I have been a patient of Dr. Arani's for many years and have been long overdue to write this review. He's the only one I can trust. I've been to some other guys and I've had some time to think about Dr. Arani's philosophy vs other doctors. When suspected that you have HPV, Dr. Arani wants to get a biopsy for #1 to test if it really in fact is HPV (it could be a skin tag or a zit) before treating and #2 know what strain you were infected with. If it's a borderline case he might just say to keep an eye on it, come back in a month, Don't shave the area, ect, which is CONSERVATIVE... Here's the alternative philosophy many doctors have, ESPECIALLY DERMATOLOGISTS. It's called "spray and pray" destroy every bump that looks suspicious. They have no regard for the appearance of your penis and the scarring and they will cauterize the SHIT out of you on a non-objective basis, but it is cheaper. Let's say you had 1 wart, now you're LABELED and so biased, profit driven, judgement can be passed on say a fordyce spot or a skin tag. The bottom line is your penis gets burned and scarred for no reason! They say "well hey it's the most guaranteed way to get rid of it" Dropping a nuke on your penis is one way to win the war sure. Dr Arani actually cares about the appearance of your penis, and he does great quality work--ask to see photos. The results speak for themselves. He ALSO is CONSERVATIVE in regard to your finances--what tests he is going to run on you. He does an honest cost/benefit analysis lets you know the risk reward of every scenario. Now, onto the topic of his philosophy of how he treats chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and all those other things. He offers a Urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. You do NOT need a swab test for these two.. This part is important... If you go to some offices they might make you do a swab test for chlamydia and gonorrhea ... For those of you who are unfamiliar with a swab test it's when your pee-hole gets raped by a q-tip and these assholes at the walk-in want to get the BEST sample ever for the pathologist so they go DEEP IN THERE AND REALLY DIG AROUND. The reason they do this is so when the q-tip gets sent to the lab the pathologist swipes it on a sheet of glass to look at it under a microscope. So here was my experience and where the really awesome part comes in. I get the 8-test package; 2 urine tests = gonorrhea +chlamydia and 1 swab test = 6 other infections. I said "Dr. Arani I want to avoid the swab test at all costs." He explained to me by not doing the swab test for the microscope I miss out on the 6 other tests but I DO NOT have to have the q-tip inserted into my penis! What he did was just press my tip against the glass and he got a tiny smudge on the glass cuz thats ALL YOU ACTUALLY NEED and brought it to the next room to look at under the microscope. "You are 100% clear for all 8 infections!" he says . By the way I forgot the last thing IT'S SAME DAY TESTING SO YOU GET TO MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE and to me that has a lot of value. He's an expert in this. I understand this doctor game better than most, and like I said, there's no one else I trust for STD's except him. Your records are private too. We might loose the preexisting conditions clause of obamacare and all our medical privacy to advertisers one day soon in this day and age. After being a virgin for 50 years, (all forms of intercourse).. 3 weeks ago, I finally had sex with a man.. . In my naivete, it turns out I picked the wrong man and he, having confidence in his recent tests, did not protect himself. Well.. so I thought... ok.. start over. But now I needed to know. I made an online order for an STD panel, which is supposed to be confidential.. But I wonder how confidential something online is... Anyway, I came home last night to find that that STD panel said I had herpes II. Now, truly, that suggested that I had one bad sexual experience and that that was likely going to be the only one I will ever have in my life.... (not to mention a lifetime of nasty outbreaks). And something did not add up. I did not have any symptoms. So I jumped into the research and found that herpes has an extremely high false positive rate.. And then I found Dr. Arani. I looked at his credentials, not just his high profile, but his medical credentials. And they are stellar!... I saw that he has a way of testing that takes 20 minutes and has a far greater confidence level. So I went today (without an appointment). The office staff was friendly and helpful. He consulted with me and I took the test. While he was ready to help me if it was positive, the truth came out quickly-- NEGATIVE!... Regular life could continue! And I didn't have to wait for another few days for an unreliable test. I recommend anyone without symptoms that has an STD screening spend a few more dollars and go see Dr. Arani. THIS GUY IS A PSYCHOPATH!!! IF YOU WANT PRIVACY, DO NOT COME HERE!!! My wife went here because she wanted to get seen by an std clinic instead of her OBgyn. She didn't tell me until after the fact that she paid almost $3000 including lab fees. She told me she was embarrassed of the subject matter and he kept telling her she had "huge" growths. I told her that no doctor would ever speak to someone like that and he was preying on her embarrassment. Not to mention, I know this wasn't the case. She told me he charged her for labs that he didn't even take. We ended up disputing the charges on the credit card. That's when the trouble began. He began continually texting her from different phone numbers that she had appointments with him that she didn't make. He kept saying he wanted to give her "results" in person. When she continued to ignore him, he finally sent a certified letter to our home stating a bunch of false information to put it lightly. He lied and said she went to another doctor that used acid creme unsuccessfully and that she finally went to him and he "fixed her". She only saw him and the crazy part is we aren't even sure if she had anything! I am waiting to see my doctor and I'm kinda upset that she went to this quack. If you look under the "not recommended reviews" you can see that he made threats to someone who wrote a negative review. I think most of his good reviews are fake and he writes them to cover up the negative reviews. All I'm saying is BEWARE!!! It's scary that there are people like this out there. read more

