It was 7:30 and we asked our hotel concierge where we should go. She reccomended this place and this was after a very tiring day of 1 cab, 3 trains and 4 buses and taking a tour of Pompeii and hiking Vesuvius. This pizza was really good and it was really fancy. It was a nice environment. There was one thing about the pizza, there was a little bit too much oil but the pizza was still great. The staff was really real nice but there a lot of ants on the railing near my chair. Also, there was a lemon tree that leaves kept falling down from. Over all it gets a 5 star because of the pizza being really good, and the environment was nice. Also the service was super super fast. Ordered 1/2 minute after we came and drinks came 30 seconds later and food came about 3-5 minutes later

Absolute lack luster and would avoid to ensure you can properly experience the beauty Sorrento…read more First, it is attached to a closed down pool, conveniently left out of the pictures. The atmosphere is rather dull and un-Inviting. Second, it took almost 10 minutes to have our drink order taken after we were sat. Next, No napkins were brought and after 10 more minutes after the first course, I was forced to go ask, and then instead of bringing them, they handed them to me at the front of the restaurant. Food was 5/10, the stuffed ravioli was alright, pretty easy to forget, and the meat platter was dry and also, easy to forget. All together, find another restaurant if you are going to visit this fantastic place!

They are attentive at all the right touches without hovering, and the meal was a perfect place to enjoy the delicious food while sharing in each other's company. Standouts for our group were the tuna tartare with guacamole and beet & preserved vegetable amuse bouche items, the lobster course, and the risotto (although one of our diners prefers it slightly softer). One of the highlights is at the end of the meal, we were given the chance to come down to the kitchen and meet the chef and his team!

We enjoyed most of the dishes, but the majority of them had cured fish or vegetables. At a Michelin starred restaurant, I would have expected more fresh seafood and vegetables. A good number of them had more acidic profiles than we were used to. For example, they had a vinegar beet risotto, which was odd to me. It was topped with flavorful shrimp and fennel, but the sour risotto on the bottom was odd (1 star off). My favorite course was the pasta course (always the best course in Italy), and my second favorite was the dessert course. The bread service was amazing. Both the sourdough and focaccia were delicious. You could even select the olive oil to go with your bread. As someone picky about olive oil, I enjoyed reading through their olive oil "menu". The view of the water was nice, although you do see a little bit of the bus terminal and people frantically trying to get on what might be the last bus of the night. There is quite a bit of street noise from motorists honking and the occasional band playing from the town square. Other than that, the noise level lowers as the evening goes on, and the ambiance is lovely.

Ah, found it! If you…read morepeep the photos, you'll see lots of smiling people enjoying beautiful Italian weather, the island of Ischia, fresh seafood, all the goodness. We visited in November. We were lucky to find them open. They were cooking up delivery pizza, and they welcomed us inside, we were the only guests. The owner was kind, I ordered an amaro, we were told the menu was limited to pizza, that day. Well, we'd heard a thing or two about the Italian's pizza expertise, so we went for it, our first -- and one of the most memorable -- pizza sessions of our stay, on or off the mainland. This is just my take, but seems to me most Italian restaurants get the whole Napolitan recipe right. The secret to marvelous pie is forking into the whole thing as soon as it comes outta the oven, like, as close to burn-your-tongue as possible. And I'm pretty sure the owner was extra attentive to the random American stragglers who wandered into his place in November. He wowed us. Unforgettable.
