DO NOT use this company! Repairs do not last, "brand new" parts break again within 90 days and labor is only guaranteed for 30 days. The business model seems to be based on coming out for repeat "diagnostics", and they are either installing faulty parts or purposely installing incorrectly. Either way, it's a sham. Ex: We repaired our dishwasher with them in January and the "brand new part" broke less than 90 days later. We paid over $500 all in for parts and labor, and now they now want to charge another $140 to come out and 'diagnose' it again (the keypad is not responding, my dog could diagnose it). They charge a minimum of 100+ in labor "depending on what it needs". The same exact thing happened in August/November when we had to repair an electronic component on our oven -- in that case it was at $1500 repair -- we replaced it in August and the "brand new" part broke the day before Thanksgiving. Parts are covered by manufacturer but labor costs stand, they refuse to discount or waive despite the obvious. After my conversation with the DanMarc manager this morning, I called THREE other appliance repair companies and EVERY SINGLE ONE said they would at least discount the return visit within 90 days -- if not waive fee entirely. They all also said the to buy a new dishwasher based on my description, free advice. One star is one too many, but Yelp requires the "1" minimum. read more

The company staff is unreliable, rude, impossible to reach on phone and always abdicating responsibility for faulty service. They arbitrarily cancel appointments without justification and don't even apologize for the inconvenience. They have absolutely no concept of customer service. BE FORWARNED - Dan Marc Appliance service is TERRIBLE. I had a problem with a faulty "Replace Water Filter" message on my fairly new refrigerator. The mechanic could not figure out how to resolve the issue. Even worse, the company tells you when they are coming by picking a three-hour window, that you either take-it, or leave-it. When I try to tell them I will be home only for seven hours they basically said, "the time given is the only time. If that isn't convenient, reschedule". Our Maytag washing machine purchased in 2018 would violently vibrate with loud noises with any kind of load and Dan-Marc was recommended by the Maytag customer service. In the first visit, the technician said he could fix it and the parts would cost $450 plus labor. We scheduled the repair visit three days later and the total cost was $751 and he said the machine was tested with good results. Three days later I tried using the washer and the same problems presented itself. I wrote to the president, Mr Dan Versch, explained the situation and asked for a refund of the $751 because the washing machine was not fixed and we were going on two weeks without a washing machine, He offered to send someone else out to look at it, but we could no longer wait and had to order a new machine at approximately the same price as what we were charged for the faulty repair. ZERO STARS would be appropriate. This company is the worst. Like so many others on this page, I have had an awful experience with them and am currently in dispute and contacting the BBB as well as the manufacturer of my freezer and the store that sold it and recommended their service. They were very fast to send a technician to my house to diagnose the problem. He said I needed one part and it would be sent to him in a day or two. Many days later it arrived, and getting an appointment scheduled took a week, because Dan Marc will not commit to a time window until the previous day and they will not respect customer availability (for instance saying you are available in the morning but not the afternoon). The technician installed the part and said it would take 48 hours for my freezer to fully chill. By then it was a holiday weekend, so I waited 3 days until they were open and called the office. Instead of prioritizing fixing an incorrect job, it took 6 days to get the technician (a different one) to my house. He told me I needed one other part, and when I asked how expensive it would be he told me he didn't think there'd be any charge. Silly me, I thought it was the company making up for their mistake -- but no, this morning there was an invoice for TWO parts in my inbox. It feels like more than mere incompetence...and reading so many others' reviews I think my gut is correct. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews a month ago. Incompetent technicians and very poor customer service. Technician Luis caused water damage in my guest bathroom. He came in to fix the refrigerator light; he pulled the refrigerator forward and broke the water pipe. Dan Mark Appliance was the recommended "authorized " repair company from Whirlpool (Kitchen Aid refrigerator) to repair lights inside the refrigerator. The refrigerator has a water dispenser and ice maker that requires a water line that was properly installed at refrigerator delivery. The shortest route was directly behind the refrigerator in the adjoining bathroom. Any other water line would be 5-10 times the distance away. Everything Dan Mark Appliance service manager wrote is false. The first thing a certified technician should do is check the water line. The culpability occurred when they sent an unqualified technician who pulled out the refrigerator damaging the water line. Then they sent the same tech who didn't understand what he did wrong back to try to cover up the damages. Then the manager made false statements in response to this complaint. Whirlpool did not own the issue - they 'washed their hands.' However, I made a formal complaint to Whirlpool. read more

