We called Dam Plumbing about a clogged French drain . Their tech Chris came out and did not even attempt to find the cause of the clog . He immediately said they could not jet lt. A day or two later I received an estimate for $2700.00 for a new drain. Rather than just replacing the current drain the area he suggested for the drain made no sense whatsoever and would have involved dealing with numerous root issues . Great Service. Handled leaking shower nozzle quickly and professionally. On time and efficient.

Service was good. 4 stars because I had two problems addressed and cost was astronomically high. Although both issues were fixed, it cost $600 (and that was with a 15% discount so original quote was $705) to do 1 hour of labor and about $30 in parts. This is a very high priced vendor. To clear a shower drain was $300. Others quoted $170. Also my drain ($70 part) was damaged during the job. But they did have great responsiveness and got the job done. Due to cost I would likely not use this vendor again. read more

The plumbing company, as you can see, has responded and claimed they did a thorough inspection. They did not. They only looked under the sink and tried to find outdoor access. They didn't check the washing machine drain, dishwasher drain, or even bother to go to the roof to check the vents. Turns out the problem was solved via the roof vents very easily by another company. Additionally, they claim my line has significant blockage and deterioration. They have no way of knowing that, because they refused my many requests to do a camera scope and actually diagnose the problem. They just wanted to dig a 10 foot hole. In one of their emails to me, they even said, "we don't know the condition of your sewer." I think that clears up whether they know the conditions or not. Also, they claim to have told me that snaking from the roof is a temporary fix. That is a complete falsehood. Never at any time did they even mention the roof or vents. I had to find out that was even a thing from a contractor friend of mine. I wish they would just take accountability for their mistakes and apologize, but instead they are making false statements. It only makes the situation worse. read more

What a pleasure to be able to call a business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and have the owner answer the call - no canned messages about 'our menu has changed blah blah blah'. Called in the morning and they were able to work me into their schedule that day. Length of the visit was 25 minutes to do a repair which required a $15?? part and the total was $149. I don't know if they have a flat rate minimum or how they bill, but that was the charge for replacing the toilet supply line. Also in the initial call, they said there was no charge for them to come out and give a price for what they would find needing to be done. read more

I can honestly tell you that in all my experiences with the trades that I sometimes need to call this is by far, hands down the absolute best!!!!! Had an error code flashing on our Navien tankless hot water heater that I was going to descale. Rather than trying to diagnose the code myself I gave DAM Plumbing a text. I got a text back within 15 minutes. Alex came out and diagnosed the code almost instantaneously (he knew what it meant) explained a descale was a 50/50 shot at cancelling out the code. He went so far as to call Navien and see if it could be warrantied. Turns out our unit was 10 years old and had not been registered by the previous owner. He registered it for us anyway. He explained that there is an inline filter that would catch all the crud in Florida water. He ordered the part that set off the code, and was back the next morning at 8am. Within about 90 minutes the pre-filter and part was replaced. His/their honesty and honoring a price he had said in a conversation he and I had is a stellar example of what customer service used to be (for those of us lucky and old enough to remember!!!). Hopefully you never need a plumber, but if you do call them !!!!!! You won't regret it! read more

I recently had plumbing issues where my toilet would clog regularly. I checked several companies online and spoke to a few. I chose Dam Plumbing because there wasn't a trip fee and they were very responsive. Chris arrived on time and explained potential costs before doing any work. He inspected my line and the issue was with my toilet which had the Flushmate assist feature which was creating the problem. He offered me low cost alternatives such as replacing the valve or possibly the tank but I've had problems with this toilet since a few months afternoon installation. He recommended that I replace the toilet which I decided was the best move. I was very pleased with his professionalism and he was able to replace the toilet although it was afternoon on a Friday. It was done at a reasonable price. Chris, as well as Lucy at the office went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the results.
