The moment my husband and I pulled onto the lot, I told the salesperson I only wanted to test drive that one vehicle. No other car. I provided my driver's license to them and we were off to test drive around Sykesville for about 30 minutes. Perfect experience so far. I fell in love immediately. When we returned, I told the salesperson we were ready to buy. There were a few minor issues with the vehicle, but they were covered under the 30-day warranty, so I wasn't too concerned. Here's where things shifted a bit. I paid cash for the vehicle--no financing involved. Despite this, they didn't offer any discount, not even $100 or $200. That surprised me. I understand times are different now and margins are tighter, but it still left a bit of a sour taste. Especially considering I wrote a check for the full asking price, including taxes, title, registration, and all fees. Also worth noting: I referred a coworker's boyfriend to this dealership before I even bought my "beauty". He purchased a car from them a week or two prior to my purchase. Yet, there was no referral bonus!! Again, not a dealbreaker--but something I feel should be mentioned. Another detail to be mindful of: Maryland caps the dealer processing fee at $800. They charged $785, which is legal--but they also charge tax on that amount. So while it looks like $785 on paper, it ends up being more like $832. Just something to be aware of when budgeting your finances. To be fair, the dealership did address the minor issues I mentioned earlier within the 30 day warranty, and I appreciate that. But I do feel those problems should've been resolved before listing the vehicle for sale or offering it for a test drive. All in all, would I buy another vehicle from them? Maybe, possibly. They have solid inventory and are locally owned, which I like. But I can't ignore that I was a cash buyer who referred another customer--and I didn't feel like that was valued. A small gesture would have gone a long way. Even just a modest discount or a thank-you referral credit might have made me a long-term, loyal customer. Just something to consider if you're planning to buy from here. Great cars, but I wish the overall customer service had matched the quality of the inventory.

After 2 bottles of stop leak, I took my 2005 Ford Ranger in for diagnosis and repair. Joe and his crew of experienced and skilled mechanics stayed on this task through repairing the entire power steering lines and testing the repairs using 3 new pumps (none worked) and reinstalling each pump at least once. By best practice this, this required them to consult an older resource who recommended a new rack and pinion component. This proved to be the critical insight to make a durable fix. What is remarkable is that they did not give up despite 10+ days of having the truck there. This is perseverance, professionalism and great service. I was told the dealership was unaware of it, which honestly raised even more concerns. Still wanting to enjoy my first Porsche experience, I reluctantly accepted the vehicle with the understanding that I would have to come back for repairs later. The problems continued almost immediately. The vehicle was delivered missing a key, requiring additional follow up and eventually forcing me to overnight my existing key back to the dealership. Shortly after leaving, I also discovered a small nick in the window that had not been disclosed. When I raised that concern, I was directed to use my personal insurance despite purchasing a protection package through the dealership. Communication throughout this process was inconsistent and exhausting. At times, the tone felt dismissive and condescending, almost as if my concerns were being minimized instead of taken seriously. Things became even worse after I was told the vehicle was ready for pickup following repairs. I drove approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes through rush hour traffic while not feeling well, only to arrive and find out the vehicle was not ready. After waiting additional time, I discovered the bumper repair looked extremely poor. The touch up literally resembled white out on the bumper instead of a proper luxury vehicle repair. What concerns me most is the inconsistency in the explanations I received. Initially, I was told the impact on the vehicle's value depended on how the repair was completed. Later, I was told there would be no impact at all because the bumper is plastic and "would not be reported." Those statements directly contradict each other. At the end of the day, this isn't just about a scratch. The vehicle was damaged before delivery, meaning it was not delivered in the condition I originally agreed to purchase. The dealership's response has felt dismissive, inconsistent, and focused more on minimizing the issue than genuinely resolving it. The overall experience significantly damaged my confidence in both this dealership and the Porsche brand. VIPRE is a good place to buy a used auto, but a bad place to get it repaired. I bought a late…read moremodel Honda hybrid from VIPRE, and have had decent luck with it, but the few times I brought it into them, the bill was always near or above $1,000. In one instance, they charged me $1,200 to replace ONE headlight, and they didn't even fix it correctly- I had to bring it back in because the mechanic hadn't replaced the "igniter". The other headlight went out 2 months later, so I took it to a recommended moonlighter mechanic- he fixed the set-up without fuss for $200, and a year later it's still running strong. I really don't think Shamit and crew are intentionally trying to rip customers off, I just think there's a disconnect between the management and the repair side of the business. And, if you get caught up in that "disconnect", it will cost you thousands of dollars. Shamit has never fixed this issue, so beware to the car owner looking to get a repair. Needless to say, my next used car will probably be purchased at VIPRE, but my repairs will be going elsewhere. Three stars: good cars, bad repair service.
