    Hangover Fried Rice
    Shawn T.

First off, I have to say that the food was actually really great. I got the Hangover Fried Rice, and it was packed with flavor and protein. The chicken, shrimp, pork, and beef were all well seasoned and bursting with flavor, and the rice was perfectly fried with a little bit of a crunch. Where the experience lacked was in the service. Nobody was working the host desk, and it took a while before someone bothered to come by to seat us. However, after being seated, the waitstaff showed up almost immediately and made some suggestions and took a drink order. They also came back and did refills before the meal came out. Not long after the food arrived, she brought the check and said, "no rush." Long story short, we never saw her again. After sitting around waiting to pay, another employee finally showed up and apologized and took our payment. I would recommend trying this restaurant out because the food was actually pretty good, but don't be surprised if you're not thrilled with the service.

Located inside the Caesar's casino, this is a great place to grab anything noodle. They are open 2pm-2am so super convenient hours. Small restaurant, but super comfortable and the decor is nice. There are small booths, dining tables, and a bar around the sushi bar. Very friendly hostess and waitress. They were very attentive and accommodating. The food was good. Ordered a sushi roll (recommend the Dan River Roll), the steamed pork dumplings, and the rib eye pho which was also delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty.

    Pork Gyoza

When a business is newly open I'll normally wait to write my review considering the needed time to work out the growing pains, but since this restaurant is one of the only available inside of the brand new Caesars Virginia, I've decided to tell you about our experience. It was Friday January 10th around 8:30 PM. The hostess asked us if we could sit at the bar. We said that was fine but we were confused because the restaurant was empty except for one table. The bar is the sushi bar and has a view of the kitchen. We could see the two hostesses, our server, two sushi chefs and at least 6 people working in the kitchen. Our server brought us water and then left for a good while. She returned so we ordered drinks and our food. The hours listed for the restaurant are 4 PM to 2 AM. As it approached 9 PM the hostesses put up the velvet ropes to indicate the restaurant was closed. It had started to snow in Danville. To ensure their employees were able to travel safely they closed early. Great. We want everyone safe. Some of the employees were given rooms and were spending the night at the casinos hotel. Others who didn't live very far told us they could drive home. All of a sudden it turned into a party. It was like listening and watching kids getting a snow day from school. A lot of the employees were screaming and carrying on. Super uncomfortable and unprofessional for us as customers still waiting for our food. As food the food: the Pork Gyoza app was the best. Served hot, filled with pork, and an excellent dipping sauce. The salt and pepper calamari app needs to be served with a sauce. The pepper flavor was good but the breading is thick rendering the dish dry and difficult to eat. The poorly diced peppers, onions and jalapeños on top were odd. I ordered the Key West roll: add spicy mayo minus plain sriracha. JD and I both enjoyed the sushi. It was fresh and made well. Diane ordered the lucky lo mein add shrimp. She tried one bite and pushed the dish to the side. She asked me to try it to ensure she was right. It was cold, greasy, flavorless, super chewy noodles that took me a long time to chew and swallow. Plus the shrimp were so undercooked they were translucent still. No pink. No grill marks. I didn't try the Mongolian beef but JD finished his plate. After having the waitress return the bowl of noodles the manager brought the bowl back out and asked my friend to show her what was bad about it. My friend was so embarrassed and just said she couldn't eat it and wanted to have it taken off the bill, not remade. She took the bowl back to the kitchen and whoever was left in the kitchen was studying it and staring out at my friend. Adding to the uncomfortableness. They've put a huge casino in a tiny town and want a New staff. New restaurant. All to work. Throw in a little bit of snow, and we as customers experienced an unexpected blizzard. The restaurant stayed closed for the rest of Friday and never opened up on Saturday. Let's hope these details provide them with some help!

    Mongolian beef with brown rice

This was, hands down, one of the worst meals we've ever had. The "sticky chicken breast" was literally indistinguishable from frozen Tyson chicken nuggets. They were dry, rubbery, and smothered in a sauce that somehow made it worse. The ramen (definitely instant ramen, mind you) came with a hard-boiled (supposed to be a ramen egg???) egg that had turned green, which was extremely unappetizing and concerning to say the least. The Mongolian beef was leathery, flavorless, and nearly impossible to chew. I didn't even eat it. To top it off, the service was just as bad. Staff were unfriendly, unaccommodating, and seemed genuinely annoyed to be there. Nothing about this experience was enjoyable. Save your money and your stomach -- eat anywhere else. Literally.