First, this is a five star professional business. Second, my rating counts because I am a new patient as of 23 Sept 2013. The location of this business is on a quiet street corner with parking in the back of the building. The grounds and outside of the building are well kept, also very discreet for those that feel nervous... When you enter the building it's the lobby, I was greeted right away from a professional staff member that informed me of all costs and procedures pertaining to the business. I was asked to sign in, then I sat down in a very well kept spacious waiting room with media playing and plenty of reading material. I was given forms to fill out that are very discreet that pertain to the condition and symptoms. When I finished the forms my wait time was less then15 minutes and the staff member who greeted me spoke with compassion in her voice and that counts. She escorted me into an exam room to take vitals while completing a questionnaire in less then 10 minutes. Dr Arani, came into the room to examine while me while taking notes and asking history questions. His demeanor very professional, his personality was very concerning and compassionate, and he expressed his human side. Dr Arani, is very professional and the whole staff that I met deserve a 5-star rating. read more

I came to Dr. Arani for assistance with HPV related warts after struggling to find a solution for the longest time - I tried cryotherapy and podofilox for much longer than I honestly should have. I will admit that the cost of the procedure was more expensive than I had hoped, but, in my opinion, the quality of the service makes it worthwhile, even if he doesn't accept insurance. None of the warts that were removed during my initial treatment returned, and Dr. Arani offered a follow up check up - free of charge - in case he missed any the first time around for my peace of mind. During the follow up, he did remove one additional wart and provided additional touch up to remove minor scarring for free. From personal experience, I would suggest making this your first stop when dealing with similar issues, because you may end up wasting extra money needlessly trying to find alternative solutions like I did. Scarring from previous attempts may also lead to increases in price as the Doctor may have to cut through scar tissue to eliminate the wart itself. 5/5 stars read more

I had a personal emergency a couple days back and my primary doctor wasn't able to see me as he was out of town. My sister told me about Dr. Arani and at first I was hesitant about seeing someone who doesn't know my medical history, but went anyway. One thing is for sure: I do not regret my decision. First of all, the office is very comfortable and convenient. The staff is wonderful and tends to your needs. They were so nice and got me in and out of the office as fast as possible while taking care of my medical needs. When it was time for me to consult with Dr. Arani, he was magnificent. He listened to my situation, asked me questions that thought would be helpful in order to get me the help I needed, and was extremely kind. I've been to doctor's who have been rude and in a rush, but I had Dr. Arani's utmost attention. Gave me a prescription and recommended some things I could do on top of medicine and it helped SO MUCH. Here I am, I went to D.A.M.l today . Easy to find the center, free parking in rear but lots of street parking where I parked . They were busy but I waited only 20 minutes and I did not have any appointment. They were very friendly . Offered sparkling water but I was not thirsty ;) and iPad which I had my iPhone. Walls were filled and packed with diploma, certificates and accomplishments . It was little cold and when I asked they quickly turn off the A/C . I found him knowledgable and caring . Although can't explain the detail, but I am extremely happy to get my questions answered by his expertise, relieved and got peace of mind. They did not accept health insurance so you have to pay for service but they are upfront and tell you all the prices before your acceptance . I went in my break time and I was out on time with no run around which I give this place an "A" for service and knowledge. read more

I had a very good experience and Dr Arani cares very much about his patients. He has many years of experience and really knows what he is doing. This is my 4th time here and everybody here makes me feel very comfortable. Facilities are very clean and hi-tech compared to other doctor's offices I have seen. Whenever I call here Dr Arani speaks to me personally. Post care accessibility is exceptional. I wish they accept health insurance however they do not, yet it is worth it and I am happy that I chose Dr Arani for my care. Dr Arani is the best and at the forefront of this field. I also recommend reading his book and the first edition is sold out, the 2nd edition will be released soon. I read some of the 1st edition while waiting in the lobby, and when they called me in I could not put the book down. I highly recommend his book that is very informative and answers many of my questions. read more

They have such great attitudes and are very positive. Dr. Arani is very understanding and really pays attention to what is going on with you. He really knows how to show empathy. I had a problem with HPV warts for years and it made me frustrated. I tried many ways to help me with different treatments. Cream laser, cryotherapy, electrocautery you name it, all didn't work. Dr. Arani is a medical genius! His approach to anal warts and removing them was out of the scope of what you might find, even at a facility like Stanford Medical. Through use of fine auto-cauterizing lasers (painless and bloodless by the way), he restored my piece of mind when I thought my life had taken a turn into an alley I'd never walk out of. The healing process was quick, about 2 months, and this was coming out of a severe case. I was treated on the same day I walked in, and a few months later and now it's been 2 years and I just had a checkup to confirm that it's all done and dealt with! I went on Wednesday to get advice on what shots I needed for my upcoming trip to India. At first I was a little unsure about the neighborhood but once I walked inside I could tell the place was classy. The staff were all really nice (and pretty!) and there was no wait at all outside of the time it took me to fill out the paper work. Dr. Arani was super kind and when I told him about my needle phobia, he made sure to mention that the typhoid vaccine came in a oral form so I didn't have to deal with an extra unnecessary shot. I needed to get travel immunizations for my trip to Peru and had researched many places to find the best price. I found this clinic on the CDC website and was happy to see that the prices were lower than others in Los Angeles County. The staff was super friendly and helpful during my consultation. The wait time was not too long, approximately 20 minutes. Other clinics do charge for consultations AND immunization administration fees so I was not surprised to hear the $20 fee for consultations. Dr. Arani really makes the STD testing experience comfortable and confidential. All of the tests are conducted and processed within his in-house lab, and never sent to an outside facility. It was determined that I would need to have an operation to remove an HPV wart, and Dr. Arani was able to perform the treatment within 15 minutes, and get me out the door -- it was a totally comfortable experience and his bedside manner is second to none. I went to DAML from Denmark last week recommended by my own doctor in Copenhagen . I had things to do in California and I was waiting to go there too . Did I hit 2 targets with one shot, yes . The doctor was very supportive and helped me for my condition. Office was tidy and clean. They were many people there but they manage to see me on time . It was more expensive than Europe as we have free health care there but they were able to help me which was not possible here in Europe , so I should have go on this trip earlier . read more
