He is truly a professional businessman: knowledgeable, honest, engaging, not a pushy salesman, and makes you feel at ease. Not only is he the head of his company, but he works alongside of his team. His staff mirrors him to a tee with punctuality and providing quality work. Quality - Denni and his team restored my ceilings in over a hundred-year-old house without using new sheetrock, which I think was the easier way out. He assured me that the ceilings would look brand new, which they did. Secondly, the painting was done very neatly with a brush, roller, and spray, all while protecting my wood floors and some walls, which I did not paint. He did some other odd-end projects that came out great. If he doesn't know something, he takes a step back and thinks about it in order to make it happen. Oh, and even right down to the garbage, was folded neatly, taped, and packed in black garbage bags. Cost - This was the first time using his services and I went based on price and interview. He was clearly passionate about the project and he made us feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end of the process, which was a little over a week including the estimate and scheduling three days for prep work, painting and clean up. After assuring me he was on our side and would help pursue a refund, he went completely dark, just like the flooring company. He also was a no show on his follow up "touch up day" and went radio silent thereafter. John was personable and helpful from the start. He shared his expertise when it was appreciated but also deferred to me when I knew what I wanted in terms of color, finish, which surfaces to paint, et c. He also turned down an opportunity to upsell me when we faced a choice of color matching the surrounding walls and blending only around where his team patched or painting the entire wall - his team tried the blending at first instead of the more expensive entire wall approach, and it looks beautiful! His team was courteous and professional, working efficiently and quietly, cleaning up thoroughly each day, and protecting walls, floors, and fixtures well. His team also held themselves to a high standard of quality: when something they were reattaching had been screwed insecurely into the edge of drywall before, they used a piece of wood behind the edge of the drywall to make sure it screwed in securely. I couldn't find anything amiss in my final walk-through - and hadn't needed to intervene at all throughout the process. I've told my network thinking about a painting project to work with JP.

I needed help deciding between a few Ben Moore color choices, one of which they specifically recommended themselves, which made it easier. They were both friendly and seemed to take the task with patience, which I appreciated. I didn't want to put too much work into it, because the room set up is pretty established and I just wanted a refresh, but obviously still wanted everything to look good! I'm glad I found these guys because that's exactly what I got. The process was really easy from start to finish - I filled out an online contact form on their site and got a call to get the ball rolling the next day. An estimator came to give me quote and went through the process - what color I should buy/was recommended and how much I should buy based on how many layers he thought I'd need. Since it was just two rooms, they said it could all be done in a day! We scheduled the painting for a few days later based on my schedule. They did a great job of not getting paint on ANYTHING and I didn't pay until everything was totally done. I paid via credit card but understood that they accept payment with Venmo and PayPall too which is awesome. Overall would highly recommend - painless process and great results!

It's like people bring the dust and leave it everywhere. And since it teach and a lot of students go through the the space I often need the service. Unfortunately there are also a lot of shady painters that don't do the job well, which annoys me so much ( it would any person with OCD). So I'm super pleased that I called these guys. I definitely recommend them, they are quick and clean and I kid had to leave a review because a wonderful service like this definitely deserves it.

From experience, I knew it was a one day job, just one coat, and I considered doing it myself but painting and ADHD are not a good match. The two other companies who quoted me treated it like some huge protect. Scott gave me a very fair price over the phone, showed up a couple days later and banged it out in a day. Four hours taping? No need. Scott, who no doubt excelled in coloring as a kindergartner, simply stayed with in the lines. Scaffolding because my ceilings are high? I borrowed a ladder from my super and he used that. My one complaint? He looked like the Verizon "Can you hear me now?" guy and I friggin' hate Verizon.

I hate writing less than stellar reviews but I think people have a right to know. No, I don't want my money back and I don't even want to deal with them coming back to fix it - it's not that bad. It's just not that great either.

We have a prewar rowhouse with lots of finicky details and some unfortunate alterations over the years. So far we have hired Jim for two jobs, one to skim coat our dining room, after we stripped it down to the cracked and gnarly plaster, the other to patch up our master bedroom and then paint the walls and ceiling. The former looks like the day it was finished by off-the-boat Roman masons 125 years ago. The latter is a now maybe our favorite room in the house, not least because of the cool gold ceiling that Jim created in our sleeping nook. Beyond his skills, he is smart, clever, and professional, and he consistently gets the job done better and faster than expected, without charging an arm and a leg for it. We even tried to work with him when he said he was very busy with bigger, (apparently) more important jobs and that it might take a while (8 weeks or so) for him to get to us. He strung us along a bit and now, four months later, it seems we're ghosted. We STILL desperately need our kitchen ceiling painted... Hoping to find someone who'll deign to return our calls and come around and slap just any old paint up there at this point.

I have had Dave, the owner of Perfect Painting, paint the exterior of my house on two occasions…read more(the fact I brought him back for a second paint job says a ton). I believe he did a professional, quality job both times at a fair price. The first paint job looked good for years and lasted well over 10 years (all you can reasonably expect). With the first painting, we had just completed an addition, so the job required painting both a new, fresh surface, as well as an 80 year old structure. Both times the crew prepared the house well. They sanded huge sections of the house, removing all the chipping as well as other faults of the old paint job.They were neat and environmentally conscience, using vacums with hoses attached to the sanders, working behind plastic sheeting and on top of drop clothes to contain the paint chips. The paint job itself was very professional. Dave also stands behind his work. I had some minor chipping that I thought was premature a few years after the second paint job. I called Dave and explained the problem. He came by and looked at the house. He stood behind his work and offered to touch up the area, simply asking that I be flexible with the timing (totally reasonable in my opinion - I offered he simply do it when he had a window of time). When the time came to do the touch up, he took a chip of paint off the house, went to the paint store to match the paint chip (we had the original color code/name, but Dave was cognizant of the fact that paint fades as it ages and is exposed to the elements - so the job required a slightly different tone to the color which the sample afforded him the opportunity to custom mix a paint to match the faded color) and then sent his crew over to prep and apply a fresh paint job to the area. The touched up area blended in very nicely with the existing paint job, so one could not tell the difference by color. This review comes from a guy that painted for a business in high school and college, after having been taught by my Dad how to do it right. I had many repeat customers due to the quality of my work. I also have run my own businesses over the years. Therefore, I think I have a fairly good idea of what to expect from both a business owner and a professional painter: I am happy to say that Dave delivered professionalism on both counts.