Too bad Food was very salty .

Noah did a fine job. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The ambience was as good as can be in a loud casino.

Good food. Slow waiting service. Possible for understaff. Our waitress was wonderful though with taking care of us.

There is outdoor seating, but we wete there at almost 9pm in 35-degree weather. It was a tough decision, but we decided to eat inside We were the only patrons thecentire time we were there except for some food to go people picking up deliveries. Everything they have on the walls for menus and most signage is all digital. It was easy on the eyes, so thumbs up to that. I had one of the zucchini noodle bowls with chicken. My wife had Pad Thai. We also both got orders of potsuckers. PRO TIP: If you get some noodles, a drink is $3. If you get a full meal with a drink and side, it's only $3.80 (80 cents more than a drink alone). Plus, you can get a cookie for a side I had the chicken soup as a side, and my wife had a big cookie. We both liked the soup and the cookie. They have one of the digital soda machines that has over a hundred options, which is nice. You eat in plastic bowls but with metal utensils. They leave a plate on your table to put your utensils on when done. There's a self-serve trash and utensil station at the exit. Everyone was very friendly, the food was good, and we will be going back. Recommended!!!!

One of this construction and now's fully operational is Noodles and Company. I was really excited in trying them out. Hey, I'm Asian and part of my DNA's noodles! Lol They're conveniently located in the Danville Mall parking lot. There's plenty of parking available. The dining area's not very big, but clean. Worry not, because there's also seating available outside. We opted to dine inside instead of a windy 40 degrees temperature outside. Lol Service is good. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but I decided on Pad Thai. I also ordered Potstickers. Don't expect a big portion. I finished all of it, so for me the portion's just the right amount. But for $7, can't really complain. The potstickers came in an order of 5. I can only eat one after I devoured my Pad Thai. So, the rest went home with me. All in all, I'm happy with my experience, so is my husband. We'll definitely go back.

Today's barbecue chicken pizza was almost a hit, but the service was a huge miss. First, the pizza. A great barbecue chicken pizza has the right balance of ingredients: a smoky barbecue sauce that isn't too sweet, chunks of chicken, fresh toppings, and a crust that can actually support everything on top of it. This one had a good barbecue sauce, just way, way too much of it. So much sauce that the crust got soggy and I had to eat it with a fork. I also had an unfortunate accident involving my brand-new chartreuse sweater. The pizza had thinly sliced red onion, which was a good choice, but that was it. No bacon or anything else to add a little texture. The onion, chicken, and barbecue sauce worked well together. The problem was the amount of sauce. It completely overwhelmed the crust. I call it an almost hit because the flavor was good, but no, I would not order it again. Dellano's Pizza Kitchen is a little hole-in-the-wall pizza place in Danville. It's narrow and a bit dark inside. There are about nine or ten booths and tables along one side, with the bar and cooking area on the other. If you walk straight to the back, there's a small patio that can accommodate small groups. I've had two meal mishaps since trying this place, and I'm just not going back. One involved a salad that I paid extra to have egg added to. When I got back to my apartment, I discovered the egg was scrambled. Who puts scrambled eggs on a salad? Now I could forgive the botched salad and the soggy pizza as isolated incidents, but the service was crazy. Our group was there to celebrate the birthday of one of my colleagues. I had a service person coming to my apartment and needed to leave quickly to make it home on time. I called ahead to order my barbecue pizza. The first person who answered the phone was very willing to take my order, but put me on hold to verify that my group had a reservation at this location. I knew they were, but she wanted to check. She was supposed to come back and take my order, but instead a gentleman picked up the phone and asked if he could help me. I repeated the story and explained that I wanted to order ahead but eat the pizza there with my group. He informed me that they do not allow call ahead orders for dine in customers. I paused, thinking he might realize how silly that sounded. He didn't. So I simply hung up, called back, and ordered it as takeout. Then when I arrived I picked up my takeout pizza, joined my group on the patio, and ate it there anyway. What made this even stranger is that I have ordered ahead and eaten there before. In fact, our group has done exactly that in the past. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. Maybe there is a policy nobody else knows about. Either way, nobody seemed to know what the actual rule was. Suggestion: If you decide to try the barbecue chicken pizza, ask for light barbecue sauce or get the sauce on the side. Tip: Play it safe and order the Philly Cheesesteak sub
