Stay away from this doctor, a disgrace. on my second visit, her thoroughness was quite lack, never even reviewed my previous blood reports, based on my new bloodwork, this doctor changed my throid meds. Immediately after my visit, i was introduced to her office assistant who tried to sell me an annual/member subscription for which many services i did not need. i left the office saying i would review, however, most likely a monthly subscription would not be something i would be interested in and went my merry way. Next day i went to my pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions which Dr. Cohen had told me she was prescribing, much to my surprise there were no prescriptions. When i called dr's office, i was referred to office assistant who said, i neglected to tell you last night, but prescriptions are not covered unless you sign up for the membership fee (I JUST PAID $650.00 FOR THIS VISIT AND PRESCRIPTIONS NOT COVERED????????............. I went ballistic -- i said you NEVER disclosed that, what kind of doctor sees a patient and prescribes meds and expects a membership fee, WHAT ABOUT THE $650.00 I JUST PAID WHAT WAS THAT FOR????? NO RESPONSE. OFFICE ASSISTANT APOLOGIZED AND SAID SORRY I DIDNT DISCLOSE THIS ABOUT THE PRESCRIPTIONS LAST NIGHT. I SAID NO WORRIES I AM GOING TO DISPUTE THE AMEX CHARGE AS I DONT PAY DOCTORS THAT ISSUE PRESCRIPTIONS AND FORCE A MEMBERSHIP FEE THAT I DONT NEED DOWN MY THROAT FOR FURTHER INSULT TO INJURY. Bottom line, had i gotten my prescription, all would have been well -- in 4-6 months i would have made another appointment with this doctor as is usual and customary with other practictioners such as her, however, this dr forces you to pay not only $1500.00 for two visits, but then another $3500.00 for the subscription. I thought she was a medical doctor not a personal trainer --- STAY AWAY FROM THIS FALSE PRETENSE OF A PERSON -- she wants to sell shakes that taste horrific, books that make no sense and just in it for the money as opposed to sticking with her oath as a medical practitioner -- plenty of good doctors out there. I will continue to dispute my charge with the credit card company and continue to write these reviews as it is my duty to advise the public to stay far away from Dr. Dana Cohen. By the way to be even more transparent since writing bad reviews is not my thing, had my credit card charge for $650.00 not been challenged i may not have even bothered to write this review, however, this doctor thinks they can deceive the public, NO WAY, I AM GOING TO WRITE A REVIEW ON EVERY PLATFORM OUTTHERE TO ENSURE THAT THE PUBLIC IS PROTECTED FROM THESE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN IT NOT TO UPHOLD THEIR OATH BUT FOR GREED ONLY. read more

It is about 9 months since I've seen Dr. Cohen, I am still recovering from the damaged state she left me in. After following her cleanse regime and taking a slew of supplements (which cost me a lot of money) I went completely manic. I have never experienced a manic episode in my entire life, I was on no psychiatric drugs or receiving any psychiatric treatment previously. When this happened and I contacted Dr. Cohen (or I should say tried to, you usually can only speak to the receptionist), she just told me she didn't know what was wrong with me, or what may have triggered this, and basically washed her hands of me. I couldn't believe what horrible treatment i received from her, especially after ponying up so much money. I just urge anyone seeing Dr. Cohen to be cautious with the prescriptions, supplements, and cleanses she recommends. She had told me that I was hypothyroid, and in fact I took my test results to my regular doctor, my gynecologist, and an endocrinologist who all said I wasn't. I left her office after the second visit with a list of 15 different supplements and prescriptions to take. I asked her if any of them were potentially stimulating, she said no. I got so sick after taking just half of them, and subsequently went manic, and had to go on medication to stabilize me. I have been seeing Dr. Cohen for about 3 years and I don't have enough words to express how grateful I feel. On my first visit I was dragging my feet, I was always feeling very tired, overweight, unable to sleep, anxiety and depression, hot flashes and energy was non existent. I had a complete blood twork which included all part of my organs, urine and saliva and including thyroid/TSH. After evaluating the tests results she prescribed the herbal supplements and vitamins necessary to balance my body including bio-identical hormone replacement. I feel FANTASTIC, I learned to eat a clean diet, eliminating dairy and gluten to help with inflammation. Have my supplements every day, exercise and I am enjoying life. I lost interest because I've called several times in the last year to inquire about making an appointment, and left a message with the receptionist, including the receptionist that takes messages when office hours are closed. Each time I said it's important I get an answer to this. Not once did I receive a call back. I had important questions to ask before booking an appointment because it is expensive, and I even asked for a call back about booking an appointment, and no call back. If you are looking for a doctor that cares about her patients, Dr. Cohen is not for you. Despite the hefty bills, Dr. Cohen was unwilling to communicate with me unless I was paying for a visit. When I was gravely ill with ulcerative colitis and stuck in bed in my house 40 minutes from her office, she refused to take or return my phone calls. Her receptionist invited me to email Dr. Cohen my questions. I wrote a long email asking for her advice and never heard back. As someone who has struggled with health issues and seen many doctors, Dr. Cohen is at the bottom of the list. She just doesn't care. Please don't waste your time and money. read more

I found Dr. Cohen on the internet, and trusted my intuition to go to her. I was dead on. I've been going to every doctor my insurance will cover, and while she was out of network for me, she was worth every penny that I paid. I had no idea based on these reviews and her website what she might suggest for me, and I was quite surprised. No wheatgrass and no gluten free for me! (thank God) She took blood, and tested my adrenals and iodine levels, someone no one else had done. My severe lack of iodine ties directly into my 2 major health issues, and no other doctor thought to check it, or to prescribe iodine pills, which I am now taking. I look and feel fantastic.
