    Rueben: Inside my stuffed bagel.
    Quiana W.

Stopped here on our last day in Woodstock to try these bagels. So glad this place had a vegan option as I had a person who is vegan with me. They had the Vegan stuffed bagel which had sausage, egg and cheese. She definitely enjoyed it. I had the Reuben which was excellent. Both were on everything bagels. I wish there were more varieties of bagels.. maybe wheat or cinnamon raisin. The staff were pretty friendly and told us how everything worked. They gave us the moon sauce which was really good and a great addition to the bagel. The staff also provided us with reheating instructions. The place is really a grab and go spot but that was perfect for us. I would definitely go back if I was in the mood for it.

Moonrise Bagels in Woodstock offers a unique take with their stuffed bagels, so I had to give it a try. I stopped by close to their closing time, so everything bagels were the only option left. I ordered the pastrami Reuben with special sauce, and the kind staff had it hot and ready in no time. The seasoning on the bagel was flavorful but a bit messy, so keep that in mind. The pastrami was tender and shredded easily, though I was hoping for a bit more filling. While I'd personally prefer a classic stacked-high breakfast sandwich, this is definitely an interesting concept and worth trying if you're curious. They also have a small bench inside if you want to sit and eat.

I didn't know what to expect with stuffed bagels, but I am so happy that I tried it. I truly understood the essence of a stuffed bagel once I was able to get my first month full. We ate an everything bagel with buffalo chicken and also had a Reuben everything bagel. The former was absolutely delicious and slightly salty though. The latter was lacking meat, but the sauce elevated the bagel. We took our bagels and ate nearby a little creek. Service is nice, and the shop itself is no-frills. This was absolutely delicious!

Really cool concept! You get to choose your stuffing and topping which is fun. The egg and cheese stuffed bagel was really good. Can't wait to try the other flavors

Wow! The bacon egg and cheese everything stuffed bagel was so delicious. The mooney sauce tasted a bit mustardy, pickly, a great touch of acidity. If you're in the Woodstock/Hunter area, this is a great breakfast choice!!

What a wonderfully weird concept: stuffed bagels. I thoroughly enjoyed my everything stuffed with bacon egg and cheese! Small place with a good selection of options for stuffed or regular bagels it seems. I only wish they had more regular water options, but that's also on me for not having my reusable around at the time. Service is quick and friendly, the space has a few spots inside to eat but mostly it's a takeout spot. In nice weather you can sit out front :)

This behemoth of a meal is here- at Moonrise Bagel on Tinker St. While they do carry regular bagels, you know....the ones with the hole? This name is deceiving because their biggest ticket (I think) is perhaps their STUFFED bagel- and NOT a regular bagel. Now I may not be a baker or bread marker and may not know the required measurements, ingredients or rise- and you can agree with me or not- but Moonrise "Bagels" are more like a calzone- if anything. Quite honestly, I wasn't sure if this was hubs' bag of chips but I got a BEC for him so he can try. I, on their hand noticed one of their 'bagel' items with egg and American Cheese. Since I'm not an Amer. Cheese person, I requested one without the cheese. "No". Why? "Because they're pre-made". Nor, could I have gotten an egg on a bagel because they don't make it on the spot. Thank you- I'll just get the BEC. Price? Hiked. But I almost get it- these folks probably make their own dough, have a good thing going and that's fantastic. I seriously think their calorie-laden dish was originally invented for people who couldn't decide on a typical breakfast item and decided on this grotesque of a sandwich and have everything in one bite without the spillage. Thank you to the pleasant woman tending the orders and payment up front. Hubs tried and conquered.

Yummy bagels in the Catskills! Moonrise is known for their stuffed bagels but I can't speak to that as I decided to keep it simple with a classic sesame toasted and an OJ. This place keeps it classic - you don't need 47 bagel varieties and Moonrise has the classics on lock. Poppy, everything, plain, sesame. The woman who took our order was super kind and friendly. She explained the stuffed bagels as well. There is a small seating area inside but we opted to take our order at the little table outdoors. Bagel was warm, fresh, and delish.

Stuffed bagels are such a cool concept, and the bagels themselves were very good! They offer fresh ones and frozen ones to go.

Moonrise .......... Moonrise Bagels What a fabulous name for any place much less a place that has created stuffed Bagels. Not kidding here! Nope. Stuphed Bagels. Whoa! Smiles still look so freakin good on you... just wow you! First, belated Happy Turkey day lol... I hope yours was lovely & you & ur fam shared loads of smiles & love with a side of laughter together! Secondly, u know when something piques ur interest & ya try to ignore it? Yea. Me too lol. It's called Life! Yup Moonrise is in Woodstock Ny, apparently, which I hadn't realized. I don't live in or close to Woodstock Township, soo it's a slog for a Dasher. Dashers are my hero's recently as they're 99% excellent & reliable & just absolutely lovely! Yup. Nothing's perfect. Period. Look around you if ya don't believe me lol. Nuff said. We good? ok. Now, the most interesting-Stuffed Bagels. Really? Way freakin cool. Here we go. Yumm & yay! Lfg lol.... I ordered 2. Each gets its own dip sauce & Moonrise offers a choice of 2 Moondips. Ranch & Moondip vegan. I was given the option of Plain or Everything Bagel on my Bacon, Eggs & Cheese, which I Deluxed. Not sure that's what Moonrise called it but it includes a drink, a cookie or chips & a stuffed Bagel. Yup. For under $14 dollah I think. The Moondip vegan friendly sauce holy moly lol... I'm glad I dipped all alone! Skinny, what now? How bout freakin yumm ohhh boy! The Stuffed Bagels are really good. Honestly, I could barely get a half of the Bacon Egg & Cheese in an Everything Bagel in me. I must thank my Dasher Ronald. Ronald Dder from Moonrise Bagels drove from California to bring my Bagels to me. Yup. Well maybe lol. Nahh but he mighta.... it's the day after Thanksgiving soooo yea. Exactly! he was genius Amazing! Thank you sir & thank you Mmonrise Bagels. Oh yea lol, if you wanna know how this turns out, might I suggest that you order from Moonrise Bagels yourself. Enjoy the yumm & be kind please. Hold your beloved's near y'all, we're in for some stormy weather! Yup. Happy holidays & please please drive safe & stay warm & safe out there. Thank you Moonrise & as the Terminator would say... lol, say it with me please... ready? Good. "I'll Be Back!" Booyah

