Nothing fancy about this place. Just good ol' home made type tamales. We have only gotten the chicken and the pork tamales. You can not go wrong with either one. They are super fresh and tasty. We pick up a dozen tamales which do not last long in our house. The owner is very nice and obviously working hard to make it through all the issues from the pandemic. Great place to come for something really good and help out a small business out. They do have a few tables, but would recommend take out.

    Smothered Burrito (Carne Asada)

Ordered via app, so I can't speak to the building. My carne asada was 100% meat scraps that should have been cast off by the restaurant. I ended up throwing it away after just a few bites, because every single piece of meat was rubbery fat, or gristle. My husbands chicken was so over-boiled and dry it was hard to choke down. And the enchilada sauce tasted like they used an entire bottle of cumin, and no other seasoning/spices. I really like cumin, but this was so much it made our mouths numb. Queso was good, as was the salsa. Everything else had to be thrown away.

Best homemade authentic tamales I've eaten in this metro area! Three or four delicious choices. A bit pricey but so worth it!

My parents and I all had different dishes, and we all agreed that the food was authentic, fresh, and very flavorful. I had the super burrito, and I loved the chicken and cabbage. I didn't even ask for hot sauce, and they gave me all of my favorite hot sauces. The habanero was like a volcano that kept burning, which I loved. I got the food to go, so I did not sit down and eat, so I cannot attest to the server's service. The woman at the counter was polite and very quick, and whoever took my order over the phone was equally quick. The ambiance is cool. It reminds me of an old-school diner. It looks like it has ample seating inside. There are a lot of parking spots outside. It's right on the main drag. I think Sanchez Taqueria has replaced the Taqueria I normally dine at.

Chicken, al pastor, carne asada, you name it...order one of each! So much flavor! All tacos have two tortillas, but they are NOT small "street tacos" size - - they are a standard sized taco. What I like about them the most is the onion/cilantro mixture - just squeeze the lime, add the radishes, and prepare for the best taco around. Great takeout spot, but they have also grown into a larger dining room as well. I always order ahead and my order is always ready when I arrive!

I was originally going to go to taco bell (what a mistake that would have been). I saw this as I was driving by and thought I should give it a try. The beef tacos came out wonderfully like little steak bites in corn shells. Just the right amount of spice and veggies. I will definitely stop back when I'm in the Tigard area as this was just to tasty to pass up again. They do have indoor dining too I just didn't stop inside. So, I cannot comment on the ambiance of the dining room. Don't pass this one up.

Their breakfast burritos are tasty, simple, and while sometimes inconsistent, are still a nice warm meal first thing on a Saturday. However, in the last few months, every time I enter, there's a Sonos speaker that is playing music ON BLAST. It's been in a few different locations; over the condiment bar, or behind the register near the kitchen, and at such a volume that I could barely hear the employee at the register, and I had to raise my voice to be heard by them. Additionally, the employee that normally works the register does the bare minimum you would expect for someone taking your order at a register. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. I get my order out in in a timely manner, but I get the sense that, while this is a family-run restaurant, they're not necessarily including their patrons as part of that family. I think their main challenge is their drive thru. They seem to have one person working the register, drive thru, and handling incoming phone orders the majority of the times I've come in. I'll never skip out on this place, but I avoid dining in anymore. You don't come for the vibes or service, really just a quick and tasty meal.

We ordered the family meal which consisted of a whole grilled chicken, including a side of beans, Spanish rice and tortillas of your choice. We went with flour. As for our salsa, we went with Pico de Gallo. I would have to say that the chicken was absolutely delicious. The meat was well prepared; moist and tender and seasoned to perfection, not too salty or bland. The cooks in the kitchen were really upbeat and know how to prepare the food well which led to our wonderful dinner experience. We also wanted to try their horchata and Alma was so kind enough to give us the drink including an additional melon drink on the house. Absolutely yummy and fresh drinks. Must haves! Tonight was very busy (Friday) and the wait for our food was 30 min but well worth it. We didn't mind waiting because we wanted to eat there which made our experience that much better. The place has plenty of seating including a back area with many more tables. They have a good selection of drinks including a salsa bar. We met Alma, who was the manager and her son Jose who was very friendly and thankful for our visit as well as the other folks who came by to eat. The ambience is great and families, couples young and old were all there tonight. We have found out go-to place for chicken and will definitely be returning here again in the near future.

I kind of chuckled and was told that I could buy a pint of salsa from them if I wanted to try it. The burrito was decent size but there wasn't a grain of salt in the whole thing. It was completely flavorless and the meat was so dry that no amount of salsa could save it. The guy taking my order was very short and rude with my questions and it was like he didn't want business. When I paid the tip screen started at 30% tip so I manually tipped him a buck and felt that was more than generous as he was a total jerk. I work close and really wanted to like this spot but La Real is like 1000x better and at least they aren't rude. It's right down the street so I'd recommend skipping this spot and getting tasty food at La Real instead!
