She is always treated well, like family and has, in fact, become friends with many of the fine folk here. Years back I needed to find a place to get my hair cut, and local barbers were not cutting it (ok poor pun) and I have been coming ever since. I get a hair wash, a glass of wine, or coffee, and treated very well! Like family, certainly a good friend of the family. I now buy hair product from them as well! I should have written a review sooner - a good local business that you should frequent!

Been pretty displeased to find that I've called 4 times on 4 different busy days during their posted hours and no one answered the phone. Impossible to book a massage if no one answers the phone.... Finally got through to someone and she said she'd get back to me with available times that week. The girl calls me back and just stated it is all dermatology tested . Its been over a week and my face ( forehead ) is no better its actually worse, so I have to make a dermatology appointment now. The owner of the spa or the young lady that did my facial has not even called me once to see if Im better , or nothing . Thats not very good customer service at all , the owner should be ashamed of herself . Never again will I go back there , and to the woman that get facials find out whats going on your face before its done !

Claudel (@claudel_pottle) was in charge of hair, Diana (@beautybydiana.ct) for makeup. I will say, once I saw myself in the mirror I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked! They not only made me look like a beautiful bride, but they also catered to the needs of my maid of honor, bridesmaids, flower girls, and mother. Amazingly, with my mom, she said "do whatever you think would look good" for hair, and Claudel came up with a breathtaking hairdo! Not to mention the hair and makeup stayed put the entire night, some of us into the morning! This was with the high stress of dancing ourselves silly. If you want quality hair and makeup that will make you look like a princess AND stay in place, book with Elle. A second point: Mahnaz, the owner, was originally supposed to do my hair. She unfortunately injured her hand the week of the wedding, but was extremely communicative and helped me get a second trial with Claudel so I was comfortable and confident the day of! While I was sad I would not have Mahnaz there that day, I do hope she has a speedy recovery and is proud of the work her employees did on our special day. I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time however I had gone quite frequently in the past to an amazing nail technician and place. One - it's very cold in there. Not too pleasant when you're sitting there for nails, and wearing fairly warm shoes. Two - the "quick dry" spray doesn't dry. Not to put your coat on isn't an option in the winter in New England. Having a place to dry your nails needs to be in place or atleast communicating to your client just sit here for x more minutes then we can check them. And lastly a smooth looking nail is expected when you pay for nails. I do my nails all the time at home the only different is that smooth finish you hope to achieve by a nail technician. The simple nail art did come out beautiful. Honestly, the salon itself is a no for me altogether with a less than average experience. I don't recommend it. I can be more specific of other issues but I honestly don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I think the salon owner needs to pay more attention to details while there are far too many nail salons to choose from that capitalize on one of these issues. Maybe it was a bad first experience but i won't be returning.

However, she had a puppy in the office who jumped all over me and stole my socks while I was getting my facial. I love dogs, but this is just unprofessional. Me and the stylist had decided on going through with a color correction since i was originally going to go blonde from brown and had red color in my hair. They were super accommodating when I had to reschedule because of jury duty to 7/17. The issues came when I called ahead of time (6/25) if i should stick to the colour correction since I had changed my mind from going bleach blonde to something close to my natural with chunky highlight. The receptionist gave me her number and asked me to send her photos of my current hair and an inspo which i did during our call at 2:02 pm. She said the owner was out of town and wanted to consult her first. I had to take the time off of work way in advance so I was hoping they would call me if they cancelled. The day before I call and the part time receptionist finds out my appointment was cancelled and no one knows why. I am slightly frustrated because again I took time off work and no one seems to know about why it's canceled or anything about the photos I had sent. She offered to rebook me and then go find out but being wary of scheduling more time off without a service I just asked if she could find out first and then call me back. I never received a call back. They were nothing but kind to me but I just felt like as a new client they weren't too interested in doing my hair so I will be going somewhere else. Just a shame because I liked the place before but I feel like its more effort than it's worth when it seems so disorganized.
