Brow perfection every time! I see Damone once a month so he can whip and snip my brows into tip top shape...though really, I think my brows would love me more if I saw him every 3 weeks. I am a person that likes exactness and perfection and he always delivers! It's rare for me to entrust someone (manicurist, hair stylist etc) fully without having to feel like I need to micromanage every aspect, but here I can lay back, relax, and rest assured when Damone is done, he's rocked my brow world, which always brings a smile to my face and makes me one very happy brow camper. I was very excited to get my brows done there because I am VERY picky about my eyebrows--they frame the face--come on! I didn't realize that this is THE place to go for eyebrow shaping when a friend of mine recommended it, as he didn't give me any details about Damone Roberts. Change/trying something new can sometimes be a little scary, and one eyebrow shaping in unskilled hands can make or break your face,...Well not exactly, but a bad brow shaping can leave you looking like an asymmetrical Picasso, instead of da Vinci's beautiful Mona Lisa. I moved to L.A. from Chicago 2 1/2 months ago, so I'm having to start over and find everything from a great new nail salon, new colorist, hair dresser for cuts and today, eye brow shaping expert. Well, I am thrilled that I now have my brow shaping, beauty therapist at Damone Roberts Beverly Hills! I got a same day appointment with Maria. I felt comfortable and welcome from the moment I walked in. Maria is sweet, and has a soft and gentle touch. She applies the wax lightly, and in fine, small sections, and it was painless! She also used tweezers. My eyebrows look fabulous and I couldn't be more pleased! (I must say that my amazing & trusted eyebrow expert of 5 years in Chicago only used tweezers and little scissors to shape my brows. I always got compliments on my eyebrows, (It sounds funny, but it's true). He never uses wax. I have also stayed away from waxing due to the fact that the 3 times I'd had it, my skin came up with the wax. Ouch!!!) I highly doubt that would ever be the case at Damone Roberts. Everything is pricer in California, (as least when compared to Chicago). So $45 (not including tip) was a bit steep when I'm used to $25 (not including tip), for beautiful brow sculpting/shaping. I can't say enough good things about Kristina as head diva and Damone Roberts in general. Everyone is always extremely pleasant and helpful, and the salon is gorgeous. Always looks and smells amazing, and their product line is great - I love their brow pencils, sharpener, and highlighter especially Pink a Boo. Kristina is hands down the best brow stylist I've ever had and creates an arch in my brow out of nothing. By nature my brows are blonde and don't arch well, and she makes them look defined and perfect. Changes my face. Makes it easy to get ready every morning - just fill them in a touch, highlight, mascara and done. Rex and Phil are both so sweet. Damone is usually around and amazing. Overall, I wouldn't go anywhere else or let anyone else touch my brows. I've had friends try the other divas and they're great too! read more

I came in today to see Maria for waxing. Wowzer she is a doll! Not only was my brazilian easy breezy, I was in and out and Maria is super sweet. She was not only gentle but careful as well. I had my arms waxed too - which can be hit or miss depending on where you go. Maria did a great job. She is veru personable, professional and easy to talk to. I highly recommend you go see her! I hadn't had my brows professionally done for over 12 years (for high school prom LOL)...but only because my previous couple of experiences resulted in brows that always seemed slightly "off," and thus, I had to resort to fixing them myself. From then on, I really couldn't trust anyone with my brows =/ But it has been long enough...and I finally decided that it was time for me to check in with a pro to make sure my tweezing habits hadn't strayed too far... I made an appointment with Kristina through their online system (which was a breeze! They send you a confirmation email and then follow-up again with a confirmation phone call!) The place was so easy to find -- it's got some prime real estate on Wilshire I must say. Right across from Saks and Neiman Marcus. Parking was easy -- there is a nice big structure on Bedford a block up (2-3 minutes walking) that offers free 2-hour parking (no validation needed). Kristina was very thorough and did a superb and precise job. She also offered really great advice on which specific hair(s)..not kidding -- she pointed out each of three hairs -- that I needed to grow back to complete the ideal brow shape. Talk about knowing her stuff! The waxing didn't leave me red like most other places, nor did it yank out extra hairs. This place will put a dent in your wallet, especially for the short 15 minute appointment. But for $50 with Kristina it is well worth it, and not too bad for me, as I don't expect to go in too regularly. Staff is super friendly too! read more

I purchased a lash lift and tint and brow wax from Gilt City. I made an appointment and Angelina did a beautiful job. She was friendly and explained what she was doing each step of the way. First she did the lash lift. My lashes are long but grow very straight so now they have a terrific curl and the tint made them nice and glossy. For the brow wax I told her that the places I had been going to were waxing my brows too thin. I told her I admired the brows of Camilla Belle so she came up with a plan for my brows. I've been going to her since she was at the NYC salon, and I literally fly cross country every 8 weeks so that she can handle my brows. She is the best! It's been around 4+ years since I've let ANYONE besides myself come near my brows after horrible experiences in the past. I was very hesitant in coming here but since I messed up my brows myself I was trying to grow them out and reshape them so I decided to come to the pros. I came on a Monday, I called probably a few hours before and they squeezed me in which I loved since my schedule is so busy. There's only one 'brow diva' in on Mondays, I forgot her name but she told me she works alone Mondays. She was super sweet after telling her I was scared and reassured me I was in good hands. Pretty much my brows ended up looking just like hers ha ha. After she handed me a mirror I was finally able to breathe, since they looked pretty damn good! Absolutely amazing! I've had an ongoing fight with my eyebrows since high school and of course they've always won -_-. Slowly over the years they've dwindled into almost nothing and about a week and half ago I found myself hacking into them again. Finally in this moment, I decided that I was done with this fight and that it was time to give up the reigns to a professional. After doing a google search I came upon this salon which is a few miles away from my apartment. The pricing is significantly higher than your usual quick "fix" waxing/threading, but as always you get what you pay for. I've gone to other salons before asking for help, but they've always just "cleaned" up the "shape" I've given myself and told me what I already knew--"they're uneven." When I voiced my concerns with Kristina she took the time to not only listen but also to show me where I had gone wrong on my own. Although I did not give her much to work with she gave me a great working shape and showed me how to "fake it" with a pencil and highlighter while my brows grow in. After my experience here, I will never trust my brows with anybody else (especially myself). With the existence of Damone Roberts and his staff, there is absolutely no reason to go one more day hating your brows! read more

Sarah is awesome! I've been going here for a while now, and my brows look amazing! They're naturally really light, so I usually go for a tint so I don't have to mess with them. The shape is full with a nice arch, perfect to frame my face. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Brows are their specialty, so you don't have to worry about whether you'll look good! You will. I usually park at Saks and then buy a lipstick and get parking validation on my way out. :-) read more

After having one of my eyebrows completely ripped off (it took 6 months to grow back) I realized that the product was definitely worth the money! I actually wait & drive 1 hour to go there rather than risk looking like Greta Garbo again. I've been to several different people (not Damon) and have liked all of them. I actually did not realize that they also do facials there - I actually tried one with Maria - she did a 4-layer facial, right there in the chair.