Terrible terrible customer service, I almost got into arguments with their customer service, twice. My fridge is new and doesn't work for 2 months now, they still can't fix it, or even make an appointment scheduled. When I called them, they falsely claimed me cancel the appointment (excuse me, I'm living with a broken fridge, why I want to cancel at the first place?), I explained I am calling back for a voice mail they left regarding my appointment confirmation. They didn't acknowledge it, instead, they kept going: This is what our system shows, you either cancelled it or you should call a different manufacturer. I called Whirlpool, scheduled an appointment again, after that I called Dan Marc to confirm, they said they haven't received anything from whirlpool. I repeated the process... for a third time, and well.. still doesn't work. I'm changing a manufacturer now :) I feel like I'm talking to a robot whose system is completely broken. We purchased a microwave last year but didn't install it because our old one started working. When it finally died this spring, the installers came and discovered the product was damaged. We were in a bad situation because we did not inspect the microwave on delivery. Whirlpool sent Keith from Dan-Marc to troubleshoot. Keith and Barbara from Dan-Marc were fantastic in helping us sort out this problem, where Whirlpool wanted us to purchase a new door - even though the product is still under full warranty. I would not recommend. First they refused to provide insurance certificate as required. At the last minute they provide wrong or missing info so assessment for repair had to be rescheduled. Then repairman orders parts and tells us he will bring a helper to help move the stackable washer & dryer out. Then his office send a different repairman without a helper and they claim we need to hire a mover to move W&D out. There was no mention of this prior. I have had W&D for 12 years and have other repair company and they have never asked us to have someone move it out for them. I had appointment scheduled for a Monday. I was told I would get a call giving me a three hour window. By Friday end of day I was worried since I didn't get a call so I left a voicemail. They have Saturday hours. I never got a return call on Saturday. I started second guessing myself for my Monday Appt. I needed to let my job know. Sunday afternoon I get the automated call. So now I'm giving my job less than 24 hours notice. I was told between 1200-300. At 315 I call since they didn't come. Holy. Crap. Condescending and rude is an understatement! The (I use this word loosely) man on the other end of the phone even went as far as to spell his name to me, "to make sure I mention him and how terrible he was in my review" I have been battling with Whirlpool for nearing 3 weeks on trying to figure out why my washing machine stopped working out of the blue after only 18 months. We had multiple repair men and calls with Whirlpool.. we finally came to the conclusion that it was the Control Board. Ok great.. two weeks into it.. we figure it out. My appointment is set on Friday 7/17/2020 for Monday 7/27/2020. On Monday 7/20/2020 I call and speak with someone.. tell them the situation.. they place me on a brief hold.. come back and confirm that the technician will have that part with them. Great, thanks! I said. Then.. today. Today is Friday 7/24/2020 at about 4:45pm... I hadn't heard anything to confirm for Monday. Now, Whirlpool had informed me that this particular vendor tends to not call to let you know that you have been rescheduled. So, I call.. I need to make sure that after 3 weeks of not having a washer and a family of 5 that the washer was being repair on Monday... we NEEDED this fixed! I was told that they are not going to have the part with them and they would not do anything without coming out to diagnose on their own. Once they do that, they then get you on the schedule within two weeks. TWO MORE WEEKS. I said, no.. that's not what Whirlpool and the previous person with your company said.. he then proceeds to yell and me.. again, spelling out his name and completely disrespecting and condescending me. Dan Marc was called for two machines: the dryer and the washer. The dryer needed repair for which we gladly paid. The washing machine diagnosis took less than one minute (we provided the error codes which was confirmed in 1 minute by the technician). We were charged $141 for that 1 minute of work. That equals almost $1000/HOUR. Dan Marc would not reduce the charge. What an inhumane way to conduct business! read more

the technician is a joke. i brought up all the issue to him on the first visit, he had told me the gasket is not cover under the warranty; even it is defected???? (i even showed him that there are no reinforce inside the gasket). he only changed parts that seem broken, never bother to fix the main problem that caused all the issues. last visit he came and left because he need the fridge to be unplugged 3 days before he visit, but he gave me the noticed one day in advance.... after 4 visit, (tomorrow will be the 5th visit), 3 parts was changed and 4 months had passed, my Fridge is still not working!!!! i think Dan Marc is a fraud, they should be investigated. read more