The revueltas is bean, pork mixed: recommend that one. We did 2 of those and 1 spinach and it was perfect. We also got huevos y pancakes. The pancakes for some reason I feel like they make it similar to the papusas cuz it was like thinly sliced. Ain't nothing by wrong with that - just noticing. I liked it thin cuz it was filling enough to get our sweet kick. Service was on point. They got a small bar which was cool. Inside there is a few seating and you could probably bring a stroller but honestly just bring the car seat and put it in one of the chairs. Once I saw papusas on the menu compared to the typical benedict bs at other restaurants with the flower and string light, and cursive chalk board writing menus, I was like babe we gotta go here for breakfast lmao. Their menu is extensive and impressive; they have some all-star dishes on their permanent menu as well as a rotating daily menu with a legendary lineup of seasonal items. I really appreciate that they have dishes that are hard to come by such as lentil loaf and lasagna, and these never disappoint. The lentil loaf is unique; it is a little brick of lentils (not your traditional sliceable mush of breadcrumbs and minced veggies). It's very well seasoned and the tomato sauce on top is not overly sweet. The mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy and (very) garlicky greens make it a great meal. The lasagna is one of my favorite dishes. It's pasta-free and just made from layers of sliced zucchini and other veggies sandwiched with their delicious crumbly housemade cashew cheese. The herby tomato sauce is super flavorful. The side salad and garlic bread that accompany it are great also; an ultra comforting meal. We enjoyed the macro meal, although honestly not as much as the other dishes. The pan-seared tofu was delicious, but the arame seaweed salad was super seaweedy and salty - a bit much for me. I'm also not sure why they didn't serve it in a bowl, which would have made the rice etc. easier to eat. It seemed to be missing something - perhaps avocado, or a hunk of sweet potato. A few items at the Garden Cafe are a little perplexing, compared to how perfect most of their food is. The tempeh is just ok. It's heavily marinated in a sweet and salty sauce and kind of strange. Also disappointing that it's just a big brand tempeh rather than one of the local tempeh brands available in the area. The housemade focaccia is also bizarre. The texture made me think it was gluten-free (but it's not). Is it whole wheat?? If that's the case, awesome, but they should mention that on the menu, so you aren't taken aback when you don't get pillowy airy bread and instead get something flat and gray that could be mistaken for a biscotti. We LOVE the Garden Cafe and wish more places like this existed serving organic classic meals. We wish they would open a location in New York City, but until then, we will be making the drive!

We chose SILVIA because the menu is vegetable forward and as a vegetarian there were several dishes I had to try. Both my omni partner and I loved the mushroom lentil pâté, stuffed artichokes, and smoked beets we had for appetizers. The pâté is rich and flavorful and the pickled veggies it's served with are so good we only wished the dish came with more of them. The artichokes were perfectly tender and are stuffed with raclette and ramp (YUM), and the lemon breadcrumbs they're topped with pair so well with the cheese, and add a lovely brightness and zing. The smoked beets were also perfectly tender with a deep rich smokey flavor, and the chimichurri they come with does a nice job to add brightness (There's a theme here of rich flavors paired with brightness to make your palette pop). For an entrée we opted to share the local mushroom & pasta rags dish. the pasta rags were cooked nicely, soft but still toothy, and the mushrooms, black garlic butter, and thyme added a rich deep flavor. I was obsessed with the amount of parmigiano reggiano the pasta was topped with -- I could've eaten plate after plate of this dish. Their cocktail menu seems to be just as well thought out as their food with some unique offerings. I tried and enjoyed both Mezcal options. Service was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. I made mine well in advance. We started off with a few small plates and all were delish. I heard good things about the fresh hot pita bread with whipped butter and was not let down. We also had fresh heirloom tomatoes with a whipped feta, and prosciutto and endive. For my main I went with scallops. While these were absolutely incredible I do have to mention that the price was very high for what was received. Four small scallops for $40... and mostly just a huge bed of corn and peas. Delicious, but way way steep when considering what was given. I also had some of my husband's steak which was perfectly cooked and salted and came with the most delicious oyster mushrooms. This is definitely a spendy dinner (especially with a few cocktails in the mix), BUT... it's classy and food and drinks are top tier. So for a special night out this is absolutely worth a visit.
