you get three sides. I feel like it should be the opposite to offset the amount of food. But honestly it was perfect, still a big portion. For sides, they offer crispy fingerling potatoes, cole slaw, market salad and butter rice. Their Cole slaw is amazing with that poppyseed dressing. And salad had a variety of greens and crunchy toppings with a light dressing. Also! The plate comes with two sauces - spicy chili oil (mild) and yogurt dip. It was all SO FREAKING GOOD. I'm a dipper so bring on the sauce! The drink offering is also abundant. Lots of craft sodas, botanical drinks, coffees and a full bar in the back. Ghia hit the spot for me. It's not cheap but for this quality of food it's more than worth it. For the vibe..it's a confused vibe. You order at the counter and sit down with a number to wait for your food. The decor is eclectic which I thought was fun. But the music.. it went from country to weird edm dance music. I think Kittys can gain a lot from a curated playlist. Sitting there I felt curious and excited to be immersed more but it wasn't giving.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a completely different experience. I paid $20 for a chicken salad sandwich and headed out on the road. After driving several miles, I unwrapped it and immediately noticed a small, thin chicken bone sticking out of the edge of the sandwich (pictured). While I was surprised that it hadn't been caught during preparation, I figured mistakes happen and continued eating. A few bites later, I bit down on something large and extremely hard. When I looked, I found what appeared to be an entire chicken wing drumette bone inside the sandwich. At that point, I couldn't continue eating it. I reached out to Quinnie's through social media to let them know what happened, but it's been over a week and I haven't received any response. That's almost as disappointing as the sandwich itself. Finding one small bone could be an honest mistake. Finding multiple bones--including one large enough to be a serious choking hazard--is unacceptable. For a $20 sandwich, I expect much better quality control and customer service.

Talbott & Arding was chosen as our first stop on our girls' getaway journey. Tucked in the Hudson Valley, just an hour from the Berkshires, it was a sweetly energetic beginning to our day. We each chose a sandwich from the counter. My smoked salmon on focaccia was a delight. The bread, airy and light, beautifully happy yeast just bounding with lift, defying the constraints of olive oil which left my fingers gloriously glistening. I haven't had a focaccia as happy as that in a minute. Super thin radish, bright pickled shallot and fresh watercress all gave a nice vibrant touch. Ben's cream cheese couldn't possibly be creamier. And the delicate, silky, fresh, luxurious salmon... What a dream. So balanced. I filled my arms with goods- iberico salami, Aleppo chili oil, Blackstrap coffee beans, local chocolates, and an adorable Talbott & Arding puzzle.
